your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Snarl - April 20, 2016 Running-running-tree-Pack-scent-scent-den-rock-scent-where-scent-there-scent-smell-it-not-wolf-scent-Packscent-no-no-no-Alphascent-Alpha-where-Alpha?-quick-howl-hello-howl-hello-Alpha-he-she-no-he-Alpha-hello Snarl was loping down the rock-hill at considerable speed, but it seemed to go on forever. He decided to rename it the not-hill, and began to slowly meander down the slope and into the tree-Pack that was slowly taking over the ground. The Omega-trees cowered away as he brushed past them, but he yelped and ran once when he accidentally flicked his tail onto an Alpha-tree. That was closer than he liked to get. The leaves were nice, though - cool and soft like den-rock. But then a scent caught his nostrils and suddenly he didn`t care about the tree-Pack anymore. An Alpha? A he-Alpha, too! Snarl threw back his head and howled in childish glee and greeting, unaware of how far into the territory he was. He would have an Alpha again! A master, a teller, a commander! He howled these things, and a million more that wolfspeak could never say. @Warbone :3
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Nova Rose - April 20, 2016 Nova Rose was out padding along on her own sort of patrol when Snarl came galloping towards her. She perked her ears and trotted towards him, tail and head raised in dominance and pride. She might not be the alpha but he was a stranger, and she had promised to serve Warbone how she could. If that meant getting into a scuffle, so be it. She just had to make things quick, before her aging body gave out in the fight. Soon, being in shape wouldn't be good enough to hold together an old body, but for now she would suffice. She could also try and make Warbone's job easier, asking the questions and hearing the answers, and able to give him all the facts as soon as he got here.... Assuming he didnt show before she was done. "You there, what is your purpose?" Her warm ghostly eyes were neutral, but curious. Her ginger and cream fur didn't raise, but if he got any closer he would be strongly urged otherwise. RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Snarl - April 20, 2016 not-an-alpha-a-she-wolf-old-old-she-wolf-not-nice-she-wolf-or-nice-she-wolf-"you"-"purpose?"-what?-how?-howl-or-growl-howl-or-growl-yip-yip-yip-yap-quick-bow-crouch-down-quick The she-wolf before him was old. Age had set in, and age meant survival. Age meant respect. But would she attack? Probably not. She was 7 years old, maybe. Maybe even more! Snarl listened intently to the wolfspeak, almost reverent - and indeed he was hanging on to every exotic new word. The traveller, the Spirit, she had taught him the basics of wolfspeak through the bodyspeak they both knew naturally. He recognised "you" and "purpose" as words he knew. One meant whoever you were speaking to - that was him! - and purpose was why you did something. That word was stupid, though - you never chose to do something, did you? You just did it. But perhaps there was a reason for coming here, instead of other terrtories, other Packs? He yipped and yapped like a puppy in excitement, the joy of knowledge coursing through his brain for the first time. Snarl knew what he had to do. Very slowly, and deliberately, he sat down. Waited. Crouched. Waited. Stretched. Waited. Rolled. Until he lay belly-up in front of the Respect. He had no way of knowing that submission in the Teekon Wilds wasn`t quite so extreme, but for Snarl this was a big pawstep nonetheless. He decided he liked the Respect, as long as she didn`t hurt him. But why would she? He was...what was the word? SUBMIT! The word rose from his mind unbidden - his instincts were back. Despite himself, Snarl sighed at the loss of control. What was happening to him? Why did he suddenly like being in control? @"Nova Rose" ? Idek xD Sorry \_{°]_/
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Nova Rose - April 21, 2016 Nova, right off the bat, felt like she was glad to be the one to happen across the male. Right away it was clear he wasn't normal in the sense of the Teekons, but lucky for him hed been stopped by the counselor. Shed come across wolves before that just didnt, couldn't, speak the way she did. It was the main reason she DID use her body language. It was universal. His submission was, more or less, right away. Shed watched the wheels turning in his head, seen it in his eyes as he translated her own words and body posture. She nodded, signaling that hrd done the correct thing. She crept closer, sniffed at him, but took another step back to sit on her haunches. When shed again caught his eyes, she motioned to the land behind here and said one word. "Join?" She needed to be sure this was what he wanted, for if not he would need to be sent away. Much as she could both learn and teach this male, Warbone wouldn't allow him into the territory unless he was part of the pack. And that required a few questions..... Warbone will jump in when he's on, just figured this would be good for Nova whether you are accepted or not :3 plus it's nice to keep a thread going!
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Snarl - April 21, 2016 the-Respect-yes-how-me-what-stay-away-go-away-go-AWAY! (Thoughts become fluid) The Respect approved. She was sat almost carelessly, not even alert, never mind ready to run. How did she do that? He would try, too. So Snarl wrestled with the beast inside him, still wondering why. He shoved it deep down inside, unlike anything he`d ever done before. He gasped. The world was clearer. Sharper. The strangely wonderful scent of the tree-Pack set his nose a-twitching, and he had to adjust to having complete control, to being manual instead of automatic instincts all the time. He rose, and sat abruptly, puzzled by the sight of his tail wagging. It seemed that when some things were gone, others came. He had never had a thought with such depth. It was terrible. But Snarl loved it. And when the Respect spoke in simple wolfspeak, he could have howled for joy. She knew, she knew him better than he knew himself. Join, join, the perfect and single word. Join the Pack. Join survival. Join the Respect. And then, yet again, Snarl did something unthought of, irrelevant to his instinctive self - he tried to speak. Sure, the sound he made was more like the chuff of an elderly he-wolf mixed with a pup`s strangled yap, but it was there. "Choip! Choip!" he attempted, signaling furiously with his apparently movable tail towards the fresh green behind the Respect`s patient guard. Nodding emphatically, he wondered what was happening to his instincts. Hurray for Nova`s counselness! Haha. Funny how one of about three wolves ingame who wont`t immediately think wtf and attack Snarl is right here. :D By the end of this thread, we`ll have a regular Bruce Banner x3
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Nova Rose - April 21, 2016 The exact reason I threw Nova in here, other than her being lonely xD Figured she could be his speech, assuming she knows what he wants. Nova watched him fight with himself, but let him do so. She knew she couldn't just ask what was wrong, it would just hurt him more. So she let him struggle, and got obvious results. The ginger elder smiled when he seemed to clear up a bit, but didn't understand why. She didn't know his inner issues, and again just couldnt ask, but instead went with the task at paw. She figured he was how he acted: a warrior, maybe, or a hunter. There was no way to ask though other than words. But what words..... After a short lapse in her friendliness, in which she looked at her paws and tried hard to work at the words, before going back to her motherly and happy self. "Serve?" That was a start, but she needed to know HOW, not just if he WOULD serve the pack. "How? Skills?" Hopefully that would help, clarify. If not.... Well, to hell with it. She'd think of something ELSE to ask. One way or another, she would get the information she needed. Oh my goodness, I didnt even realize they were in the frikkin territory until Warbone's post ! I thought he was AT the borders T_T Thats actually my bad. Im so, so sorry!
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Warbone - April 22, 2016 Hi, Lilypop! I really adore Snarl and the way you play him -- I would love to have you! -- but unfortunately he's trespassing, and WB simply won't accept a wolf who has no respect (or understanding) of boundaries. He made an exception before forming the pack, but he will not now. Snarl's options are run or fight at this point, as submission will not help him here D: *whispers* he would fit in PR
Hugging the borders, Warbone was surprised and infuriated to find that a wolf had recently crossed the clear line of his threshold. The fur across the ridge of his back lifted violently, and he began to charge down the hill and into The Keep, jaws crying for blood. The intruder's yowling only made him easier to locate, bidding that the bloodthirsty alpha no longer needed his nose to find the cretin foolish enough to enter his realm unwelcomed. Imagine his surprise when he saw one of his own wolves there, politely chatting with the prone and bony yearling as if he were one of their own. But knowing that presently he was the only one who induced newcomers, and that this male was an utter stranger, he descended upon him with the might of a wolf who had earned his title; and Warbone presented the trespasser with no mercy as he barrelled for him, mouth wide and snarl echoing. And then he was running, fluid, free, tearing up the ground and crying out for the Respect with desperate whimpers. He tripped, once, and the taste of blood filled his mouth and coted his teeth, tears and sweat and blood in the terrible salty compound associated with war. But the blood was his own, pouring from his forhead, and now he couldn`t see and it burned, and gravity led him down the ridge faster and faster... And he tried, but he couldn`t stop, and he ploughed into something, woozily wondering if it was a tree or a rock. No matter. He was moving through sludge, a mire, a bog filled with howling wolves... And suddenly the darkness of clotting blood became the darkness of sleep. He stopped around 200 metre on the othe side of the border. A little close for comfort, but he`s knocked out, y`know? :3 Feel free to take him prisoner or rough him up a bit or whatever, as long as he no ded zD
RE: your heart knows things your mind can`t explain - Nova Rose - April 24, 2016 It was not until Warbone came charging through the undergrowth that Nova realized just how far they were into the territory. The golden and cream female flattened her ears, her anger towards herself quite clear in her ghostly eyes. She'd tried to do something RIGHT, to help Warbone strengthen his ranks, and here he was being chased away. She understood his territorial dominance and his reaction, but couldnt help but hurl pissed off thoughts at him in her mind. Why in the hell would he chase off someone so interesting, so promising? And RIGHT in the middle of a conversation.... What if he'd been here in important business? With a sigh, the elder trotted off deeper into the territory to sulk on her own. She'd fucked up and was pissed about it, but didn't think to follow the male and male sure he was okay. Out of her borders, and no longer her problem. She'd liked the little fellow though.... Hopefully he'd end up somewhere safe and happy. |
