not so fast - Rexxar - June 14, 2016 Not sure why it was archived before anyone could respond, but set immediately after this thread. @Casmir.
He had not been concerned. Saena, he assumed, was out looking for food, as most anywolf had been doing, or recruiting more rogues like himself into her ranks. It had not been long, a few days or so. The howl that rose up in the air caused him to stop dead in his tracks. One of his packmates was claiming Saena to be gone entirely, and in the same breath proclaimed herself the new alpha. It was with furrowed brows and a low growl that he caught the haughty bit about how it would remain that way. Saena had caught his fancy. It was to her he bowed his head, it was her he agreed to follow. He knew, without having to think not one moment on it, that the offer did not extend to this subordinate, who foolishly thought it wise to usurp the throne while Saena had stepped away. Rexxar would sooner eat his own tail than support such disloyalty and arrogance. So he lifted his head, and howled back a simple, "no." No, she's not gone. No, you're not the alpha. No, it would not remain that way even if you were. No, I will not submit to you. Just no. Tail swishing in agitation, he stood with pursed lips and a hard gaze. He decided there was but one course of action for him: to find Saena and bring her back, or to find another respectable queen to fall under. So, the smokey wolf, purposeful in his stride, headed toward the borders. RE: not so fast - Casmir - June 14, 2016 to say that Cas was angry was an understatement. the pack had lost their minds in desperation; Spring wasn't even related to the pups. how could they so blindly follow the woman? Cas liked her well enough, but not enough to bow his head or follow what he considered to be a coup against Saena. his loyalty lay solely at the paws of his pale cousin and her children, and if she was no longer a part of the Creek, he did not think he could stay. however -- Indra. Laurel. despite his anger, the Mayfair boy knew he could never leave them. if Shreya did not survive the famine, he would be their only tie to a family, albeit his side of it and not Reek's own. the boy stalked through the bare forest, bristling with rage, but a single note of opposition drifted into the air and he paused to listen. Rexxar. Casmir had once interfered with the ashen male's presence at the border, resulting in Rexxar beind turned away by Saena, but now he lengthened his stride and trotted toward the source of the sound. it was an appraising look and a brief bow he gave Rexxar as the man came into view, along with a firm shake of his head in agreement with the howl that the other had given Spring. no. |
