At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - September 11, 2016

Natashe lay on the edge of the border her ears twitching as the small sounds of prey caught her attention. She tried to tell if it was over the borders or not. Sighing with disappointment she watched as the squirrel went up the tree right within the borders chittering as if it was laughing at her. She growled menacingly in her chest and flashed her fangs at the annoying pest. It was hilarious how fast the critter disappeared. "That's what I thought" she grumbled. She had been waiting for members of Spring's pack to arrive for a while now, occasionally leaving to hunt or relieve herself. It was quite boring but it was for her little sister. She owed spring and was immensely proud of her. Out of all the scenarios she had imagined this was by far alot better.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - September 16, 2016

Just gonna bump this to the 15th >.<

Amber had only been back a day, but she'd thrown herself back into her duties with gusto. There was little else she could do, no matter the way she felt. The red and gold form she found in the middle of her border patrol was a huge surprise: one of the many, many family members that the shadowy fae hadn't seen since... Well...
Padding forward slowly, all Amber could do was stare, jaws swinging wide and ears cupped forward. Her ocean eyes sparkled with happiness though, despite her confusion, and the Ciel approached with a grin over her blackened maw.
               "Long time no see!"

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - September 27, 2016

Pawsteps were finally heard coming her way, and yet another familiar scent reached her nose earning a wide grin from Natashe "Amber! Same to you." was her easy reply. Eyes scanned the dark pelted female and she scooted forward a few inches "it is nice to see you again. I am happy to see family again" she said warmly.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - September 28, 2016

Her sister recognized Amber as easily as the older Ciel had known her, and with her shock broken, the obsidian fae pranced forward and nuzzled Natashe's shoulder fondly.

"I guess you already know Spring is the alpha here, then? You're integrating?"

She'd been lucky enough to skip that process - but sometimes she wished she hadn't. It would have given her time to bond more with Heston, plus she might not have had to deal with the lashing out from before.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - September 28, 2016

Natashe touched her nose to the side of Amber's face a wave of warmth seeping into her bones at the closeness and the touch of family "yes, im so proud of her! Always thought the pup had spunk" she replied warmly, pride obvious in her tone. "Yeah, i am starting the process. Does anyone else know im here? Any other family?" she asked eagerly shifting her weight from side to side like an excited pup.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - September 28, 2016

Even if Amber was a little miffed with Spring right now, she was still very proud of her for taking Silver Creek as her own when Saena vanished - and even prouder for keeping it upon the pale woman's return. At Natashe's comment about spunk, the shadowy femme laughed.

"I'd expect nothing less from a Ciel."

Amber wasn't sure who else knew there was someone integrating - she hadn't until finding her sister herself - but she was sure that there was nobody else here related to them.

"Family wise, I'm not sure. None here at Silver Creek, but I'm sure there are one or two of us out there still trying to meet up."

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - September 29, 2016

Natashe's own light laughter joined her sister's as she made a comment about the Ciel's. As for the answer to her question about family, She felt some disappointment but was grateful that she had found not one, but two of her sisters "Im just happy that i've found you two" she replied. looking around her with a sigh she spoke again this time for permission "Since i am not over the borders, may i hunt? i have been waiting to eat for a while now" she said her tone respectful, with the intonation of a question.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - October 02, 2016

Natashe's words brought such joy to Amber's heart, coupled with the excitement of seeing another family member -perhaps just a little for old times sake-, that the shadowy femme began to speak in their other language: French.

                         "Nous vous avons manqué, sœur."

Surprised that her sister would feel the need to ask, Amber nodded confidently. As far as she was concerned, any Ciel would fit in here and be welcome. If she wasn't in the pack yet though, she couldn't come over borders - just like Heston, she would need to wait until integrating more.

"Bien sûr, Natashe, ces terres sont à la maison pour nous tous - les règles de l'emballage, cependant, je dois vous demander de ne pas franchir la frontière. Nous pouvons aller un peu plus loin, si vous voulez?" Hover on this text.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - October 03, 2016

Natashe's heart skipped a beat at the language she hadn't heard in so long. Words about how she was missed, and then the answer to her question were spoken in the beautiful langauge of her family "Je vous ai manqué aussi. Je ne me dérangerait pas une promenade si la nourriture est le résultat" She spoke eyes sparkling as the beautiful words flowed from her maw a wag from her tail accompanying her response. She stood up and pranced a few feet away from the border looking back at Amber "Venez donc Sœur, chasse avec moi" she said eagerly.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - October 08, 2016

They slipped into the language of their family with ease, sharing words and good times. Tail wagging, Amber followed her sister - these lands were familiar to her, and she held a rank while Natashe didn't, but nonetheless the Ciel nodded for her sister to lead.

"Tracer la voie, chère sœur, et nous suivre quelque chose à attraper."

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - October 10, 2016

With the permission to lead, Natashe padded forward her tail held out behind her. When they were far enough from the borders that she wouldn't have to worry about accidently crossing, she lifted her muzzle to the air, as her memories were scanned. She was trying to remember where she had found her last meal before arriving at the borders. A memory hit her and she grinned turning to Amber "Il y a un terrier de lapins non loin si vous êtes prêts à relever le défi. Nous devrons leur faire peur."  She said and began to stretch and prepare her muscles. Once the rabbits left rhew burrow, it would be a pure choas of running and chasing. If lucky they might even kill enough to bring back a meal or two for the pack, but for now her hopes were set on feeding both herself and Amber if she wanted any."Ou nous pourrions aller pêcher s'il y a un ruisseau voisin. Je besoin d'un verre aussi." She added, as she moved her tongue around and felt it as dry as a streambed during a hot summer week.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - October 10, 2016

Amber followed with easy grace, trotting after her sister with a gleam in her dark ocean eyes and a wave to her tail - but when her firebrand of a sister brought up chasing rabbits, Amber shook her head with a peal of laughter to follow.

"Je ne pense pas avoir une course en moi - vous savez que je ne l'ai jamais été un pour l'activité physique, vous ne voyez pas ces courbes?"

Her next offer, however, sounded much better - fishing required little to no effort! Nodding her head in the way of the basin, Amber again let her sister take the lead.

"Pêche, de l'autre patte, semble belle. De cette façon, dans le bassin."

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - October 12, 2016

With a teasing once over a loud snort of laughter escaped from her maw, coming out more like a bark than anything "Au moins, nous savons que vous êtes en bonne santé soeur." was her reply filled with both amusement and warmth. "Je suppose que nous allons aller à la pêche alors." Thinking for a moment she looked around in a confused manner before sighing and looking at Amber "Où est le meilleur endroit pour pêcher? Peut-être que vous devriez montrer la voie."

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - October 27, 2016

The sisters shared a laugh and some jokes, but Amber fell into a comfortable silence, easily taking the lead and steering them in the direction of the basin.

                       "Par ici."

Her light command was playful, and her tail wagged behind her - she would gladly spend some time with her sister, fishing. She didn't know it yet, but her life was about to turn around sharply, leading her away from Silver Creek with a belly full of pups and two males beside her.

It wasn't long before they were at the basin, and the obsidian Ciel padded ankle deep before going completely still in wait.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - October 28, 2016

"Avec plaisir" The words spilled from her mouth easily, as she followed the dark pelt of her sister. Watching as Amber waded into the water, she followed suit, going a bit deeper than Amber had. She went still, holding her body in a position that would keep her shadow from falling across the water and scaring the fish. Attentive eyes scanned the water, waiting for the tell-tale flash of silver that would alert her to the presence of a fish. After a few torturous moments of nothing, her eyes caught sight of the flicker of silver, reflecting in the light. "un.... deux.....trois" she counted, her voice barely even a whisper as she waited for the fish to swim just a bit closer. Scooping with her claws, she tossed the fish onto the dry area next to the stream, and leapt out of the water, closing her jaws on the slippery, thrashing creature. Making sure it was dead, she moved it farther away from the water incase it was a smart  one, and would attempt to flip back into the cool stream. "Parfait" she said happily, and once more waded into the water to repeat the process. Warm eyes flickered up toward Amber, and she gave her sister a warm grin. It was like old times, and her heart was soaring with joy.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - October 29, 2016

As her firebrand of a sister went further out to her right, Amber shifted further out to the left - she didn't hear her sisters mumbled counting, but she sure as hell heard her scoop it out of the water. This, however, was good for Amber - the fish scared away from Natashe and swam right past her ebony paws.

Amber lunged forward, slipping her face into the water and aiming to snap up her prey - she sliped forward, going headfirst into the deeper waters. Her dark pelt blended easily as she was swallowed up, vanishing into the water for a good couple of seconds. Eventually, she bobbed up to surface a couple of feet further, gasping for air around the fat fish clamped in her jaws. Despite her ungraceful slip, she'd caught food - that was all that mattered. Paddling to shore and stepping out of the water, she Ciel shook out her thick pelt before turning her eyes to find Natashe.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - November 01, 2016

Natashe had heard her sister's fall into the water, and she turned toward the spot with wide eyes, quite comical as her jaws were fillwed with the flopping body of another fish.  Clamping down so the squirming prey wouldn't escape, she watched as Amber left the water and shook her pelt. Meeting Amber's eyes she wagged her tail and bounded out of the water, each bouncy step splashing water up onto her pelt, and the ground. She scrambled onto the dry ground, and set the now dead fish next to the other one, taking a deep breath to rid herself of the fishy scent. "Qui a été amusant droit?" she asked, panting slightly from excitement and effort.

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Amber - November 04, 2016

Her firebrand sister caught another before bounding her way back to the shore, and Amber couldn't help but smile -- it was nice to know another one of her family members had survived. At the question, he eyes rolled playfully, and her sarcastic words were full of fondness.

"Oui, bien sûr, drôle. Au moins, nous avons obtenu la nourriture."

Sprawling on her belly, she tore into her own fish -- she'd probably catch a rabbit or something when she got home, if she could find one, but right now this would fill her up. The Ciel felt content, laying there with her sister and eating like the old days.
Wanna fade soon? :3 Wish they could've threaded together again before Amber left, but she's more than welcome to visit with Spring and/or Heston after the puppies birth!

RE: At the edge of where I begin - Natashe - November 08, 2016

we can fade after this post if you want!

Natashe plopped herself down next to Amber and picked her sisters head lovingly before taking a bite out of her catch, and chewing happily. In English she spoke to her "I missed family Amber. Its real good to be with another ciel" her words were filled with warmth and were followed by a gentle bump from her nose. She finished eating quickly, stood up and waited for Amber to finish. "We should get back.." she sighed.
