Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - April 19, 2016 Anyone welcome to come and say hi!
After her permission to enter the land, the sea witch didn't waste any time getting the new scent on. Rubbing against tree bark, the soft grass and dirt, she would soon smell as one of them. After being successful in rolling around, Sadie began to explore the land. Finding a den could happen later, for now what mattered was to get herself used to the place. It was hard to walk on. Solid ground rather than damp sand, she missed hearing the waves crash in her ears. She could adjust no doubt though. With that set in mind, Sadie continued her path around the land and would hopefully stumble upon her new crew members. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - April 19, 2016 Zephyr was out patrolling once again, holding his massive frame tall as usual. Was that a new scent? The ebony giant parted his jaws, scenting. Yes, it was a new female. Grinning and tail wagging, he trotted towards the female with his friendly green eyes shining. "Hello. Are you new?" He wanted to play, get to know her, what she was providing the pack. Was she a warrior, like him? Perhaps a healer, or hunter? RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - April 19, 2016 It did not take long for her path to cross with another, a large wolf had came towards her. His eyes were like emeralds, they gleamed with kindness and warmth. Sadie was quick to gave a crooked grin and cackle a bit. Ye be right lad! I be a new recruit to the crew, cap'n Sen! She replied to him, her tone filled with excitement. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Rain Willow - April 19, 2016 A stray butterfly skipped over head within the bushes, Rain followed it eagerly, pawing at it and pouncing. When it flew over head away from sight, she followed eagerly, but was met with two wolves in the distance, Zephyr, her new adoptive father was standing, talking to a rusty coloured she-wolf, her tone seemed happy enough, but with a odd accent. Nevertheless she continued onwards and bounded up to meet the two. 'Hello, I'm Rain, who are you? Are you new? Wanna be friends?' She bombarded the poor lass with questions, barely giving her time to answer. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - April 20, 2016 Zephyr was a bit taken back by the heavy accent, but his grin doubled. He opened his jaws to speak but his adopted daughter came trotting towards them. He pulled her close in both protection and affection, nuzzling her soft wolfdog fur. He mumbled into her ear softly, kindly, "One question at a time dear." Raising his voice, he added to Sadie, "I'm Zephyr, nice to meet you." RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - April 20, 2016 Before the black wolf could speak any further, what seemed to be a wolfdog came bounding forward, her fur pattern envied by Sadie. She asked questions, bombarding Sadie with so many that her smile faltered a bit with annoyance. This was no sprog, it was teen! Why was she so excited and happy? Saide overlooked her before bringing back her charming yet crooked smile. Ye that excited to see a new face lass? She asked, curious about the wolfdog. The man, named Zephyr, calmed her down. He looked like the father, though genetics must've made them fortune's fools. She decided to answer the excited one, Rain's, questions. Nice to meet ye two mateys. To answer ye question, Oi be a new recruit by cap'n Sen. To Sadie, being friends was a foreign term. She had acquaintances, but not any good friends. With her torn up family and past, it was hard for her o actually consider any wolf like that. They all back stabbed her, they all lies, they all turned on her. But these nice folks looked different. Perhaps Rain would be her first friend. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Rain Willow - April 20, 2016 Receiving the cuddle, Rain nuzzled into Zephyrs ebony fur lovingly, taking his advice she decided to be calmer and tad bit more polite. Embarrassed slightly from her babble, She blushed and smiled at the new wolf. 'Oops, sorry. I didn't mean to ramble. ' Rain submissively approached the rusty female, getting her scent and licking her nose curiously. Stepping back, she coughed slightly. 'You taste salty.' The odd one then smiled at her, showing that it wasn't an insult. Upon realising she was the newest member, the idea of a new friend excited her. 'What's your name?' RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - April 20, 2016 Zephyr noticed the falter, feeling his muscles tense in case Rain found trouble. Much as it would kill him to be aggressive to not just female but packmate, he would put his life on the line for the teenager standing before him. His eyes grew sharp in warning, but when Sadie seemed to relax so did Zephyr even if he kept a close grassy eye on her. He smiled, glad the wolfdog had taken his advice, and listened to the two talk as he surveyed the area around them. He stood on his tiptoes- towering over both females, and turned his head in all directions before settling into a sit and watching his adopted daughter. Not only was he highly protective over the fact she ws both young and female, and she meant a great deal to him, her MOTHER would likely have his pelt if he let anything happen to her baby. "Hope you like it here, it's rather peaceful." RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - April 24, 2016 Why, these two must be family! Though they looked nothing alike to the pirate, the darker male's eyes seemed to flash at her in warning when her smile faltered. A proud father? Where was the mother? Too many thoughts Sadie! One at a time! The smaller one, Rain, apologized with a smile before giving Sadie's nose a curious lick. Her crooked smile never faded, Rain didn't seem to like the taste of salt. That's why no predator ever wanted to eat Sadie, she tasted like she was tossed and rolled in nothing but salt. She was first asked her name, the wench settled down too. "Sadie" she replied cheeky, looking around her new home. "The ship be a wonderful thing lad" she started off, feeling the dirt beneath her paws "though, I'm more used to being on sand." At the mention of sand, Sadie remembered the alpha Sen asking her to teach others how to hunt upon the beach. Sadie perked up a bit before turning to the others. "I jus' remebered somethin'. Are ye the ones who needed to be taught how to hunt for sea food?" She asked, curious about their answer. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Rain Willow - April 26, 2016 Upon the mention of seafood, Rain's ears perked up in excitement. Although not very good, Rain loved to fish, the water in her face and the rush around her, despite only being able to catch a minnow once in awhile. 'I love fishing!' Rain exclaimed, tail batting back and forth, hitting Zephyrs rib cage. 'Fish is my favourite, So we're gonna get taught how to do it? That's sound fun.' Eyes large in glee, the idea of getting fish often thrilled her. But all this excitement had started to catch up on her, and she decided to rest atop of Zephyrs furry belly, nuzzling in. Yawning, Rain leant her head for a few moments, but her eyes started to droop and flutter before she could suppress the temptation to nap. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - April 26, 2016 Zephyr smiled and hugged rain close to him as he spoke, grassy eyes more than a little wistful. He would forever miss the strength of the mountains beneath his paws. "I'm prefer stone, though I've probably walked on most terrains." She asked if they were the ones who needed teaching, but the massive ebony male just chuckled. "I already know how to fish, but thank you." RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - April 27, 2016 These seadogs didn't seem to understand what the sea witch was getting at. The sea was not just full of fish! There were many trinkets near the sea that she wanted to show others and give them a real taste of sea life (H20 decided to not make Sadie a selfish bitch for the moment). She cackled heartily at the two before shaking her head. "Aye, I teach ye to fish, but not just that!" She replied cheekily, her grin still crooked yet charming. She looked the two over, soon settling down on her haunches. Hopefully she caught Zephyr's attention. "The sea be full of life, not just scale fish! There be animals that crawl called crabs, giant birds, mussels; 'coarse they be in the tide pools" she said excitedly, almost wanting to take them to the tide pools now. Truly it was a beautiful place, many creatures lived in it. Hopefully these two wolves were quick on their feet, catching some tide pool animals wasn't exactly easy. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - April 28, 2016 Zephyr had little interest, but was sure Rain would and so went along with it. Perhaps he would like it, even if he wasn't sure what use these skills would be. He planned on settling on a mountain somewhere, but to hell with it. His step daughter had a habit of making everything fun, so for sure this would be interesting. "If Rain is up for it, then sure. I don't see why not." His grassy eyes wandered, taking in the landscape around them and making sure the three were safe. It was the top priority in his mind, keeping those he cared for safe. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - May 06, 2016 Sorry for the late reply, I was waiting for Rain Willow, but it seems she's gone inactive!
He agreed, though he did it only for his daughter. Sadie could only cackle at him, what kind of father he was. Sadie didn't even remeber nor want to remember her parents. Her mother was raped and her father was shark bait. He died before she was born. Her mother raised her for only a few months before abandoning her. Sadie's claws sunk into the dirt in remembrance, but quickly changed her demeanor. She looked at the black male with honey eyes and her charmingly crooked smile. "Well, ye must have ye mind set with ye sprog, huh?" she questioned lightly, her tail wagging. It was somewhat nice to see a loving father, but yet it made Sadie sick to the stomach. Lovey dovey stuff was unsettling to her salty personality and freezing ice heart that swam with sharks. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - May 07, 2016 Yeah she hasn't rejoined yet.... Hoping she does, since Zephyr and Lyric kind of have a thing going on o.O
Sadie was one of the things his grassy were drawn to, noticing her brief annoyance. Had he caused that, or some other unseen force? She resovled it herself, it seemed, and though he would keep a closer watch on Rain he decided to let it go. The ebony male could sense her discomfort, and she didn't seem all too happy that he was only going along for Rain. Zephyr shrugged, still not very interested. "She tends to make things fun, and I promised her and her mother I'd watch over her. I could think of a lot of reasons to follow her." RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - May 07, 2016 Go get 'er Zep! Wrangle that Lyric in!
She made things fun for him? This dark man didn't seem one to have fun with, especially to Sadie. Sadie's fun meant chasing off coyotes, chasing birds, killing stuff, just about anything violent. Even fights were fun because they kicked her with adrenaline. However, Sen had told Sadie about the pack. No fighting skills were needed, they were useless. Sadie gave off a chuff, signalling it as a hmm sound. "Ye must be a good father" she complimented him, being sincere. "Me father was never kind to me, hell oi didn't even see the bait of man, cap'n kill'd 'em off befor' I coulda seen 'em." she said, looking at the tank of a man. He was probably the kind of dad who would do anything to make his daughter happy. Again, sickening, but yet very sweet. "Ye little one isa sweet heart, keep 'er that way" she said, laughing instead of cackling. It was truly a new moment for Sadie to act this way, she was normally an unruly pirate with a lust for blood. But somtimes (because of H20), she could have a soft spot. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - May 07, 2016 Zephyr smiled at the pirate woman, taking the compliment happily. They might not be the type of wolves to be best friends for life or anything, but he had to admit she seemed to be warming up to him. With a grin, he shrugged and replied. "Im not even her real father, honestly. I met her and her mother when I got here, but they've both become dear to my heart and I would do anything for them. I told her I WOULD be her father." In his eyes, that was better. She had a father now who CHOSE to be her father, not someone who was just one by blood. Sadie was right, Rain was a little sweetheart. He'd already promised himself to make sure she kept her innocence as long as possible, to not let the world make her bitter. Zephyr himself was a prime subject. He played like a puppy, even while he ruled as an alpha. Hell, he still did! Life should be fun. RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - May 07, 2016 This man wasn't her father?! Well, Sadie did sort of expect that. The two looked nothing alike anyways. However, his talk about Rain and her mother made Sadie curious. He had met them when he joined, then decided to become the father, or at least offered to watch over Rain. "Dear to ye heart?" she questioned, almost softly. Sadie never had anything dear except the blood that kept her going. She gave off another chuff. "Well aren't you a damn saint" she said, laughing. This man was probably the nicests she's seen. Taking two wolves close to him that aren't related, she would've just thrown them out! RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - May 14, 2016 Sadie didn't seem to understand how he'd taken the wolfdog in, and he wasn't surprised: most other males would kill or drive away clinging offspring for a mate. Especially one as hyperactive and rash as the young merle girl. Zephyr couldn't tell if she was amused or scornful, but didn't bother to push it. "I try to be, I know. I like to say that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and then they can feel my fangs. Y'know, I like giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, give them a chance to be a good person." RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Sadie - May 16, 2016 Innocent until proven guilty. What a strange type of judgement. In all honesty, the sea witch would either scare them off or just grab them and kill them with one shot. She nodded her head to show she was following what he was saying, and then perked her ears to hear his last bits of words. Feel his fangs... Sadie looked over the tank of a wolf. He looked like he could easily take on a wolf and crush a skull, but she wondered about him. Would he really do such a thing? Nah, he looked to nice anyways. That brought up a question to her though, why did he want to prove there was good in everyone? Sure, everyone can be good. But why prove it? Some don't deserve to be treated well, some deserve death over mercy. Bring the good 'en othr's? Ye sound like one of 'dose- she paused, having to think of the correct word. One'a those cap'ns who got a good heart. Consider yeself lucky mate, cause this lass doesn't have one! Her hearty laugh filled her chest, a few tears almost falling from her eyes in laughter. Fade soon?
RE: Addressing what is mine is not new - Zephyr Maverick - May 17, 2016 The witch obviously wasn't fond of his way of thinking, but it mattered little to the Gamma. He was just glad to have a new friend, or as close as a friend as Sadie was willing. Her thoughts were slightly true, in the part where he could crush a skull and defend with ease. Her assumption that he was too nice to fight, however, was very far from the truth. The ebony wolf had no reason to be dominant, to be anything other than nice right now, but he has a good deal of blood on his paws. Some he regrets, but most he knows fell at his wrath for good reason, for it was what they deserved. Sadie commented that she had no heart, and implied his was TOO big. Her laughter, contagious, set Zephyr off to loose a string of howling laughter himself. "Believe you me, I might have a good heart but I'm no innocent. I've done my fair share of shitty things, just like I'm sure you've done at LEAST one good thing in your life. Nobody is as heartless as they make themselves out to be." Still chuckling, he nudged against her gently and gave her a charming grin. Perhaps the sea witch was growing on him? Feel free to post again or archive :3
