pride and prejudice - Aria - February 02, 2016 Reading this book for school and I actually really love it. Hoping for a thread with one of the pups again, if that's okay <3 @Deirdre @Emaleth (also alerting the parent people @Lasher @Blue Willow) Almost subconsciously, Aria made her way towards the warm den of the Donnelaith witches. Her encounter with the white babe had warmed her to her core, and she couldn't help but want to go back and visit. She didn't know if she would be allowed to, but perhaps another pup would have snuck out and she'd have to rescue it again! Or maybe a family member would allow her a visit. She wasn't sure, but she wanted to watch them again. She had yet to meet the black pup, and although it was not her family, she did wish it was.
The white princess arrived hurriedly, in her jaws a velveteen antler, much like the one the babies had already been introduced to. Of course she didn't know this, but she assumed that they would be teething and wished to supply them with something to nom on other than their parents and one another. She stood a bit of ways away from the den, letting out a low whine in hopes an adult would greet her. If not, perhaps she'd just leave the antler and return back- she was not invited anyway.
RE: pride and prejudice - Emaleth - February 02, 2016 Being vague because I'm behind on puppy development, but I want Emaleth to meet everyone! Better posts forthcoming after I've caught up on old threads, etc! <3 or, ok, where did this come from
She lay sleeping against the dark furs of her parents— at least, in the depth of her slumber, she believed that it was both— her growing body entwined with that of her sister, Deirdre's. Although her fear of the Otherworld had since faded, the dark child still preferred the warm darkness of this den; this little place that was home and everything good. Soon, Emaleth would explore all she could of the Otherworld... drinking in each New Thing with an unparalleled thirst for knowledge and understanding... but this place, this place that seemed to shrink as she grew, would always be her heart. She thought— though she did not understand it, not truly— that even when eons passed, this place would always draw her near. It was a ley line of love and safety that connected directly to her soul. A small, black ear twitched at the sound of a low whine; Emaleth immediately snapped awake, loosing a soothing whisper toward her sister, "Deeyah." For she assumed it was her sister, disturbed perhaps by a nightmare— but when Deirdre remained asleep, merely nestling closer, the dark child lifted her head to look around in bleary confusion. RE: pride and prejudice - Deirdre - February 03, 2016 i shouldn't, but.........
she slept soundly. with her sister in good health again, deirdre was at ease again. all she knew was happiness again, except when she caught on to others misery. even then she remained happy, eager to make them such a way, too! deirdre heard the whine and one eye cracked open thinly, her supple body turning stiff as stone when she thought her sister might be frightened. the soft word her sister crooned—a word for her, deirdre now understood—caused her to release the anxious breath she had held, and she closed her eyes again and pressed nearer to her. deirdre breathed her sister in, and tried to find her way to her dreams again. RE: pride and prejudice - Aria - February 06, 2016 Was waiting for a parent person but, ah hell let's get to the little babies <3 The little pups made a noise from inside the den, but Aria could scarcely hear if they were really speaking or not. She let out another low whine before making her way on her belly towards the den entrance. The snowy girl waited curiously to see if the pups would come towards her or be frightened, forcing her to leave and not cause them more stress. She held the familiar gift tightly in her jaws, wondering if Deirdre especially would remember her from the days before.
RE: pride and prejudice - Emaleth - March 12, 2016 Though Deirdre was content to return to sleep, little Emaleth felt unsettled and restless; she felt another Change that she did not understand. For though she had traveled to the Otherworld and had met someone new, it hadn't occurred to the child that someone new could pass the threshold into the den. Casmir and Eilidh were as one with The Bringer and Giver; their relation to her would be clear to her in time, but for now they had always simply been. She could no longer remember a time without any of them. But this snowy creature shifting in the den's entrance was not The large white form Emaleth knew, and she burbled to her companion curiously. "Look," she urged Deirdre. "What's this?" When her sister did not wake, the child gave a wistful look at this new Being, and reluctantly moved to her sister's side and slumber there, leaving the stranger to wonder at their door. |
