Turning Tables - Odette - June 04, 2016 For @Krypton It was early morning when Odie awoke. For about an hour Odette just stayed quietly in the den, keeping to herself and her Father. She wished that she could have been a better daughter, because apparently she had failed him from her perspective. If only she had been... braver... less timid... more outgoing. Then maybe she wouldn't have been left behind. Careful not to wake up anyone else who slept in the den, Odette slipped out carefully and quietly into first light. Then after padding fifteen feet away from the den, to give her a little space from that place, Odette sat and just stared into the distance thinking of everything that she should have and could have done.
RE: Turning Tables - RIP Krypton - June 04, 2016 She had to make this right. She just had to make this right. Krypton had lied to little Odette about FitzDutiful's death, and she would have to tell the child sooner or later. hoping to come across her near the pup den, Krypron swung in closer to go and see if the little girl was outside or not. Spotting the brown furball outside, Krypton decided to go and approach her, letting off a chuff to show she was there again. RE: Turning Tables - Odette - June 05, 2016 Odette was surprised to see Krypton again, but made no mention of it. The pup just let her eyes nervously trail the ground before her. Although Odie was surprised that the brown furred female was back to see her again, especially after how Odie had just left Krypton last time.
The fluffy pup took a deep breath, eyeing the much taller wolf cautiously. "Why you here?" Odette asked in a soft yip with questions rolling through her mind like waves. What did this wolf even have to tell her? Had something happened? Was she here to confess something? Play? Odette quietly waited for an answer. RE: Turning Tables - RIP Krypton - June 11, 2016 Seeing the girl was quiet after asking, Krypton could feel herself start to sweat in nervousness. She exhaled softly, soon plopping down and looking at Odette softly. "There is something you deserve to know about your father, Odette" she said calmly, hoping to catch the girl's attention. After having Odette run off, Krypton couldn't bare to hear her cry in the den. She knew it was wrong of her to not tell the truth, but what could she do? Tell Odette that her dad was dead? It seemed insensitive to do such a thing. Yet... Odette deserved to know about her father. Whether he was alive or not, what he was like, how she reflected him. She deserved to know everything about FitzDutiful, she had the divine right. RE: Turning Tables - Odette - June 11, 2016 As soon as Krypton spoke the words about telling her about her Father though, time just seemed to stop. Her Father? What did Krypton know about her Father? Would she tell her of her Father's death? What her Father had been like? Odette was silent for a whole minute, very deep in thought about what Krypton might have to tell her. Then finally the fluffy brown pelted pup began to speak.
"Tell me." Odette breath quietly and then proceed to stare up at Krypton, as if the taller grown wolf could reveal everything to her. Everything that she had ever wanted to know about her deceased Father, which happened to be every last thing detail. Every last thing. All summed up, Odie wanted to know everything. RE: Turning Tables - RIP Krypton - June 12, 2016 "Tell me." Krypton took in a breath and then released it. She shuffled her front paws a bit before looking towards Odette. "You're father was an amazing wolf, little Odette" she started off, wanting to share some info about him before going on about his death. "He cared about every single pack mate, especially your mother because he loved her so much. He loved you just as much, along with your brothers" she said, speaking highly of the passed FitzDutiful. He was a good man, and deserved peace, love, and kindness. Something he reflected during every waking moment of his life. Krypton decided to go on and not leave the girl hanging. "He was grey and white like clouds, with beautiful eyes like the sunset" she described to the child, wondering if she was processing any of the information she was given. "He was curious, just like you" Krypton spoke quietly, though she smiled a tiny bit before returning to her neutral face. "After you and your brothers were born, your father-" Krypton started out, fighting back her quivering lips. "He left peacefully, dying for an unknown reason. He never expressed any signs of pain or discomfort, he was happy till the moment he died." Krypton sniffled weakly before forcing herself to give a small smile to Odette. "But he will always be in our hearts" she finished off softly. RE: Turning Tables - Odette - June 12, 2016 Odette listened quietly as Krypton spoke, although she did sniffle a sob a couple times, she mostly stayed pretty stoic. As she listened her Father became more and more like this figure that she really wanted to end up like. He was like a light in the darkness. Something beyond perfection... or at least he seemed like that from what she had heard... although that formed a question in her mind, despite how much she loved this Father who she had never really gotten to know. How could anyone be perfect? Another sad question formed in her little mind too about how Krypton claimed her Father had been happy when he died... how could dying be happy? It just made no sense. Had Krypton been there when he died or something?
"Di he haav onney faults an haw waa he happy when he died?" Odette asked Krypton with a small frown, not understanding the point of those two parts of what the older brown furred wolf had told her. Then Odette waited for an answer to her question about her absent Father. RE: Turning Tables - RIP Krypton - June 21, 2016 Her question made the brutish woman think for a bit, giving the sky a thoughtful expression before coming up with an answer in her head. Of coarse Fitz had faults, every wolf had them, though Krypton didn't know much about Fitz's faults. She could ask Zaria, but it would seem out of the blue and insensitive. Instead, she looked down to Odette with her murky green and yellow eyes. "Of coarse he did, he was a normal wolf like you and me. Your father could be too trusting at times, and a little too open." What she said was true to her own mind, Fitz was very trusting of pack members, even if they just joined. In her honest opinion, Krypton didn't trust them fully until they proved themselves worthy. "You just have to be careful about talking to strangers is all" she said, hoping to clarify what she meant to the star-gazing girl. RE: Turning Tables - Odette - June 27, 2016 Odette was glad to hear that her Father had faults. It wasn't like she wanted him to be bad at anything... no. She just wanted him to seem much more real and faults made a being seem much more realistic. No one was perfect after all. Not even her Father as Krypton had clarified to her. Although Odette wasn't to sure that she carried that fault, because she in fact did not trust just anyone.
"Waaa uzzzz your daddeh wike?" Odette asked Krypton was a little cock of her head. She didn't want to upset the Gamma in anyway, but she was very curious about the pasts of the wolves of Silvertip Mountain. Especially the ones that she liked. RE: Turning Tables - RIP Krypton - July 18, 2016 I suck at life sorry xd
Her question made Krypton tense up, chills crawling up her back. What was her father like? Krypton had to think of her dad for a little, his memories hazy in her head. She started to see his face, hear his voice, remember his personality. She decided to speak of his good side first at least, as she did FitzDutiful. "My father was a loving man like yours. He enjoyed laughing, playing, and hunting." This was all true, though she would have to speak of his bad side. "My father was also into favorites and often paid attention to only his favorite." She didn't say that she was the favorite, but she did bring that up. It was a sad thing her and her siblings became subjected to favoritism. Her father wasn't a bad wolf, but some things about him were just strange and egotistical. RE: Turning Tables - Odette - July 23, 2016 At first Krypton's Daddy seemed awesome, mostly since he happened to be a loving man like her own Father. Although soon her opinions changed as soon as Krypton said that he played favorites. To Odette that information sounded terribly mean. She was happy that her own Father hadn't been like that... from what she had gathered.
"Dat soons meeeean." Odie said unhappily, and soon found a follow up question to that. "Awwso, um just curious, buh who wah da favite?" She asked Krypton curiously, wondering who it had been. Had it been Krypton herself or had it been someone else? |
