OOC: Outside the borders.
Despite how long it had been since she walked the familiar flatlands, it was not too long of a time for her to forget the way to the Plateau. Overtime, she had noticed the absence of an elated individual in her life. His sunny disposition missed and strange mannerisms desired if only to bring a genuine smile to her face. He was perhaps the only male friend she had made in the wilds that impacted her so profoundly… even without him knowing. And it did not sit well that she hadn’t seen him for so long. Regardless of her tasks in the Vale, it was no excuse for her negligence to their friendship.
She had set out quite early in the hopes of reaching the Plateau in the afternoon. Along the way, she captured a small morsel as an offering, as was now her ritual when seeking a positive encounter with those known. And even unknown, if the fates permitted.
The scent of the woodlands was as stark as she remembered. The trees still looming with soundless diligence to cast upon the traveling soul their ominous shadows. It was with a subtle bound to her step that she approached the border with small badger in maw. Settling beside a cluster of rocks, she placed the offering at her feet then raised her head in summons for a wolf to greet her.

RE: Check Ups are Free - Luxuria - March 16, 2014
Luxuria had been in the process of filling a cache with two scrappy looking rabbits she had found and took down, her jaws releasing their scruffs into the hole adding her two to the count of what - likely - Peregrine had already stocked when a howl sounded from the borders. It had not been a summons for anyone in particular and so the Spartan shoveled the dirt back over the cache and packed it down with her paws swiftly. Once it was covered enough to keep scavengers out of it, she turned and briskly walked towards where the call had originated from. Lux had the general assumption in her head that it was a loner looking for a place to call home - just as she had been a few weeks ago, herself. She spent most of her time at the borders, but she was trying to earn herself the warden co-rank and to do that she had to demonstrate that she was capable of protecting the borders and greeting wolves at them. As Lux shrugged from betwixt the towering trees, pushing past the wild tangle of brush that snagged at the fur of her underbelly, her honey golden eyes fell upon the fire kissed creature that awaited her.
Black, leathery nostrils flared to drink in the scent, determining that the fire kissed canine was, indeed, a female, but not, interestingly enough, a loner. The pack scent that clung to her fur struck some familiarity in Lux as she inhaled deeper. She had scented it before, once, on the female that had approached Ame - a lone female that Lux had met in the land of the cherry blossoms. Lux assumed that meant the fire kissed female was a long ways from home. Honey golden eyes fell upon the small badger the female held in the grasp of her jaws. A …peace offering, perhaps?
“Greetings,” Lux spoke, her posture dominate only because she was the only pack wolf here and the Spartan had no intentions of letting her guard down. “May I assist you?” Lux inquired politely, but hindering on slight suspicion, though she remained unknowing of the altercation that had once transpired between Hawkeye and the fire kissed female before her.

The female did her best to remain calm as she waited, taking deep breaths of the wooded air until a sense of ease inevitably became her. The complications of her last grace upon the borders was near forgotten, though the impression of those she had met still remained. No more than fleeting thoughts upon the mind, better addressed then forgotten as easily and distantly as they surfaced.
What did hold her attention was the approach, an ambiguous form clad in the familiar folds of the lupine fur. The grip of winter still kept the greeter’s coat full though its thickness might have suggested there was more beneath the pelt than more rolls of fur. A large build perhaps? But rather than dwell impolitely, she dismissed further thought, choosing instead to smile slightly and dip her muzzle in proper greeting.
“Hello,” she extended softly as she remained comfortably seated. She allowed her shoulders to draw back in open posture, indicative of her benign nature toward the wolf and her borders. “I am Xi’nuata of the Northstar Vale. I have traveled a ways to visit a friend of the Plateau,” she expressed with the warmth of pride swelling in her breast. “Is the white wolf Ariston available?”
