Please sir, may I have some more? - Novalia - May 31, 2016

Free food anyone? Ahaha

Novalia was exhausted, starving, and in no mood to walk around greeting others. It had to be done anyways though, and she was atleast clean now. The newcomer could not claim to be familiar with her whole pack and had not yet made nice with everyone. Nor had she been of any use to her new family; until now. A silver fish hung heavy in her jaws, a prize she bore proudly. She had seen Terich-Mir pull one from the lake and had tried her luck. Surely she could give it to one of her pack mates, whoever needed it the most. There were many strange scents to choose from in the Grotto, as well as a few she recognized. Novalia had no idea who to approach. The scent of a single babe and nursing mother were strong near the caves but it was silent, empty.

There didn't seem to be a whole lot going on, but who had energy to waste these days. A few of Novalias kin hung around, some in quiet conversation.  There seemed to be some sort of underlying tension, barely detectable. A whisper of Raas here, the name Kesheph mentioned there but none truly made sense to her. It appeared Reek, her new Alpha, had appointed someone to rule beside him and it was causing quite a ruckus.
 More information would be needed.

The sun was high in the empty sky and Novalia momentarily closed her green eyes, relishing in the warm rays. The Locusts hadn't stolen every pleasure in life. A cramp in her cheek reminded the fea that she still held the fish in her mouth. Dropping the dead animal, Novalia swallowed her collected saliva and licked her chops, eyeing the fish with longing. The one she caught for herself had disappeared all too quickly and did little to relieve the cramping in her gullet, but this was for someone else. She ate hers and had to give this fish away, before it too disappeared.
With a sigh, the scrawny woman glanced around for a solution to her problem. Should she just place it infront of a random wolf or seek a place to store her kill until it was needed?

RE: Please sir, may I have some more? - Lilac - June 04, 2016

That morning Lilac had awoken to the sound of her den ceiling creaking above her like it was going to break.  This had caused Lilac to dash out of the den just in time, as the dirt ceiling her of den collasped behind her and burried her den in the rubble.  For hours after this Lilac had desperatly searched for a new, better suiting, stronger den, until she had just decided to dig one out after two hours of searching and finished when the sun was high in the sky.  Her den was now changed to a dug out den, much like her old one, but with much more compact walls and ceiling.

Now she was exploring.  Soon after the den had been made, Lilac suddenly found herself itching to go explore more of her home, the Grotto.  This had led her to find a white furred wolf with a fish, who she had never seen before, but still found herself interested in.  So incase this wolf had not noticed her yet, Lilac gave her a friendly chuff and began to approach.

Sorry it took so long!

The pearly white and grey femme had just lowered haunches to the ground when she caught the chuff directed her way. By turning her head Novalia could see another coming toward her, sporting a friendly expression and colorful pelt. The paler wolf stood, out of respect for her superior. The scent of LSG was heavy on Lilac, letting Novalia know that this woman had been a part of the pack longer, therefore was of higher rank then she.

Pretty much everyone was.

It appeared the two were around the same age and size, though everyone was begining to look gaunt with hunger.  Absently swinging her wide plume from side to side, Novalia dipped her head in greeting.

"Hello there. I am called Novalia. Are you hungry?"
A prickle of embarrassment ran through the fea as she realized what a stupid question that was. Trying again she nudged the fish towards her pack mate.
"You can have this if you like."

Her voice was low and cool but her jade orbs were soft and Novalia hoped that she could start to become close with her new family. The loneliness she had carried with her  this past year weighed heavily on her heart and though she could seem cold most of the time, Novalia needed love like everyone else.

Lilac was pleasantly surprised when Novalia, as this wolf called herself, offered her the fish.  For a few seconds LIlac wasn't sure whether Novalia was kinding or not.  After all during a fmaine why would someone want to give her a fish that they had taken the time to catch.  It was just so humbling.  For a few moments the agouti found herself speechless and surprised as thoughts ran through her mind, until finally she decided how to respond to this wolf.

"Thank you so much, but may I ask if you have eaten yet yourself today?  I wouldn't want to take away any perfectly good food from you if your hungry."  Lilac asked the told the silvery female.  Then she stood stone still, waiting for a repsonse.
