Little Tin Soldier - Seff - July 10, 2016

set to the 21th(ish)

The little boy was not thinking much of this adventure, after all. He had slipped from the den he shared with his mother in the early morning, and plundered off to the south. He had caught the scent of Reek, now Hiram, and trailed it, crossing the border in the progress. Leaving behind his pack, his family, set a slight edge of unease curling in his stomach, but the boy trundled on, until he found himself quite lost and a distance from the borders of his home.

His brilliant blue eyes glistened, and he drew in a big breath, trying to quell his rapidly fraying nerves. This was bad. This was very bad. Where was his momma? Where was his dadda, his uncle Reek? The boy stopped, quivering, tear rising in his gaze, totally ignorant of the fact that there was a rather large bird of prey circling above, gaze fixed on him.

RE: Little Tin Soldier - Potema - July 10, 2016

In search of herbs, Potema went north, further north than she had in a long time. There was one specific plant that was evading her in her search, forcing her far from Blackfeather Woods. Henbane. No matter where she looked, the little plant was no where to be found. In desperation the witch travelled as north as she thought the plant would dare to grow, combing the landscape in her search for some sign of the plant.

When she felt a slight chill in her spine as she entered Redtail Rise, she knew that the plant would grow no further north than here. Clicking her tongue in annoyance, the witch decided to bed here for the day and return south and try once more. Surely the plant must be here somewhere!

A growl in her stomach distracted her from her pursuits. Finding a herb was nice, but finding food would be much better. The white witch heeded her stomach's demands, her stance quickly going from herbalist to hunter as she scowered the Rise.

Her single blue eye scanned the area around her, on the lookout for something...wait. What's that? Potema squinted at the small brown figure in the distance. That didn't look like a rabbit. The witch approached, curious as the form melded from a brown blob to a canine shaped figure...a pup? What are you doing out here all alone? She called, parting from the shadows of the forest to walk towards the boy.

Just as Seff was about the burst into full-fledged tears, another appeared. His eyes widened, for she bore the pelt of a moon, and many other, duller colours were visible around her paws. He gave a little gasp, so entrapped was he by the sight of a pure-white wolf. Her amazing appearance made up for the fact that; a: she was a stranger, and b: her eyes seemed to be...dripping? A little smile came to his maw, and he sat, tiny tail wagging.

"I'm going on an adventure!" said the little boy brightly. Now that the other was here, it was all alright. Though he did not recall seeing her before, he was sure that she lived in his home. Where else would one live? Though her scent was not familiar, it was instead odd and dark. It made him slightly uneasy, he did not know the reason for this and therefore ignored the feeling.

RE: Little Tin Soldier - Potema - July 21, 2016

He wasn't afraid of her, instead he seemed...enraptured. His gasp turned into a smile as his stubby little tail wagged behind him. An adventure? He seemed far from home, with no one to protect him...

Wait. Was she actually thinking about kidnapping a child? It wasn't too far off from her thinking when Malice was in their midst, after all, but this child wasn't a newborn. He was walking and talking, aware. She mulled on for a brief moment. She didn't know the pack the pup was from (and if she did, she would have gladly taken a little acolyte from their heathen grasp), didn't know their strength. Did they know about the Dark Brotherhood?

Ah, screw it. The pack needed more followers.

An adventure? I'm on one too! She smiled, trying to seem less a frightening witch and more a friendly adventurer. Did you find anything interesting?

RE: Little Tin Soldier - Seff - August 02, 2016

She was on an adventure too! This was amazing! All the females in his life had been kind and amazing, he had utter trust in everyone. This woman was spectacular- white as the moon, and odd colours too, though her eyes gave him a slightly uneasy feeling, the fact that she was an adventurer too made that okay. His blue eyes lit up, he practically bounced on his feet. "I found skull, and tree with roots that big, and cave! Cave scary." he said thoughtfully. It had been rather scary, and the odd squeaks from within had sent him trepidly a few feet into the entrance, though a bat had sent him on his way.

Suddenly, an idea came to the pup. "Can I comes with 'uo? On 'venture?" he asked. This was amazing! He would go on a fun adventure with the awesome female, it would be great!

RE: Little Tin Soldier - Potema - August 02, 2016

Can I comes with 'uo? On 'venture?

Well, that was easier than expected.

Potema smiled, though in her head she was laughing at how stupid his parents must have been to allow him to trust everyone so blindly. While she was not going to harm him (simply take him away from his parents, nothing major), if she hadn't been there, who knows what might have happened to the little guy?

Of course! She gestured south, back towards her home, his new home. Come with me.

She was going to take him with her! He couldn't wait for this adventure, it would be so much fun! His mother was a distant thought at the moment, however much he loved her, this excitement was in the forefront of his mind. He would see Vuk soon, she was probably right behind him. Now, he eagerly agreed, bouncing on his paws, and when the woman made to lead him back to the dark wood, he would follow, ignorant of what was to happen in the future. He was only a pup, after all.
