Thy Will Be Done - Asherah - July 22, 2016 AW! Still recruiting for the Malkaria, as well!
She had come to this place to observe the greatness that Molech had blessed them with. This Ravine was carved from the rock itself, a gaping and dangerous maw that was both frightening and awe-inspiring. She'd heard of the dangers of the ravine and had wanted to see it for herself. The mention of the skulls along the bottom also drew her attention, what gifts might be laying in wait below? Ready to decorate the shrine and give thanks to Molech? She stood on one of the many winding trails, trying to figure out of it would lead all the way to the bottom one way or the other. She was willing to walk for hours, however long it took if there were good offerings at the bottom. Molech had endured the suffering of being unrecognized for most of her life, what was a little heat and a walk for a blessed one such as she? So she had begun, walking down and eyeing the bright stars that were the many skeletons in the bottom. Along the way she'd found many pieces of bones. Lizards, jaw bones, fragmented leg bones that had been cracked for their marrow. These were the pieces that scavengers had claimed and ruined, the easy pickings. She hummed to herself, a little song of praise she'd begun to piece together for Molech. RE: Thy Will Be Done - Zaavier - July 28, 2016 Hoping in! Do you mind if we bump this up to present day? :D
This ravine. It was a new glory Zaavier had yet to discover. Since claiming the Strath as his, he had been patroling everywhere along the valley, occationally marking spots with his scent. That way, other lone wolves would know that there were close to pack territory, and within his pack's hunting grounds. Scenting a wolf nearby, Zaavier's tail rose and his head grew high. He padded along the scent trail, following the smell until the wolf came into view. She was making her way to the bottom of the ravine, and without looking back, he plunged down to follow her. Small pebbles skittered down the side as his paws hit the earth. His ears flickered back and forth upon the axis, listening for the sound of other wolves. He heard not, and smelled none, so the large brute continued on his persute of the female. "Hey you," he chuffed to her, not sounding threatening, although his stance was clearly dominant. He waited for her to turn around, murky brown hues locked upon her in case she decided to run. He would not have anyone leave without knowing who this place belonged to. RE: Thy Will Be Done - Asherah - August 02, 2016 The sound of pebbles and dirt falling from the sides was enough to turn her ears, and the sound of paws that soon followed turned her head. Her orange eyes landed on the male, presenting himself as dominant. It was clear he considered this land his, this great bounty of bone and offering. She felt a sadness within her, for there were so many offerings here that he would, no doubt, waste. His voice came after a moment and she regarded him with a soft flick of her tail. Her posture did not challenge his, but she regarded him with curiosity. "Hail, brother-wolf." She replied softly, friendly. "Do you have intentions on these lands? Molech has blessed you to find them first if so, they are full of many great offerings." She would not dance around the issue, he had approached her outright...it was clear he had something to say. She would not run before him, certainly not deeper into the Ravine. She wasn't stupid, she didn't know the trails nor where they grew thin. As it was, she didn't think she'd done much wrong yet aside from a little unwelcome exploration. Then again, she hadn't found any markings to claim this land as his...though it would be fair to say she had really looked once she set eyes on the ravine itself. RE: Thy Will Be Done - Zaavier - August 20, 2016 "Not these lands exactly, but this is far too close to my borders," he told her, tail tip twitching with annoyance. She spoke of offerings, and knew right away that she was a religious one. He continued to be as respectful as possible though. "Yes, I guess there are, but they are off limits." He he said it gruffly, in a matter-of-fact way. That was just the way he liked it. He gave her a shrug and watched her, gouging her reaction to this. RE: Thy Will Be Done - Asherah - August 20, 2016 She considered his words for a moment, but didn't directly agree with him. Unless he intended to claim these as hunting lands his over-protective nature for this place was wasted energy. What use was it to gaurd a place you didn't intend to claim? She didn't speak on it, but nodded. "My apologies. Where are your borders and what does your pack call yourself? I am Asherah of the Malkaria, we have intentions on Sun Mote Copse." She cast a last yearning look towards the bones in the bottom of the ridge, but nodded. She wasn't going to give her tribe a bad name for the prospect of an offering. She did not yet know if there was a way to make it all the way to the bottom without becoming trapped in any case. "Pity." She sighed softly. "So many beautiful things that will go unnoticed below." Her eyes returned to him, showing that she would obey his wishes, even if they made no sense to her. "In the end we all belong to Molech. I can find my offerings elsewhere, if that pleases you better." She said, pleasantly enough but with a slight tone of disappointment. She would tell her Sisters and Ar-Khalba of this place and this queer interaction. Perhaps another day they could travel here together to get some bones for the shrine. Perhaps the next time they came they could approach away from where ever this male's borders were and avoid his possessiveness. |
