It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 @Esteban The man was sunbathing quietly on a rock. His stomach was full, for he had just eaten a very good sized rabbit earlier, he would have to eat for a few days. As his light dozing session came to an end, he wearily lifted his head to scan the surrounding area. He licked a bit of blood that was still left on his muzzle, scanning the area, spotting movement down below. Maybe it was some prey? He leaped down from the rock, and carefully walked down to where he thought he saw the movement. As he grew closer, a wolfs scent travels into his nose. He pricked his ears up and gave a soft Chuff to show his presence. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 Esteban had been traveling a while before coming across a beautiful canyon in the mountains. He decided to make his way down and explore the snow touched sand and colored rocks. There was an air of warmth at the bottom, which was nice for a change. He was taking a pleasant stroll when the scent of a wolf reached his nose and a chuff alerted him to another's presence. He looked for the source, and finally his eyes rested on the mystery man. "Hola, mi amigo!" he said cheerily. "What es tu name?" he said with his thick accent and broken English. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 The wolf spotted him, with a cheery attitude. He had an accent, that the man was not familiar with. "Ahoj cizinec. Muj jméno je Cogitemus." he spoke. "Hello stranger. My name is Cogitemus." he translated. "Co je vás jméno?" He asked. His native tongue took over, Czech. "What is your name?" he asked with a smile. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 Ah, another different language-speaker! Esteban was excited by this, this man must know the struggle of learning the common language of this land. His english (or whatever they speak normally) was very good, though, so maybe they could have a chat about that sometime. "Esteban," he said with a grin. His large and fluffy self was in his usual good mood today. "Do you know of a pack close?" he asked with interest. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 The man's interest was pleasing to him. "Ano já dopolende tvorba jeden." he said. Yes, actually, I am making a pack." he said with a smile. His tail wagged a bit. He tilted his head. "Would you be interested?" RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 This was great news to the half-Mexican. "Really? Si, yes, amigo. Where would it be?" he asked with a wagging tail. He assumed it would be here, but he wanted to clarify first. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 The man wagged his tail gently before smiling. "For now, it will be in this canyon, but we are planning to move soon, possibly to Phantom Hollow." he said with a laugh. "Would you like a tour of our current home?" he asked, trying greatly to avoid his language in official pack business. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 Esteban gave an excited smile, and nodded in response. He liked the idea of living in this canyon, but a Phantom Hollow sounded cooler. For now, he was content to explore his current surroundings with his apparent new leader. "Si, that sounds mucho divertito. Much fun." he said, trying the other's method of speaking first in his native language then translating. He didn't like it as much. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 The man started off, assuming Esteban would follow. They came upon the large pool of blood red sand that Cogitemus loved dearly, and would be fairly sad leaving. He let the light male look over the land before moving forward, eventually letting his paws sink into the sand, a feeling he had gotten fond of. The mostly Mexican man would probably be used to it, though he hadn't mentioned his birthplace. He moved forward to a spring, their main supply of water, which was fairly big. "This is our little spring." He said, taking a few laps of the actually cold water. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 The darker man started off, leaving Esteban to follow after, which he did, with an air of wonder about him. The blood red sand was somewhat familiar to him. He finally grasped the memory of himself and a few buddies playing dead more than a few times to get a scare from the others. He had to smile at that, and enjoyed the feeling of familiar sand between his weather toughened toes. He was glad of the water, as well, as he took a couple laps. "Bonita. Very pretty here." he said, looking around. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 16, 2016 He smiled, and began to walk off. "Tam je nic jiny." he mumbled. "Wait, there is a bit more, come!" He said before running off. The stopped on a cliff, painted with reds and in the distance the Wilds. "This is my favorite place here Esteban, take it all in." he breathed. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 16, 2016 Esteban looked up in surprise when the dark man ran off. If there was more and he was this excited about it, he'd better follow. After catching up with him quickly with his large strides, he stopped beside him and looked upon the sight with wonder. He let out a whistle and gazed, wide-eyed, at the gorgeous sight. "Wow. No words." he breathed out. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 17, 2016 All Cogitemus could do was nod. "It's pretty amazing." he said softly. He let Esteban look for a bit longer before speaking. "So, are you still interested?" he asked. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Esteban - February 18, 2016 would you mind wrapping this up? I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow and won't be able to do much :p. Thanks for the thread!
The dark man finally asked if he was interested, to which he replied with a hearty, vigorous nod. "Definitely" he said a matter-of-factly. "So where es the rest?" he asked with some interest. He had half a mind to ask how many females, or potential girlfriend material, there was going to be, but refrained for the sake of his neck. But nonetheless he wanted to meet his new but unofficial pack mates. RE: It's red sand, not blood - Cogitemus - February 18, 2016 The man smiled a bit. "Awesome! The rest usually stay inside the canyon, you should go check it out. Well, see you later Esteban, I'm positive I will see you around." He said, before dipping his head, and running off into the direction he thought he smelt Malice earlier. |
