Rosalyn had not fared well since leaving Saltwinter. Trust her to get her ass booted right before a f-ing famine.
Her coat clung to her bones, and she knew if she didn't do something she would die here. She had no clue where Vlad was, but she knew what was to come. South. Salvation lay away from here. Well, death or salvation. Yet a toss up was better than a certainty.
She had neither the time nor the energy to chance seeking asylum with Red or the wolf she'd encountered recently. Maybe someday she would return, but for now, familiar coasts called to her.
Without a glance back, she answered, departing Teekon and the misery of the plague-stricken land.
