on the verge of the rest of my life - Ditty - March 18, 2016 maybe LSG-potentials? 8)
A grotto. Of all places, it had to be a grotto instead of the rolling hills of the valley up north, or something. Anything. But Ditty was convinced to make this work and so he set out to explore the grotto's surroundings that day. Reek and Tavi were off doing other stuff and he wanted to be the first one to meet potential recruits were they to come here, 'cause then he could present them to his new leaders to make them see how incredibly valuable he was to their new pack-to-be! He hoped there'd be lots of cool girls too, 'cause Ditty could feel his imaginary uterus rambling — he'd inherited his mom's love for pups (from young age he'd always looked after and lorded over his own siblings and other pups in the pack) and he really really really could barely wait 'til he would be a dad himself. Oh man. It'd be the best thing ever, he bet. Ditty had decided to go hunting that day and he soon found the tracks of a rabbit. He approached it all sneaky-like, but when he nearly reached it it darted away. Ditty followed it along the rocky sides of the grotto, through the tall grasses, until he finally took a leap and — landed face-first inside the rabbit hole. His sleek nose slipped into the hole and when Ditty tried to backtrack his steps he realised with a start that — oh no! — he was stuck in the hole! RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Hush - March 19, 2016 Would you mind if I used this as a scouting thread? :O
Hush, still unfamiliar with the taiga their pack inhabited, took a scouting expedition to the west. With spring here, he thought it would be best if they found as many hunting areas as they could outside of their own mountain. That was his explanation, if he could give one, to anyone who asked why he left. Internally he was satiating his desire to explore, to run, to get away from the cold and experience the warmth of Teekon Wilds. He ventured to the other side of the glacier, arriving in a grotto nestled in between it and two other mountain peaks. Hush's nose twitched with delight at the smell of fresh flowers and plants, the smell of fresh air and unlocked water, and the smell of rabbits. It was the latter scent that attracted his attention away from the scenery. Food was what he came here for wasn't it? Hush trailed the scent, his body close to the ground as he stalked forward, but a thump! stopped him in his tracks. What was that? Hush turned towards the sound, which was soon accompanied by scratching on the dirt. Soon he saw the culprit, and Hush laughed his peculiar, choking laugh; a wolf was stuck face first in a rabbit hole. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Ditty - March 20, 2016 of course not ^^
"Hnnnngg," Ditty echoed into the hole while he tried to squirm his head out of it. How embarrassing this was! He sure hoped that nobody would see him like this. He didn't hear that anyone else was approaching and so he just continued to scratch and pull. Yet it was hard to find purchase anywhere, as the dirt just scratched out from under him, it seemed, and his sleek head remained ever stuck inside of the hole. Luckily there was plenty of oxygen down there — well, enough, at least — but with a tired wheeze Ditty realised it wasn't gonna be as easy as he had hoped to pull his head out of there. In a desperate attempt Ditty called out, "Hello? Is anyone there? Can anyone help me?" His words echoed through the rabbit hole, causing rabbits to skitter away deeper into the warren. Maybe with some luck, a remnant of his voice's strength would echo out of one of the other holes and someone'd hear him and find him, Ditty thought. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Hush - March 20, 2016 Hush walked towards the trapped wolf, smirking at his predicament but still willing to help him. It wasn't fair to just leave him there. Hush poked the wolf with his paw and barked loudly, getting his attention. The coywolfdog raised his paw to the wolf's shoulder, a gesture aiming to tell him to calm down. The gesture given, Hush dug at the ground near his head experimentally, trying to see if it was soft enough for him to widen to give the wolf some purchase to squeeze himself out. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Eslani - March 20, 2016 Barges into thread with a grin, We meet again Hush...>;3
Eslani watched in horror as the small male walked up to her future packmate. Yes, she had never met the male, but she knew the scent of Reek now, and it was on him. She gave a low growl, her hackles raising. She reached her long neck up and looked down upon him from a few meters away. She had been hunting for the pack, and now had 2 rabbits and a pheasant. She had been going to the scent of vole before she found the scent of him. Why here? She knew his pack was close, but their was no reason that the male had to tread on the Grotto, they'd been marking it after all. She whirled around, flinging herself at the unknown packmate. She stood on the opposite side Hush was standing on and snarled menacingly. She, yes, had a cut paw but was not scared of a fight. Her amber eyes were set ablaze, no way was this male would harm her packmate. "Back off! Why are you in our borders..?" She asked in a low rumble, she had no tolerance for him. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Ditty - March 21, 2016 "Hey! Who's poking me!" Ditty shouted into the hole when he felt someone poke at him, not calming down much at all. To him, his voice sounded super loud and echoey, but on the outside they would hear it far more muffled. Then he finally felt paws starting to scratch at the side of his neck, however, and Ditty felt relieved to know that someone was getting him out of here. Ditty tried to pull his head through, but he didn't quite manage yet when the scratching stopped again. He kept on pulling, hoping that he would soon get his head free. He could feel it wedge a little bit... Any moment now... Completely unaware of the strife going on outside of this rabbit hole, Ditty kept pulling fervently to try and get out. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Hush - March 24, 2016 In case you didn't know Ezi this is set before LSG was formed :P
Hush, his poke not working as he wished, began to dig around the hole, expanding it and giving the wolf some wiggle room in order to pull his head out. He didn't know that this was a member of a rival pack, and frankly he didn't care right now. Leaving a wolf to be stuck in a rabbit's den was nothing to sneeze out, rival or not. He continued his pursuit of the wolf's freedom until he was interrupted by a familiar sight. Hush turned and snarled at the former trespasser, his fangs baring as he looked inbetween her and the trapped wolf. Didn't she see that he was trying to help this guy? The nerve of some people. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Eslani - March 26, 2016 Whoops! Sorry
Eslani growled. He may have been trying to help, but he was still a nemesis of hers. She revealed her fangs in a grimace, telling him to back off. She did not want this to end badly. If it happened to be a fight, oh well, but she would rather avoid one until LSG was established. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Ditty - March 29, 2016 With a "Wah!!" Ditty's head finally came free from its prison and he toppled backwards, making a somersault before he landed dizzily on his butt. He blinked and looked around, seeing a bunch of wolves not far off. Not aware of the tensions going on and too dizzy to see it too, Ditty let out a loud and relieved, "Thank you!" Because he was glad that he wasn't going to suffocate in a rabbit hole today. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Hush - April 01, 2016 With a pull, the trapped wolf was released from his embarrassing prison. Hush chuffed softly in his own way of saying "you're welcome". He looked towards the familiar trespasser, his face twisted into an "I told you so" sneer. Couldn't she put this feud behind her for one moment so he could save someone? Jeez. RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Eslani - April 06, 2016 Sorry, got to much stuff so I'm gonna end on a boring not
The woman snarled once more before glancing over with a frown at ditty and trotting of, unhappy. How dare that male! Maybe he was trying to help, but she did not care, she still hated him. She would get him...yes she would.
RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Ditty - April 10, 2016 Ditty blinked as he looked at his angry packmate wandering off. "Geez, what's her problem?" he wondered aloud, blinking his icy blue eyes rapidly as he tried to assess the situation. Having no clue what was going on, Ditty decided to simply go and relax somewhere after having his head stuck down a hole for some time. "Thanks again, see ya 'round!" he told the other dude and he wandered off, only to realise later that he hadn't smelled Reek or Tavi on the dude and damn it, he could've tried to recruit the dude into the pack! my last post :)
RE: on the verge of the rest of my life - Hush - April 10, 2016 Hush smirked at the female's departure. How anyone could be that daft baffled him. How couldn't she smell a border or even tell that he was helping the wolf? Really, the nerve! Aw well. He turned to the freed wolf, nodding as he watched him walk away. Hush sniffed the rabbit hole, knowing that any lagomorphs wouldn't be returning to that warren anytime soon. He turned away from the forest, heading back to the Dragon, thoroughly amused by the experience. |
