Divided We Fall - Judas - May 15, 2016 @Issun @Mitanni @Silver @Buffalo @Crius @Rhiannon I'll give it about four days for everyone to reply
Judas felt it necessary as he sent out a howl from the center territory for the pack. He may not have been alpha, but they all needed to hear about this. He and Mitanni had found Malice, but she was with another pack. The only thing left was to select a new alpha, and he only knew three other members of the pack. He called them to the central area. Whether they attended or not was their problem, not his. RE: Divided We Fall - RIP Issun - May 15, 2016 Issun stood as a familiar sound rang through the air. Judas' howl, but for what reason. The yearling didn't waste time running towards it. The boy had noticed that Malice was not in her usual spot, which worried him greatly. With the overprotective wolf he was, he felt it was his duty to care for Malice in her time of need. If any harm was to come to their alpha, he would feel incredibly guilty. She said she had gone hunting, which he still believed was true. Never would he think that their own alpha, the wolf he trusted over everyone, the wolf he could call a friend, would betray them. RE: Divided We Fall - Mitanni - May 15, 2016 Mitanni couldn't believe that Malice had left. After everything she'd done to keep Moonlit Hills going, she'd abandoned it--abandoned them--in the most cowardly way, unable to face the wolves that she'd brought together to give them all the facts of her departure. The little wolf wasn't even sure the excuses she'd been given were true as they'd come from another Dark Brotherhood wolf and not her ex-leader, but what else was she to believe? She moved dismally, head and tail hanging, ears tucked, amber gaze downcast. The bitterness she'd felt on the trip back had dimmed and given way to melancholy, leaving Mitanni questioning what would become of them and what she would do. A part of her wanted nothing more than to go back to her den and curl up, pretend it hadn't happened, pretend that life was still normal. It was preferable than letting her thoughts go on in cirlces as they were. Before she could get far, however, Judas howled, beckoning the pack in much the way that Malice once had...before she'd abandoned them. The little brown wolf sighed. She ought to go. She'd been there with Judas when they learned of Malice's fate, if he needed backup then she was the closest thing to it. Mitanni turned, backtracked, and joined Judas and Issun in the pack's meeting place, purposefully not looking toward the log on which their leader always perched. She didn't want to think about it. RE: Divided We Fall - Rhiannon - May 15, 2016 The bi-eyed female had been pacing around wondering what the pack was supposed to do about the locust issue. Their Alphess had not addressed what needed to be done before just up and leaving. And with no leader the pack wouldn't last long and she had become quite find of her new home. Suddenly the call of an unknown wolf brought the she-wolf out of her pacing causing her to tilt her head in confusion. The howl hadnt come from Malice or anyone else she knew, but it sounded urgent which meant someone may know something that requires the whole pack to be there. Lifting her head Rhiannon returned the call as she made her way in the direction that the howl had come from. Being the second to arrive made her weary, so far just Issun had arrived so where was everyone else? Had the others just decided to leave the pack as well? Approaching the male she nodded coming to a stop a few paces away from the male she met at the last pack meeting she attended,"You called?" She said with slight confusion before moving to sit beside Issun, nodding her head at him,"Hello there Issun." The scent of another female caused her to turn her head to her right and sigh in relief. So her new pack had not disbanded which brought Rhiannon relief, though what of their leader Malice? She was still no where to be seen. RE: Divided We Fall - Silver - May 15, 2016 Silver was quick to arrive, hearing the howl of a pack member. Trotting into the scene, she shot everyone a sheepish smile before settling down and looking at everyone. She knew well about the meaning of the meeting. She knew how everything went, she knew the ins and outs, ups and downs. but In silence, she waited. RE: Divided We Fall - Buffalo - May 16, 2016 v short, srry
so she'd done it; she'd up and left them as if the pack she had built was worth nothing. that, coupled with byll's disappearance and the country-wide famine, left the pale boy reeling. there was no place for him here in the teekon, it seemed. his mind was made up even before they were summoned, but he attended all the same, somber, irritated. RE: Divided We Fall - Judas - May 16, 2016 Sorry. I deleted my post cause I skipped Buffalo. It's all good. So, no posting order for each round, outcome is disband. Let's get this going
Once everyone arrived, Judas prepared to tell them the news. Though, he was unsure how he would tell them. After much thought, he decided to just be out with it. "Malice has left us. We are without an alpha." He looked over at Mitanni, unsure if everyone, especially her since he only knew her well, would go along with what he said next. "It may be best if we leave Moonlit behind. Go our separate ways." He was ready for any argument that was to come. Indeed he was not Alpha, but he thought it would be best. Even if he alone could not leave this place behind. RE: Divided We Fall - Rhiannon - May 16, 2016 The light colored female let out a sigh, just when she was about to get accustomed to being in a new pack she was again going to be a line wolf. Nodding her head she looked around at her other pack members,"She probably thought leaving was the best thing for her and the pups." Rhiannon added before pacing back and forth her mind going back to what she was going to do and how was she going to survive the famine. Stopping to look back at the others she rolled her shoulders,"As much as I have come to like being in the pack the male is right. There just isn't enough of us right now to survive, though the likelihood of being allowed into another pack with the famine is slim. Some of us could always stay together in pairs instead of being completely alone." She added with clarity and certainty, it wasn't uncommom for small pairs of wolves to travel together in times such as these. But whether or not these wolves would do what she proposed was unknown to her. And Rhiannon only knew Issun the others were still not familiar to her, but if it came down to it the female would help any of them if they needed it. RE: Divided We Fall - Silver - May 16, 2016 Minor cursing up ahead ^^
The smaller male had annoucned that Malice was in fact gone, along with the pack. He said it would be best to just leave Moonlit behind, and just leave each other. Silver could feel her heart rip into two, yet her blood began to stir madly as it boiled. Another lught colored female began to speak, but Silver's ears were covered in white noise. She could feel her body twitch with rage as she stood quickly, looking everyone dead in the eye. Her expression was not of anger, but of bewilderment. "So this is it then..." she said quietly. Her cold calmness didn't last, the leash upon Silver's neck snapped. With a loud growl, her claws sank into the heavy dirt beneath her paws. "That-" she started off, feeeling her legs shake, "that-". "THAT LAZY, TWO-FACED BITCH!" she yelled out, her black lips curling up to reveal angry ivories. "HOW DARE SHE ABANDON US!" Silver was beyond angry. She turned her beck around to look off towards Blackfeather Woods, where the so called 'queen' resided. Her eyes narrowed. RE: Divided We Fall - RIP Issun - May 16, 2016 Shock hit him hard at first. No. No that couldn't be true. Malice cared for all of them. She was the alpha. She had to care right? There was no way she could just pack her bags and leave! Not after all she had done! His thoughts ran wild. He couldn't believe it. Sadness rushed through like water. Issun clenched his teeth, not wanting to believe it. But it had to be true. Judas wouldn't lie. Malice was a traitor. A growl arose from his throat and he glared at his paws. How dare she?! How dare she have the gut to tell him she would rule successfully? Some queen. The yearling couldn't believe, after he had swore loyalty, she could break his trust in a blink of an eye. He walked closer to Silver, the only wolf that was the closest to him. He couldn't just leave her behind. He needed to go with her. "Silver," he spoke in a hopeful but dark tone, "Would you come with me? RE: Divided We Fall - Mitanni - May 16, 2016 The rest of the pack arrived one by one from their respective corners of the territory, but Mitanni only spared them each a glance and nothing more. She anticipated their reactions to range the spectrum of disappointed, sad, and even angry, and as much as they would have been justified in those feelings she still wasn't sure she wanted to witness them. Duty kept her in place--her leader might have been gone, but she was still bound in some way to the Moonlit Hills--and though she sat with her gaze lowered, a dismal look about her as she refused eye contact, she listened as Judas gave the news and the wolves reacted. The light-hued female Mitanni hadn't gotten to speak with before offered her advice while Silver violently fumed, her outburst causing the little wolf to flinch. She didn't want to listen to this. She didn't want to think about any of it. What she did want was to be back at her den, alone, where she could think about everything that had happened in private and figure out what she was going to do next. And that didn't involve anyone here. She was quiet by nature, but she was silent now. Mitanni got back to her feet, glanced once at the wolves that were all that was left of the pack she'd dedicated herself to--lingering on Judas as he'd shared her experience seeking out Malice--and without a word turned and walked from the meeting toward her den. RE: Divided We Fall - Buffalo - May 17, 2016 he was done listening. when the woman called mitanni turned away, buffalo did as well. the others could split up into pathetic little pairings or groups. he was done here. byll was the only thing on his mind, and the man set off at a quick clip. he wouldn't find her trail, but there would be some trace of her, and this he would follow until he found his sister. RE: Divided We Fall - Judas - May 18, 2016 Let's finish up.
Admitedly the female's idea was a good plan. Pairing off would be smart, and Issun agreed on it. As did he. But he had no one to pair up with, or so he thought. They had truly fallen apart and been divided by this event. Judas opened his mouth to ask Mitanni. But he held it back as she turned to leave. If she wished to be alone, then he wouldn't stop her. But she was the only one he knew here, and if he was to stick with anyone, he would rather a friend over a stranger. But he could call her a friend? Or merely just someone he trusted? "This is farewell then" he thought to himself. He had a plan that if no one went away with him, he would stay here. Besides, out there was not safe. Judas would rather stay here and die alone then face his inner demons resurfacing out there. Before he left, he turned his gaze to Issun. "For what it's worth, I am sorry." Then he strode off before any reply could be made, not wanting to hear anything. RE: Divided We Fall - Silver - May 18, 2016 The others began to disperse, for the family was crumbling right in front of her. Silver, after recovering from her anger, could feel her heart rip into tiny pieces. So this was it, wasn't it? Mitanni and Buffalo already left, and Silver yearned to spread her wings and take off. However, being a loner in a swarm like this, it was a death wish. She lowered her head, her ears dropping in sadness. The coyowlf let out an apology before striding off. This was truly the end of everything they worked for. Silver, hearing Issun's question, looked towards the yearling. "I will" she replied to his hopeful tone. Issun would be the only reminder of her family of Moonlit Hills in the Phantom Hollow. She sighed, seeing everyone depart. With a heavy heart, she turned to Issun. A few stray tears fell from her eyes. "Let's go" she said softly. RE: Divided We Fall - Rhiannon - May 18, 2016 Bi-eyes watched another female let out her frustration causing the light female to flinch. She hasn't expected such a rant to come out of anyone but understood the girl's feelings. Cocking her head to the side she watched as another female and male just walk away without really saying much in terms of advice for the small group. So this was indeed where what was left of Moonlit Hills would part and go there separate ways. Only one's who now stood here were Issun, the female who had been asked to travel with Issun, the male who had called the meeting, and her. Rhiannon was not much for company but neither did she want to be alone. So turning her head toward the male who had called them all together she was about to open her mouth when he to apologized before leaving. With a sigh and a roll of her shoulders she turned her head back towards Issun," Maybe we will all be together again once the famine is over?" She said with hope in her voice before nodding her head, she wanted to go back to the den and think about where she was going to go next. And with that last good-bye she turned away from them and left. |
