I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - April 17, 2016 As the days got warmer and his siblings more inquisitive, Peter had learned to enjoy spending time outside more. He was still sensitive to the cold, but, while playing, he did not feel it that much, and while the sun was shining, he liked to sunbath very much. That was exactly, what he was doing one afternoon. Tired from running around and having had a good a magnificent lunch (his belly was full and round, making him look like a little barrel on tiny feet), he was sleeping soundly right in the front of the den, letting the sunlight caress his body gently. His feet twitched now and then, him having dreams of running and chasing. And then, suddenly with his eyes still closed, his lips curled in a smile and his tail began to tap against the ground. Something good was definitely going on in the dream wonderland. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - RIP Fox - May 03, 2016 *runs in to save old thread*
Having dismissed the wolf from Sebastian's pack and determining that the antlers were fit for playthings, Fox pranced back to her children with it held tightly in her muzzle. The antler was a bit hard to keep off the ground, especially considering Fox's smaller stature, but she made do, and soon she was back at the densite, laying eyes on her smallest son: Peter. Gently, Fox set the antler down and tip-toed over to the obviously-sleeping little fluff. With the sun high overhead, she cast a shadow over him before reaching down and touching his cheek lightly with her nose. Maybe he would like the antler Sebastian had sent. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - May 04, 2016 ooc: thank you! And - yay - mommy time! Just, when Peter was about to catch the prey (in this case it was a cross between a running bush and Ferret), he felt someone touching him and his eyes fluttered open, blinking in surprise. Without lifting his head, he turned his eyes to see his mother's familiar, lovely face and a smile spread accross his features and the tail began to tap against the ground happily. Still on the ground, he sighed, arched his back and stretched his feet, then rolled on his belly to regard Fox with another cheerful look. "Wruff!" he barked at her, having not yet noticed the toy she had brought with her. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - RIP Fox - May 08, 2016 Fox had expected him to be startled, but Peter surprised her by being totally chill about the whole thing. In fact, he stretched, rolled over, and seemed completely content. He wasn't cranky, which Fox had sort of expected. Maybe she was thinking of one of the other brothers. It wasn't like she had the best memory for these kinds of things (or anything, for that matter). "I gotcha something!" she beamed, then turned to pick up the antler and dropped it in front of him. She'd already gnawed on one side of it, but the other was nice and fresh. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - May 11, 2016 "O-ho!" Peter exclaimed and got to his feet to examine the thing his mother had laid before him. It was unlike other bones he had seen and the smell was novel too. With his button nose almost glued to the antler, he sniffed the full length of it, until he stopped by the end his mother had already gnawed on and plopped down on his butt. Then he looked up at Fox again and smiled, asking without words - what now? RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - RIP Fox - May 30, 2016 Fox grinned at Peter's exclamation, her own tail wagging with delight. She watched as he sniffed it from one end to the other, then he seemed to run out of ideas and sat down next to it. "Here," she said, taking the opposite end in her mouth and biting down. The antler was an excellent stress-relieving tool, and it kept boredom at bay. It didn't exactly have a lot of nutritional value, but it would give the children something to pass the time. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - May 30, 2016 Peter was an obedient student - he carefully observed, what his mother was doing with the odd bone, and after a little while scooted closer to the antler, lied down on his belly and attempted to gnaw on one end. His teeth were small and not very effective in the task of destroying the bone, but he still found the activity quite exciting. For exactly five minutes. Fox might have found chewing interesting and Peter would do in few weeks time, but now he thought that it was a good time to approach his mom and hug her muzzle. Maybe that would earn him a cuddle in return. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - RIP Fox - June 08, 2016 *savors this precious time with Peter* :')
Out of all of her children, Peter was certainly the most affectionate and the most obedient. It was as if he and Ferret had come from two entirely different places, and Fox wondered what on earth she had done differently to get both ends of the spectrum. At least Whip and Gannet seemed to be somewhere in the middle of it all. She watched with a bemused smile as Peter chewed on the antler, but as most pups his age, he quickly grew bored of the activity and moved on to something else. He wriggled his way over to her and hugged her muzzle, which had exactly the desired effect. She nuzzled him gently, then began to caress the top of his head with her tongue, making the hair on his head stick up in all directions. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - June 11, 2016 Most kids did not like when their mothers tried to get their untidy youths decent again, but not Peter. He was practically gloating and that smug smile did not disappear, when some of the licks that were aimed for the top of his head landed on his face now and then. He had got attention and that mattered the most. "Urrr....rrrr...rr...rrr..." he purred (in a dog-like manner for the lack of better description) and was looking at his mother from half-closed eyes with lot of love and affection. She was amazing. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - RIP Fox - June 22, 2016 Fox continued to groom her smallest son, a sense of contentment and happiness washing over her. This was what she loved the most: being with her family and just chillaxing. Funny to think that when she first came to the Teekon Wilds, her whole purpose had been to piss on other wolves' territories and fight them. Ah, reckless youth. She hoped that, wherever Nightjar, Wildfire, and Raven were, they were out doing similarly reckless things now rather than later. For some reason, that made perfectly good sense in Fox's mind. Satisfied with his groomed status, Fox laid her head beside Peter, bumping him affectionately and letting her own eyelids droop. Before long, she'd be snoring up a storm. RE: I am exactly the person I want to be - Peter - June 24, 2016 By the time Fox had finished her grooming session, Peter had fallen asleep and was wandering in the dream world. Well-fed, clean, very much loved, happy and content - what was more that a little cub could ask for? He sighed and leaned against his mom, resting his muzzle and putting his forepaws on her snout, preparing for a long nap. |
