Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 09, 2014 @Lecter this one will be placed after the post "sun kil moon"
Ferdie Von Pelt drew up to the place in which Jinx spoke of; off to the edge of the pack territory and bones all around, a thick scent hung in the air Ferdie could not quite place. Ferdie stood to for far away but he also to need come to close either, "Lecter??" He called out, then coughed a few times his throat abnormally dry after a short lope like that, but he cleared his throat and drew a deep breath which them reminded him of his chest. He squinted his eyes shut and forced a collected composure over himself. He would not show weakness he was not ailing this was mind over matter... He had a message to deliver and then his was going to rest in his shared den, never mind that he would be going without food for as many days as he could count, if he could stop this habit of giving it away he might be able to gain the weight he had lost. His once gleaming healthy coat with dull even though it was still well groomed besides. "Lecter? He called again this time more clearly and hiding any pain he might be feeling well. He hoped desperately the male was here the last thing he wanted to do was to go traipsing through the pack lands looking for him. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 09, 2014 hi! also just a warning: lecter is ruuuude. also i'm gonna be vague about the sun kil moon thread It seemed he had been followed; Lecter caught the scent of the male who had been near the young wolf and Fox close to the sprawl of bones and assorted gris-gris that littered the ground outside his den, and emerged with a hateful snarl upon his lips. Icewater eyes bored into the male; nares flared to take in the scent of sickness that somehow underlay the Creekscent of the visitor. RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 09, 2014 Ferdie Von Pelt held his ground though he didn't want to, but he had a task and by the gods he was going to fulfill it. He'd prove himself useful if it killed him, and in his current state the by the look and posture of the wolf he just intruded upon by request, it just may kill him yet. "I have a message to deliver to you...." His ears moved to the sides of his head and his tail dropped loosely behind him. Now this was awkward, he was to deliver a message to Lecter from a white female with jet black paws, however he had no clue what her name was. No one had ever told him or mentioned to him what it was, and if he could have gleaned it from somewhere during the pack meet he had been to wrapped up in himself to have noticed anyone call her by name. She had given her the other males name that she had been with; but not her own... Ferdie shook his head, to clear his thoughts, well he knew her rank and so he'd give the shaman that and hope that the wolf understood the message clearly enough. He did not want to have to deliver this male to the beta, the further he stayed away from the scared brute she had been with, the better He cleared his throat "The beta requires your help in training a male named Sitri in the shamanic ways" Thoughts about the red-eyed beast made his hackles reflexively raise again Ferdie perked his ears forward and looked at Lecter hoping the male understood what was being asked of him because Ferdie sure as hell didn't he was just the messenger that was hoping not to be shot RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 09, 2014 Lecter growled lowly, but nevertheless he listened to that which the male had brought for him: a message from Jinx. So she had found another, and felt this creature worthy of his attentions? She alone was the only one, save Fox, who could command him, and he felt eagerness unfurl within him. RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 10, 2014 This was not the attention he sought, he didn't want another's help, he wanted to sleep the pain away, such was the pain of the heart. But the pain he felt now, was years old and had chased him here, more so since he had seen fox for the beauty she was and yet been rejected in any interaction they had had so far, She clearly saw him as a outsider rather then anything else, but his past taught him that being an insider, seen as a potential mate and still rejected hurt just as much. The war inside this brute was tearing him apart. These thoughts flooded his mind as he stared at Lector at a loss for how to reply. His eyes unguarded showed great pain, had he had more strength he might have been able to keep his composure. But a week of not eating, giving what food he spent precious energy on catching, away and not even having the desire to eat; Atop the physical wound to his chest he had gotten through childish play with another had sapped the fight within him. It was Ferdie's turn to growl lowly, as he regain himself and his composure, his yellow eyes hardened as he glared at the wolf, then huffed and looked away before turning his attention back to the wolf. He was not a rude wolf by his very nature, normally he was easy going. "No I have never been tended to before. This is nothing, I will heal in a few days time as long as I rest" He knew though he could not rest Bazi and he needed to dig out a den to sleep in, the cramped quarters they used now did not allow him to stretch and had since slowed what little recovery his body was trying to make. He glanced over his shoulder; all he wanted to do was leave, he had delivered the message. It was all he could do but not run, he was worried that if he tried to run, even this old wolf would be able to take him down right now. And the last thing he wanted was more injuries. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 10, 2014 poor ferdie <3 "It has not healed thus far. What makes you believe a few days' worth of rest will make you well?" Lecter advanced upon the male as he spoke, pausing when he was only a few feet from the Creekwolf's turned back. "It is within my interest, and to the advantage of this pack, that you be well. Therefore, let me tend you, or I will tell Fox of your refusal to aid us." RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 10, 2014 Ferdie’s posture dropped; he was defeated. The way to get to this wolf was through his loyalty to others not himself, and this wolf found his weakness quickly and used it mercilessly in Ferdie’s mind. So he would give Lecter the details of his physical wound, the other pain he suffered he doubted Lecter could do anything for. Staring at the ground he spoke like a sullen pup ”I have never had another take care of me, I assume this will be like all the other wounds I have endured in the past.... I was by a river and in my attempt to horse-play I jumped behind a bush... I landed chest first on a large rock and was stunned for a while, my lungs didn’t want to take in any air at first” Ferdie lifted his head ”Lecter...” Ferdie began coughing as he thought about the queen whom once wholly held his loyal heart, He wanted to speak up up about his crushing depression, but he had no idea where to brooch it, and the one he had opened up to crushed him in turn, he cleared his throat softly and decided to cover his tail with a completely irrelevant question. Ferdie didn’t care about the answer to this question, it mattered very little actually, he just had to hide his mistake of saying Lecter’s name without thought for what he had begun to inquire upon ”How can anything other then time help me heal?” He truly didn’t know the answer to that question since no wolf had ever taken the time to help him out not even when he had been an alpha upon Cascade Mountains. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 12, 2014 Lecter listened intently as the man spoke, his words punctuated with a fit of coughing. Horseplay — the male before him was past puphood, and therefore the shaman did not feel that frisking about was a good use of his time. Nevertheless, the pale witch let his breath out in a snort. "You are surely in pain when you cough, and there may be a bone cracked, though not broken. If it was shattered, you would have died many days ago." RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 12, 2014 The thought of further injuring himself made him cringe, he didn’t want any more physical pain, but somehow on some small level the injury was comforting to him, letting him he was indeed alive rather then being swallowed whole by his internal struggle. Ferdie knew the den digging had to happen he’d have to strain himself there but in that situation it was the pain of sleeping in discomfort for a days worth of strain and perhaps a chance to rest afterward. Ferdie was very unsure about taking away the pain, which pain was it going to work on? would it change him as a wolf? no one had ever bothered to help him before so these we questions which he could not draw upon his own wisdom to answer. Ferdie Von Pelt’s gaze held the ice water ones only for a moment before he closed the windows to his soul and glanced away just slightly. His voice was flat and joyless but truthful ”I accept anything you could do for me Lecter RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 13, 2014 Lecter hummed beneath his breath. "Sit. While Ferdie presumably obliged the madman, he went to rummage through his den, surfacing after a time with surprisingly fresh mint and a single poppyseed. Chewing them together, Lecter spat it onto a leaf and carried it by the stem back to his unwilling patient. RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 14, 2014 Ferdie didn't want to eat he stared at the leaf but he had made a promise and so he lay down placing a paw on either side of the pro offered paste. Grimacing at the fact it was pre-chewed, he hadn't eaten anything pre-chewed since he was a whelpling. Ferdie nosed it then carefully then ate it swallowing it as if it were the worse thing in the world, when in truth it didn't taste all that horrible. His very empty stomach roiled at it though, being assaulted with something not meat after weeks of nothing. Ferdie didn't respond to his stomach though keeping that to himself no even allowing the burp to come up even though it pained him to keep it down. "I would not call what I am doing living, Lecter" His tone was still flat and truthful but he gently inquired, "Where can I get more? I will need to dig a den and I will be stressing my body with that task." He did not intend to be abusing the stuff he just didn't want to have to come back here later. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 16, 2014 Lecter grunted in approval after Ferdie swallowed the seed. RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 16, 2014 He doubted he'd return here so this dose would be his only dose, but he had gotten along without it before. "I have been eating..." The brute licked his lips attempting to recall his last real meal "um....." He stood and circled looking toward the furthest direction from here a moment longer then he respectfully should before looking back at Lecter "Fine, no I havn't been" He snipped, "and no I don't plan on starving myself!" the anger in his tone eased just slightly "I'm just not hungry." Ferdie sighed and looked directly in those ice water eyes. His voice taking a calmer sadder tone perhaps the hunger was getting to him, or the medicine on an empty stomach was making him fuzzy already "Ever been betrayed by the one you truly love?" His tail dropped and he huffed a soft cough, that was eased by the mint. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 16, 2014 It was not that the shaman had never lost someone, had never hurt; he simply did not mope about, and nor would he tolerate it in others. RE: Words from not so far off - Ferdie Von Pelt - April 17, 2014 Ferdie was a simple beast with simple laws to follow. He was as loyal to his heart and choices as most were to their gods. The unyielding loyalty this brute had could be bent and used against him, and had been in the past. Perhaps that was why he was so shaken. I could live without an eye or even a limb, but I find it harder to live with my ... He faltered, he'd never called what he was going though a 'broken heart' "Poor judgement of whom I gave my heart away too, Never mind Lecter, I will just simply do as you say and move on." He knew he couldn't just up and move on but he couldn't keep living like this either. His mind felt slightly foggy now anyhow, he felt like the weight of the world was lifting away. He turned and began to jog away without even saying adieu and that was not like this wolf. He had not meant to disrespect Lecter but he needed to move, had to do something. RE: Words from not so far off - Lecter - April 19, 2014 thanks for the thread! <3 Lecter watched as Ferdie rose and began to move away, believing that the other had been hurt by his words. With a disgusted sigh, the shaman turned back to his den. He had no time for those among the Creek wolves who could not live with overweaning emotions, and even less for those who denied them. |
