God damn, the fish! - Sadie - May 21, 2016 With her head set on surviving the famine, Sadie was already at the banks of the river. Her honey irises watched the fish with a hungry intent, her tail swaying back and forth feverishly. Since her last try at fishing was a success, she wanted to try herself again. Her confidence was almost flything through the roof as she waited by the riverbank. She was happy to be at home, wondering where most of her subordinates went. She hadn't seen the Sparrow in awhile, not had she met any of the others here. Welp, might as well fish and try to make herself useful. Seeing a smaller school of fish come by, Sadie waited a few minutes before launching her muzzle in. Nothing but water. The fish swam beneath her teeth as dirt scattered about. With in irritated growl, Sadie withdrew her head and shook off the water. Her gold eyes watched them swim off, practically laughing at her. Round two. She waited a bit longer this time, hoping that Calypso wouldn't play such a cruel joke on her again. Once more, another school swam by, thought they were smaller. She felt her stomach act before her head, quickly diviving in to grab something. She felt something in her jaws, quickly bringing it up to reveal-! A rock. Her black lips pulled back in ager as she discarded the rock into the stream, seeing more fish scatter about as dirt flew up like someone dropped a bomb. She sat down, an irritated scowl on her face. Why weren't the fish just swimming into her mouth like before? Was she doing something wrong again? RE: God damn, the fish! - Rana - May 22, 2016 Should probably socialize with other pack members
The dark female walked along the bank of the river. To get here she'd had to follow the ravine to a more favorable place to climb. Farther along she saw a coat of varying browns and stopped. Her ears pivoted forwards when Sadie rushed the water. The growling that followed didn't surprise her, as she knew fishing could be even more irritating when it was the only steady food source availible. She watched the female pull up a rock and had to supress a laugh. It wasn't viewed as a smart thing to do in this situation. Walking forwards once again, she chose not to give a greeting. "Struggling?" RE: God damn, the fish! - Sadie - May 24, 2016 *inserts Ass Sadie* Try not to kill her Sadie!
Hearing a word from another that came off as snarky to Sadie, she quickly shot up and allowed her hackles to rise. It was a voice she hadn't heart before, so she knew it was her DIVINE right to express her position of power in the ranks. With her lips pulled back in a grisly snarl, she made one step forward and let off a silent warning of 'I bite'. "And what buisness be that to ye, wench?" she spat, obviously not very happy. Her crooked snarl was not very settling, nor pleasant, nor anything positive. If anything, it just reflected her brutish behavior. "Ye know fish are hard to catch sometime, don't ye?" she questioned, somewhat crumbly and unstable. Her ears were flat against her skull, her tail almost as high as a flag. Her growls subisded a bit, as she drew back to focus once more and catch something edible. Next two posts will be here fishing and chatting. First attempt fail, second success here!
RE: God damn, the fish! - Rana - May 25, 2016 Oh this is going to make her mad...rolled 2. And sorry for putting it here, I struggle with linking to a specific spot on a thread.
She took a step back and sat. What had she done to upset the female so much? And wench? She was just asking and trying to be social, without getting what she could only assume was an insult. Her jaws parted to speak, but she quickly closed them again when the female settled to make another attempt.Turning her maroon gaze to the water, she thought might as well try myself, a meal would be nice. She stood again only to point her front paws to the water before sitting again. From here, if the female moved without making a noise, Rana wouldn't notice, as all her attention was given to the small stretch of water ahead of her. RE: God damn, the fish! - Sadie - May 27, 2016 Drawing her attention away from the annoying wolf with maroon eyes, Sadie once again settled to catch something to eat. With her eyes on something, she launched her muzzle into the water to only grab nothing but water. She withdrew her head, shaking off the water before watching the fish scatter off. With a grumbly voice, she murmured curses on herself before trying once more. Being as stubborn a an ass, sadie wasn't going to embarass herself just yet. With her eyes locked onto the king of the river, Sadie felt her tongue run across her slick and pale ivories. It was a thick and long fish, one that would easily feed her belly and last her a litle bit. It looked to be a large salmon, and Sadie couldn't resist. With more hope in her heart, she leapt her entire body into the stream, not daring to let this one get away. With the water dancing around her like flaming wisps, she latched her jaws around the fish, feeling the tail smack her upside down in the face. With an annoyed growl, she began to shake her head furiously, trying to end the fight. The damned fish was long and heavy, putting up a good fight in her jaw. With a sickening crunch, the fish finally gave up and fell to it's death between jaws of a pirate. Setting the fish down, Sadie began to devour in a very unlady-like manor, not giving a damn about what the other thought. She was starving and needed the food desperately. With the scent of blood scattering about, the flesh and blood of fish splattered the face of Sadie. It almost looked like she was painted with blood, or at least somewhat a maniac. She casted her golden eyes over to watch the other, seeing if any of the ruckus she caused would help. RE: God damn, the fish! - Rana - May 30, 2016 Her maroon eyes were locked on the river, counting fish as they went by and noting their size. Those that looked smaller then her paw she cast aside, but if they were slightly bigger, she would watch for a chance. Most of these larger fish seemed close to the rocks, but it was impossible to judge exact distance with the warped view beneath the surface. After a minute of waiting, the flash of scales above the water pulled her attention away from the fixed location, and at this point she'd completely forgotten about Sadie. It wasn't big enough to fill her, but not small enough that it wouldn't be worth catching. The activity near her had caused the fish to panic, which was the only reason the scaley creatures were so close to the surface, or at least in her mind it was. The dark female quickly readied herself to act, moving her head down as the fish swam closer. She snapped when it was in front of her, feeling her jaws close around the squirming body of her prey. Lifting it out, she took a few struggling steps away and dropped her prize on the rocks and pinned it in place with a paw to deliver a crunching bite to the head. She let herself fall into a more comfortable position to eat the fish. Her stomach drove her to devour the fish as quickly as possible, and begged for another when the first was finished. Instead of taking the step towards the river, she stayed where she was and chewed on the bones. Only then did she remember the other wolf. She held a bone between her jaws as she tilted her head. RE: God damn, the fish! - Sadie - June 09, 2016 ooc: wrapping this up since i'm so behind on threads :( Seeing that the other had caught a fish from all the water scatter, Sadie decided it was time to go and eat in peace. She already was getting on the bad side of this she wolf, but her sickened pride didn't let the pirate take notice. With her head high, the delta exited the area with her prize in her jaws towards her den. Her tail waved about proudly, walking straight throw the river to make it to her den. She didn't even cast another thought to Rana. RE: God damn, the fish! - Rana - June 10, 2016 That's fine
Rana noticed that Sadie had left, not bothering to try and stop her. She didn't want to risk more insults, she didn't have the energy for it anyways. All of her thoughts were now focused on filling her belly as much as possible. Standing, she walked back to the river to catch more fish for herself and the pack.
