no fun - Sica - March 24, 2016 The rolling tide and stormy clouds brought in the lone coyote from the lands to the west. He followed the oceanside, if only because it meant he had a ready supply of food, however meagre. He toyed with the idea of travelling inland but the scent of wolves kept him at bay. Eventually, though, he would have to. He cast a quick glance towards the sea, where the dark clouds sat looming over the horizon. A strong, cold breeze came from that direction, promising foul weather should it reach shore. However, Sica wanted to satisfy his hunger before finding a place to sleep — preferably before nightfall. He quickly picked his way through the tide pools, slim snout to the ground and sharp eyes trained for any movement. A crab made an appearance suddenly, ducking out of sight and scuttling under a rock a second later. The hunter was determined, however, and swerved to pounce and shove his muzzle in the small crevice between the rocks. He snapped feverishly, scrabbling his paws against the ground as he tried to reach his elusive prey. RE: no fun - Sadie - March 24, 2016 Sadie Sea Salt was at it again, hoping to bring home a skull for her own. The captain had many in his chambers (when she snuck in a few looks), so why couldn't she own one? It was her time to go and find something, either kill it herself or go and find an old one. She didn't care, she wanted something big to fit in her den. Maybe a elk skull or another wolf... She continued her path down the shoreline, blood staining her dark lips and rusty fur from her last meal. Crabs could really pack a punch sometimes, one got her really good on the muzzle. It was bleeding still, for there were no spiderwebs around to stop the bleeding, nor marigold flowers. Her trot pace was even and quick, the sea roared in her ear like white noise. Her eyes stayed low on the ground, searching for trinkets, though a foul scent swept through her nose. Coyote. Her head raised itself to a high stature as her pace quickened to a lope, wanting to see the coyote herself. Would she take it with her? If she killed it, then yeah she would. The skull would look dandy in her small den, she would mark it as her own and hide it away. Her hackles were raised to an extent, she would not burst until her eyes found the coyote and her blood pumped enough energy. Until then, she conserved herself. Her blood lust grew with every footfall. Sadie has an intention to kill, we could do a dice roll to play everything out if you want?
RE: no fun - Sica - March 30, 2016 Dice rolls are cool with me! :D
The coyote was persistent, but his prey was doubly so. It stayed within the confines between the two rocks, safe from the jaws of the predator. It's spindly forelimbs were outstretched and poised, pinchers at the ready. However Sica couldn't quite get close enough. His fur bristled as he scrabbled and rubbed his nose against the rock until it was raw but it was in vain effort. The boy withdrew with a huff, tail swinging madly behind him in frustration, before his attention was caught by a shift in the breeze that brought with it a dangerous scent. He turned slowly, taking a few moments to spot the sand and rust-coloured wolf amongst the backdrop of the bay. There was a certain determination in it's stride and Sica watched worriedly before backing up, hurrying to break the line of sight between him and the larger animal. However, that would prove to be a challenge, seeing as he was in the middle of an open bay and the wind shifted once more out of his favour. RE: no fun - Sadie - April 01, 2016 I did the dice roll out of 10 to see how much damage Sadie can do to Sica HERE! It looks like it's halfway, feel free to have Sica give Sadie a few scars and such!
Sadie's lust grew stronger and stronger, her strides growing with more and more hunger. Her heart was pounding against her ribs, her strides elongated. Her distance grew, though the tawny coyote seemed to have spotted her. The wind picked up as his scent grew stronger, his steps withdrew himself back, but he stayed still. Closer and closer she got, feeling her tongue run against her ivories. What a fine skull he will be, just soon enough. With her eyes locked onto his head, she pushed off into a quick sprint towards the coyote, her paws pushing off the wet sand as the white noise of waves crashed into her ear. RE: no fun - Sica - April 18, 2016 Sweet! Is that for overall or a roll per post? Also rolled! Got a 3 lmao sooo...she gets a small scratch? And feel free to PP the damage to Sica >:D
They seemed to notice each other at the same time for, as Sica began to back up, the larger canine's strides lengthened. His ears flattened and a small, wavering growl escaped his throat; he knew he had little chance of striking fear into the wolf. His own heart began to hammer in his chest and the coyote continued his backwards scrabble, trying to find a place he could escape to, just like the crab had moments before. He froze as waves suddenly lapped at his hind legs. Well, no more backing away. He could swim, but he was not the strongest, especially against the currents of the ocean. Especially when pursued by someone much larger and stronger. Running didn't seem to be the best of options either. Fur along his shoulders bristling, Sica instead steeled himself and turned to face the savage head on, greeting her sprint towards him with a challenging snarl. RE: no fun - Sadie - April 18, 2016 Every post sounds good to me, along with the scratch!
He noticed her dash, he was already moving back. It was against his favor though, he was met with Calpyso's growling waves. The sea witch smiled at the sight, proud that her goddess was helping her attain a treasure. Of coarse, Sadie would dedicate her meal and skull to the sea goddess. He was stuck, he knew that. His best chance was to find some kind of escape route, but it appeared he had none. He turned towards her, his dark lips curling up in a snarl, challenging Sea Salt. Her crooked smile returned as she ran in her ballistic manner to the coyote. She felt the surge in her paws as she ran, feeling every inch of her muscle extend and recede. She closed the distance between them, feeling her body surge with power. With a mighty leap, she launched herself to the coyote. It was not the neck she wanted, she wanted to play with it. It was like a little toy for her, she would use every minute she had before killing it. So, she went low to nip at its legs. It was a playful, yet dangerous manner. Her nips were stronger and seeked the vermillion blood. She grabbed ahold of one of his legs, sinking in her teeth to puncture it. She began to tug, trying to make him collapse and bring him into his belly or side. RE: no fun - Sica - April 19, 2016 His gaze sought out one last chance at an escape route, somewhere he could sprint off to before he met with the wolf. Unfortunately, the bay offered little in the way of cover, especially so close to the oceanside. And he knew outrunning her would be a futile effort — he was already malnourished and quick to tire. So, instead, the coyote would have to take the full force of the attack and hope that this wasn't his last stand. Thinking the stranger would go immediately for his throat — a swift death would be all he asked for if it came to that — Sica ducked his head protectively over his neck, only to realise too late that she was actually aiming for his legs. The larger predator's teeth sank into his forelimb, and the coyote howled in pain as skin punctured and blood quickly escaped the wound. She succeeded in uprighting the creature, as Sica squirmed and lost his footing with one leg in her jaws as she tugged. He fell onto his side but not without snapping his jaws at her face, hoping to draw her blood in retaliation. To make her know he wasn't going down without a fight. RE: no fun - Sadie - April 19, 2016 Rolled a 8 Here!
What a feisty thing! Sadie had been successful in toppling him down, he flipped and squirmed as he fell, though his throat let out a howl of pain that was pure music to Sadie's ears. The blood of a fresh plaything made her excited, she continued to tug. As he was on his side, his jaws snapped forward towards her muzzle. She tried to retract it, but she was a tad late. One of his ivories pierced her muzzle, not letting blood spill but leaving a nice pink scratch from the loss of fur. She snarled with anger at his attempt. Oh how she wanted to wrap her teeth around his pretty little neck. How she wanted to just kill him there! But no, she would lose her fun! Where was the fun in a little quick round? Extend, must extend time! Her jaws released his slim leg, but she opened her maw widely. She went to grab his muzzle within her's. Avoiding all of his sharp teeth! Small dots of Crimson dotted the muzzle as she bit down. Her intention was not to break, but apply enough pressure to make him howl in pain more. |
