KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - August 19, 2016 @Kove and any of her siblings who want to open their eyes. This is set on like 23-8 or 24-8. I assumed some things, please just ask if you want anything changed :) Everyday was the same for the little, blind, deaf girl. And she made sure everyone knew it by screaming at the top of her lungs- without realizing it. Every time someone would hush her, she'd be quiet for a few moments, only to get back at it. That was, if she wasn't feeding, of course. The milk from her later known mother was the only thing she had desired for most of her young life, and she made sure to take as much as she could. She felt like the fluffy beings wriggling near her were none of her business, as long as they did not try to claim one of her nipples. They were hers and hers alone. They could have their milk anytime she was asleep, but otherwise she'd stick her head between the belly of her mother and their hungry faces- sometimes even by accident.
But today it was not her yearn for milk that woke her up. As she was poked by one of her siblings in her back, she was stripped from her dreamland, and her eyes did something weird. They popped open, but her vision was poor. She let out a squeal in both fright and wonder, not remembering being able to do this. She crawled in a circle, trying to make out shapes, but only seeing blobs of light and sometimes color. Still, it did not take away her excitement, and so she started crawling- aiming for a very white blob somewhere near her, not knowing it was her father.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Abraxas - August 19, 2016 The pup had changed from his initial entrance into the world- used, somewhat, to this whole "Life" thing, he had taken to silence. His sister, though he knew her only as blob, had taken over that duty, while his noises had become fewer, reserved for rough nudges or battling his siblings. He snuggled closer to something, his back leg kicking out in his sleep. But suddenly, the blob was gone, and there was only cold beside him. His mood changed quickly to annoyance, and he woke, making to stand precariously on his tiny legs, when, as his sister before him had, his eyes popped open. Annoyance was pushed away, replaced by wonder- at the odd colour, the light, the- His eyes snapped shut again as he stared directly out of the den and at the glaring sun beyond, nevertheless, the experience had intrigued him, and his eyes popped open again. He sat there a moment, becoming accustomed to this whole new aspect of life, before his gaze settled on the same white blob his sister headed for, and his interest peeked. Silently, he trundled at his highest speed toward the big white thing, not before ramming head-first into a small lump that was his sister. Emitting a tiny growl in annoyance, he attempted to clamber over his sister and get toward the white thing. RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Kove - September 08, 2016 Upon his paws had his head been resting, eyes shut whilst his ears remained perked atop his crown. Though seemingly asleep, the man was very much awake, listening for anything that might cause for concern as his eyes were given a break. It seemed as if much of his time went into watching his children, ensuring that they were safe and that none of them caused trouble for the others or their mother. They were growing, and he knew that they'd soon be carrying on with wobbling legs and an interest in the outside world. How they were to develop, he wasn't sure, but he knew that he'd be there this time to watch them. Every milestone reached would be something that he'd praise them for, and every scuffle would be something that he'd referee in.
A squeal had caused for his eyes to open, head rising up as he'd focused his attention on his children. Two were awake and moving, both having opened their eyes for the first time. Behind him, his tail had thumped a few times, a smile pulling at his lips as he'd lowered his chin back down to meet his forelimbs. "Over here," the man whispered, urging the children to approach. Whether they could hear or not didn't matter to him, for it was the intentions of his words that mattered.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - September 08, 2016 As she was moving in her own pace, crawling yet trying to walk every now and then, she had not realized an annoying brother would come for the exact same thing as her. Her baby blue eyes sparkled with interest- the white of the snow colored blob reflected in her virgin eyes. Her muzzle suddenly touched the gold ground, Astrid letting out a small yelp of surprise and somewhat pain. She made a pathetic attempt at growling before stubbornly going farther- wiggling butt from underneath the other lump's body. SHE would be the one to get there first- as if it was the last thing she'd ever do.
Run/crawling as fast as she could she reached her father, panting slightly as she looked closer.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Abraxas - October 17, 2016 His sister was quick to get away, and the boy stopped and stared at the pale blob somewhat reverently before moving forward at a slower pace, anger already forgotten in his tiny brain. He stared instead at the pale blob in silent wonder, before lurching forward and attempting to wrap his gummy jaws around the creature's limb, ignoring now his sister. RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Kove - October 19, 2016 Despite the brief scuffle, the father had not risen to break them apart. It was only natural that siblings fight sometimes, and it would serve as a well taught lesson for the future. Kove watched them though, ensuring that nothing terrible happened to either of the children. Astrid had been quick to figure out a solution to her problem, it seemed, towards which he’d smiled, but said nothing. It was only once she’d pulled herself away from her brother entirely and closed the distance between herself and the Inuk that Kove said, “Good job, little one.” He’d nosed over her, assuring her that things were alright and that she could rest now, should that be what she wanted to do.
Shortly after that, Abraxas had joined them, his first act being to latch onto the Priest’s forelimb. It didn’t hurt, of course, but he’d feigned pain just for him. A whimper was forced from the male’s throat as he flinched back, acting out for the purpose of bursting his son’s confidence.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - October 20, 2016 She looked proudly up to her father, quite impressed with her own skills so far. Her brother had tried beating the princess of the brotherhood, but now his sight had been set on the white blob. Following the other blob's movement the best she could, she watched her brother attack it. She was quick to join in, forcing her way next to her brother to attack father playfully.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Abraxas - October 30, 2016 a reaction was garnered, and the boy stepped backward in surprise. A whimper, a flinch. interesting. his brain worked to connect the two eents quickly, and as his sister joined in on the attack, he slipped in beside her, aiming to fasten his jaws on a foreleg again, though his eyes were raised to his father to test should another reaction show itself. RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Kove - November 03, 2016 The girl had joined in shortly after, assisting in the attack against their father. Kove couldn’t keep a smile from pulling at the corners of his lips, though it’d faltered once he’d looked towards Abraxas. He’d backed away, which had the Inuk curious. What was he up to? Little time had passed before his answer was received, tiny jaws having fastened themselves around a forelimb. Just as before, the ghost loosed a yelp, then allowed for his body to fall onto it’s side. The display had been, overall, rather dramatic, but he couldn’t care less. He was enjoying the time spent with his children, and hoping to boost their confidences in the process, which left him without a single reason as to why he should act any differently.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - November 04, 2016 Gnawing on everything of father she could reach, she awaited the same reaction as Abraxas had gotten. When her brother retreated and attacked - it happened again. She let her father go with a frown. What was she doing wrong? She stared angrily at the white blob that had fallen over because of their attacks (and somewhat good acting). She growled, as well as she could (which wasn't that well) and jumped for her father's chest - her teeth wanting to gnaw on the flesh just above that.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Abraxas - November 06, 2016 he learned, then, at such an early age what happened when one attacked another. he paused in his attack again, peering at his father and considering. the knowledge was of great interest to him, and as his blurred gaze fell on his sister, he wondered if it was possible to elicit the same response from her. thus, while she attacked the white one's chest, he stalked forward and closed his jaws around his tail, should he be able to, and biting down with vigor. RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Kove - November 27, 2016 Kove observed both children, looking between them and examining their body language and actions alike. He was interested to see how they might react, as well as how their play might contribute to their growths. He was, of course, especially curious of his son, for the child had shown a sort of calculative and thoughtful nature that he’d not expected from a whelp of his age. Yet, even though the boy received the majority of his attention, he was still very much aware of Astrid and what she was doing. Thus, once she’d leapt towards his chest, he’d tilted his chin downwards. Doing so was meant to serve more so as a lesson, rather than an actual defense, given just how little damage his offspring’s teeth could actually do.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - November 27, 2016 When her father's chin prevented her attack, she learned that this place must be of use. Why else would he be defending it? She let herself slip down, the new information sinking in slowly but surely, when she felt her tail being grabbed. She let out a high yelp of surprise rather than pain, and in one (sort of) smooth motion she turned to him and snapped at her muzzle that was holding her tail. How dare he! She was not a target! She was his sister, and she demanded the respect that was oh so well deserved.
She was aiming at his nose, wanting him to let go and to teach him a lesson.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Abraxas - November 28, 2016 He clamped on with glee, and when he had delivered his sharp bite and known then that such bites elicited the same response than when he had done the same to his father did he release her and spin on his heel, her snap missing his face by inches as he slipped rapidly toward the shadows again, headache at the sudden use of this new sense. RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Kove - December 22, 2016 The focus previously placed on the father had been towed away, the children having decided to target one another instead. He’d not stepped in, leaving them to figure things out for themselves. Should it escalate beyond mere play, then he’d definitely separate them, but he’d yet to be given a reason to do so. Although a yelp had erupted from the girl, he’d not seen any blood, and so he’d held himself back despite having wanted to intercept them. It’d proven to be the best course of action, too, as they’d quickly worked things over. Before long, he’d found himself watching the retreating form of his son. Should Astrid have not trailed after him, the Inuk would nose her over and say, “Good girl.” Of course, he wanted his children to get along, but he didn’t want them walking all over one another. His father would, without a doubt, roll over in his grave if Kove ever allowed such a thing.
RE: KNEEEEEEEEEL! - Nocturnal - December 27, 2016 She was glad that her little brother did not attempt to hurt her again (even if she would later in life find out that she liked it). A proud smile on her face, she turned to her father who also seemed pleased. Good. This had been a good day. She slipped off of the form of her father and settled somewhere near his belly, letting out a long yawn. Placing her head on her paws, she was ready to rest some more.
