20:15 - Terich-mir - May 09, 2016 set at the lake, all welcome.
He left Vuk and Seff to rest that early morning and went in search of food. Reek had been kind enough to bring whatever morsels he could find, and like any gentleman, Terich had given them over to the mother. He did not have milk to produce for their offspring, so he could stand the famine a little longer. Besides, Reek had told him of a lake in the territory, and he set off to find it. The morning mist rolled through the grotto, blanketing the sparse trees in its mist. He could almost imagine the trees had leaves still, and that the quiet was simply because the birds still slept. But as the sun rose and the mist fled, revealing the barren land he trekked through, Terich's hope withered with it. Finally he came to the lakeside and eyed the surface, wondering what kinds of fish lurked beneath. Without pause, he stepped into the waters and stilled, searching the waters for any sign of tail or fin. 20:15 — Olafur Arnalds
RE: 20:15 - Novalia - May 10, 2016 Novalia and Charley are barging in, if that ok!
They arrived at the lake shortly, Novalia trailing silently after Charley. She had grown used to the sight of brown over the last few days and a spark of hoped flared briefly in her chest, thinking that surely there was some green around the waters edge. The cold of reality quickly extinguished that spark however, as she came to a stop. Not far from them lay the lake, it's shimmering waters deceptively beautiful, for there was no green to be found. Only more brown. For a moment, Novalias heart sank in her chest, longing for home. Remember she wasnt alone though, the female kept her face neutral and instead turned to her guide. "There is someone by the water. Perhaps we can start with him?" It looked like the wolf in the distance wwas standing in the water and Novalia frowned. Whatever could he be doing? RE: 20:15 - Alder - May 10, 2016 Charley showed the white female to the lake Aspen had shown him, thinking of the silvery girl fondly. He wondered where she was right now, but his current occupation brought his thoughts back to Nova. Before answering her, he followed her gaze to Terich-mir and tried to remember if he knew him. The scent, yes, but he couldn't remember ever actually meeting him. Must be a newer recruit. "Sure, lets go." The multicolored male headed towards him with a neutral expression, but his body was held in dominance. His tail waved in the air, and his head was held higher even as his carribean eyes swept the area around them for danger of any sort. RE: 20:15 - Terich-mir - May 23, 2016 Thank you for joining!
Terich stood mired in the lake's sandy bed, feeling his toes sinking into the muck. He dared not move, however, fearing that if he did so, the few fish he'd spotted would dart away from him. He was just about to lunge toward an unsuspecting specimen when something caught his attention. Through the corner of his eye, Terich saw a pair of wolves heading his way, one of them rather bristly, holding himself quite defensively. Terich turned to watch them come, and wondered at the male's dominant stance. Terich was part of this pack, and therefore allowed to fish in this lake. Why did he always have issues with dominant males wherever he went? Though he saw them, Terich did not move from his perch in the water. He was determined to find food for Vuk. So he turned his attention back toward the lake, and after a long moment, dove headlong into the water. He came up soaking wet but with a prize in his mouth - a small fish that would be perfect for Vuk. Terich climbed ashore and placed the fish by his feet, watching the others as they neared. Who were they? What did they want? He stood with head bowed and ears relaxed, hoping his slim stature would put their minds at ease. RE: 20:15 - Novalia - May 23, 2016 Novalia had to smile at the change in Charleys posture when he realized he couldn't identify the other wolf. She followed him over to meet the stranger, watching as the unknown wolf lunged into the water and pulled something out. It was silvery and odd looking and Novalia recognized it as a fish, of all things. She had seen them jumping from the water on occasion but had never given them much thought. Surely he wasn't going to eat it?! But a growl from her stomach quickly dissolved her disgust into curiosity as she wondered what a fish would taste like. Was it meat? As the pair approached Terich-Mir, Novalia focused on the male. He was thin, as was everyone, and she could pick up the faint scent of babe from where she stood. Perhaps the youngling was back at the dens with it's mother, for she could see no one else around. Out of respect for Charley, the fea remained silent so he could make his introduction but maintained her neutral expression. RE: 20:15 - Alder - June 03, 2016 Charley trotted along with the new white female, snifing around for no particular reason. He wasn't persay trying to show dominance, it was simply who he was and what he did: he walked in natural dominance. It was in his luck, this time, that he was actually the higher ranked wolf here. He watched curiously as the other male dove into the water, vaguely surprised when he came up with a prize. His easy posture did make the brute realize he might be a little.... overbearing. Not that it changed the way he held himself, but he also didn't push his rank. When Novalia didn't speak, he assumed it was being left to him. However, he didn't know this male, only that he smelled of a pup and Reek. "I'm Charley Pryor, and this is Novalia. Are you new?" |
