I wanna run away - Zaavier - June 25, 2016

Open for anyone, aiming for loners! <3

The lanky brute had traveled for a long while. He knew it would take some time, and he did find out that journeying with an injured shoulder was no help either. His tail swayed as he walked and soon, a mighty forest began to loom up in front of him. He smiled, enjoying the comfort of trees, and made a beeline straight for them.

Once inside the forest, Zaavier could spot many signs of new growth. It was a sign that told him to keep hanging on. Life would return back to normal, and with that, new empires. With that thought in mind, Zaavier paused. Should he call for some lone wolves, or just seek them out?

He stole a quick glance at his injured shoulder and decided the second idea was not an option. He needed to rest it for the journey ahead of him. So, the large male lifted his head and let loose a marvelous sound. It echoed through the forest, but he kept it quiet enough that it didn't go much further. He wanted the wolves within the forest. With that done, Zaavier sat down upon his rump and waited. Surely someone would come?

RE: I wanna run away - Antumbra - June 25, 2016

I couldn't resist. :)

More and more days did Thuringwethil have food in her stomach and every few days, she noticed her waist and muscle had begun. It isn't much still, knowing it would take longer training and eating as much as she could to regain her former glory. A deadly force, she will still consider herself, which makes it easier to leave the territory. With Gyda fed and secured, guarded by Hush, if only to keep Dio and the others on the borders for any outsiders. A few new wolves have certainly booster the security on the borders when they were down a warrior.

Thuringwethil moves south, over the river and into the maplewood she'd destroyed a few months ago, and the locust having come and finished what she'd started. It is now that it has begun it's rebuild to former glory, for life once more, and she knew a stronger eye on the territory would be needed.

Distracted from her thoughts in that moment, she turns to follow a scent she recognizes, followed by a bellowing howl. It's met with a growl of distaste as she comes across the overgrown coyote-looking wolf that had come to the moraine and help the other grotto member. Both had ultimately turned tail and fled and Heda had been able to feed her wolves. Her jaws tighten and her growl silences, putting herself into view but at a distance of several yards away.

Haha, here comes the Heda!

Zaavier's ears pricked as a low growl is brought to them. He hackles raise and slowly does his head move. Craning his neck, he spots that dark pelted woman he saw on the maraine the day Charley had killed the calf. Charley had killed it, and yet, they had taken it. It was so fucked up in his mind.

He turned around to face her, holding his head high. He was not afraid of her, yet he was not challenging her. He was in no mood for a fight, especially with the trip ahead of him. His tail lashed, wondering why the woman had even cared to approach him. "Yes?" He said, limiting the amount of hatred that seeped through his voice. He couldn't help the slight twitch of his lip, but his didn't let his lips fully pull back, despite how badly he wanted to burry his pearly fangs into her flesh.

Thuringwethil watches the wolf as he turns to her, recognizing her immediately, and her own lips lift as his does but she shows more teeth. Foolishly, he holds himself high and she only squares her shoulders more and arches her tail. Thinned out from the famine she may be, she is still a warrior deep inside. Trained from the day she could walk, and the first life she’d taken at six months old, another straggler she’d chased off once before poses little threat. Her fur bristles, making an effort to hide her just how thin she’d become—albeit with a few meals, she can feel herself slowly returning to normal. It will take time and training to return to her former glory.

“I’ve chased an entire pack from this land, and I'll do the same to you,” she snarls and slowly inches forward. A growl remains low and rumbling in her throat, feet ready to spring into action should the just as famished and emaciated wolf might come at her. However, before he gets a chance, she lets lose of the springs and charges forward with heavy paws thudding the ground. She’d chase him to the ends of the territory and beyond if only to get him out of the land she’d conquered months ago.

Feel free to give him a scar worthy wound, just nothing serious enough to impact his trek! >:D

Zaavier listened to her snarky comment. Why? Why had she driven a pack from this beautiful place? Was she that greedy? Did she steal a home from innocent wolves just to have her own goddamn garden to wander through? This woman with fucking crazy!

He opened his mouth for a snarky reply when she came stalking towards him, ready to fight him. If it had been up to the lanky brute, he wouldn't have gotten into a fight, but it wasn't up to him. It was up to her. She charged, and Zaavier, driven by rage, charged back at her. His teeth bared and his hackles raised. He swerved to her side, lashing out with a forepaw and aiming to snag on some sort of flesh upon her face. He stretched out his neck and opened his jaws, hoping he'd at least make contact.

Then, hoping he'd made his mark, Zaavier turned and bolted from the scene, not in the mood for sustaining any more injuries than he'd already had. His injured shoulder from when Gluskap had attacked up burned like crazy, seeming to light his flesh on fire and Zaavier had to hold back a whimper of pain. But he pressed on, determined to make it out. Soon, he had burst from the treeline, tail flying behind him as he went. He didn't dare look behind him for the wretched bitch was surely hot on his heels.

The wolf doesn't turn tail and run and instead charges for her. If she could, she might have smiled, eager to taste to metallic blood of another. She'd gone so long without prey that anything she can get, she'd take, even the flesh of her own. Though things are returning, the promise of their future still hangs in the balance and Thuringwethil isn't about to risk the chance for a little fun.

They meet in the middle quicker now that he's chosen to charge but his moves are awkward as he shoots one leg for her face. A move that leaves him vulnerable.

The brunt of his paw pushes against head despite her movement but the impact doesn't deter her, snapping for the thin muscle above his shoulder to rip. Blood fills her mouth and she growls, disregarding the pain to the side of her neck as his teeth meets her skin. She tears at his shoulder with as much as she could and only release when he turns the other way. Tufts of fur remain and her blood soaked tongue works some of them out of her mouth. She growls and quickly pursues him until she can no longer see him in the Maplewood.

Thuringwethil slows to a stop, shifting her weight and feeling the weight of everything in that moment. The warmth of her own blood soaks through her fur, unable to see the tear on the extra skin behind her ear, but she turns back and makes her way back home.
