The boy was an impressive 2 months by now and ready to play with anyone and anything. He ran around the den, feeling free as a bird. Today, however, the small child wandered outside his usual circle and explored just a little bit further. The dark-furred child became distracted, however, as a large butterfly floated past. His little jaw parted with wonder, and he waddled after the yellow creature with interest. His attention turns immediately from the butterfly and to a large white woman. His tail waves crazily behind him, his flip-floppy ears perking sweetly before dropping back down. "UHM," he yaps loudly, feet shuffling on the grassy earth. "You are Deer," he offers with a nod of head. "Big," he adds, to further show what he was saying. It surely sounded like he was calling her a fat venison, if anything, but in actuality the boy was simply telling her that she looked like a fully sized Deirdre! So white and pretty. |
