I know you are a [m]an of honor, I'm so sorry to bother you at home - Potema - October 14, 2016

From the Wilderness she went to the foot of the great mountains to the south and west. She had not frequented this territory before, but there was a first time for everything, wasn't there? She moved towards the great towers of stone, wondering what lay beyond, before she smelled it.

Her ears pressed against her head as the half-familiar smell met her nose. @Charon. Charon lived here, didn't he? If wolves could blush, a mask of red would move past her face to her shoulders and ears. Would he come? He was mated, he had children of his own. She bit her lip, unwilling to call for him. She wouldn't do such a thing, would she?

Now that the children were at the rendezvous site it was a lot easier to get away; finally he could resume his patrols, and have proper sleeps at times. Today Charon was out on a patrol that lured him away from the borders by the jittery feeling of adventure. It seemed forever ago that he had explored outside of the territory, and it was time to rectify that. Eager paws carried him into the altar of twilight, which seemed desolate at first. Yet after walking some distance he caught a particularly alluring scent, one that made his heart skip a beat and his head swim.

He recognised this scent all too well, and he knew better than to stray too close. But when he looked in its direction, just as he was to turn away and head back home, Charon saw Potema there and stiffened. He stared at her from a distance, knowing he should stay away but caught unawares by the fact the scent belonged to his good friend.

Of course he came. It was some joke of Mephala to lead him to her, but here he was. She turned her head and caught sight of his form in the distance. She looked guilty; she was the one who brought him, as inadvertent as it was. Charon, was all she said, not sure if he would flee or come close, unable to resist her.

His mouth was dry as he stared at her, hoping that she would not notice him and would simply move away. He would turn around and forget about this day, return to 'Mamakaze' and the children. Everything would be fine. But he was a wolf, he was an animal, and instinct tugged at him from the other side, forcing a battle between his heart and his head.

She spoke nothing but his name, further enticing him with everything she did, however little. The guilt on her face made him angry, because it indicated that she knew what she had done. This was her fault, not his. "Why did you come here?" he asked, accusatory tone of voice, but instead of turning away to mirror the accusation and anger in his words he stepped forward; one step.

Her ears flattened at the anger on his face. He was mated, she knew this. He had children, she knew this. What was she doing?

I wasn't expecting you to come, She admitted, not moving, unsure if she even wanted to do this, I was trying to find a way around the mountains. I don't come here often,

His mouth felt dry, parched, and it seemed with every second it grew dryer. He stared at her, feeling anger because of the spell she had put on him. Her guilt spoke volumes; she knew exactly what she was doing. She knew the state she was in. And yet she had come, using some excuse. But the thing that he noticed most from what she said was that she was here purposely, trying to get around the mountain.

He remained in place, looked at her, incredulously. When he spoke again his voice was a little less accusatory, yet he still sounded angry and, at the same time, worried. "What are you going to do there? You should be at home somewhere, alone until it's over." Potema would be a valuable price and he could not deny the attraction there -- he was weak, he had learned that before, and he did not intend to make that mistake again -- and so she had all the more reason to stay safe. For her sake, for his sake.

She wasn't sure at this point if she wanted to mate with Charon. She wanted to mate, with someone of course; the hormones raging within her affecting her mind as well as his. What a spell this was, to control both target and caster. If she could blush she would, and she would be doing so furiously, to the point where she would be more red than a normal shade. Pups, she said simply; why else would a woman go out to find a male? I want to have pups, but I have no mate.

RE: I know you are a man of honor, I'm so sorry to bother you at home - Charon - October 18, 2016

It didn't make sense to Charon, none of it. Her words only further proved to him that she had come here on purpose, that this was all her fault. He didn't want to ruin their friendship, but her scent was intoxicating. "I — have there been any?" Almost as if trying to convince himself that he should not go for it because there may have been others already, when he also knew he shouldn't go for it at all, no matter the worth of the prize. The likely cost was too high. "You should've picked someone beforehand," he said, "To make sure it was someone worthy, and not just any asshat strong enough to force himself on you and doesn't even know the prize he has in his grasp." It was strange how reason mixed into some parts of his brain while others were completely void of such reason at the moment.

He licked his lips as he looked at her, still feeling torn between coming closer and moving further away; both as a friend and a male. She was so entangling and yet aside from all of the hormonal drive he felt he also wanted to protect her as her friend, make sure nobody came close, make sure no one would take her prize without his consent. But he knew that road would not lead anywhere pretty and that he shouldn't walk it. The only true path was to turn around and leave, but he found himself rooted in place.

She stiffened. Did she want to tell him? What would he think, how would he react if he said so? No,

He stopped closer, his tongue washing over his muzzle after he spoke. Do you think you would be that man? Her head canted to the side, looking innocent and naïve but the scent in the air told otherwise. He seemed so adamant about her finding the right man for her. But he was the only good man she knew.

RE: I know you are a man of honor, I'm so sorry to bother you at home - Charon - October 19, 2016

A shiver ran down his spine as she washed his nose. Ears fell back and forward again, in a are moment of uncertainty. It would be wrong, but what could he do? Drag her kicking and screaming to Moonspear and lock her away with Amekaze until she would come to her senses? It seemed a ridiculous option that wasn't even really an option at all, and at the same time, letting her run off and fuck a bunch of guys seemed even less of an option.

He looked away guiltily when she asked him if he thought himself to be worthy enough, because his first thought wasn't 'no, of course not'. He squinted his eyes and asked her, "Would that stop you from going out and fucking just anyone? I don't want you to do this. You shouldn't do this." He looked at her almost pleadingly, as though giving her a last chance to cop out, or to make him the promise he demanded — that if it would be anyone, it would be him, and nobody else. Perhaps it was only an excuse so that he could be the hero in his own mind, it wasn't his fault, he was saving her from worse, while in reality he was driven by hormones and it was no more than an excuse; or perhaps he truly belied this story, and believed in her truthfulness.

She wasn't sure if she should regard him with the sincerity his words suggested. He was caught in the web of her heat, manipulated by the pheromones in the air; surely the words came from somewhere real in his heart, but could she trust him? She knew he only had her best interests at heart, and yet he simply wanted her for himself at the same time. Potema's body was protesting her mind's lack of action; the presence of a male, no matter whom, infuriated her loins, setting her on fire from the inside out. She wanted him, and now. Her tongue snaked out to caress his throat, Yes, She breathed, unable to take it anymore.

RE: I know you are a man of honor, I'm so sorry to bother you at home - Charon - October 20, 2016

There was something wrong about this, but he felt himself quite the gentleman for thinking of her, for doing such a big thing only for her. She'd return home right away after this and then it would be fine. He didn't even think of the possibility of pups at that moment; he just wanted her out of here, and at the same time, he wanted to have her. He wondered if such a thing were possible, to have more than one mate.

But any long term plans were smashed by her 'yes', a primal urge taking over that whispered that he was only protecting his friend from worse. A growl rumbled in his throat as he looked sideways at her, and he licked his lips in anticipation as he murmured; "Only if you promise this will be the only time." No others, like she promised; just him. He was helping her out, of course, that was the only reason he would do it; she needed him to rescue her, the damsel in distress, and send her back to her pack.

She had already mated with another before him, but she feared what would happen if the news of their mating got to Charon's pack, or the first green-eyed male's. It was that fear that would push her far from the Flatlands and the Wilderness; she did not know how those packs tolerated unscheduled matings.

I promise, She said, knowing that such a thing would not last for long. He would ask to come and see his pups, wouldn't he? So would the first, if he figured out where she came from. Such a thing would be truly awkward. But that thought faded away from her mind as she stepped forward, her tail swishing behind her, pressing her nose against his neck.

RE: I know you are a man of honor, I'm so sorry to bother you at home - Charon - October 21, 2016

It was hard to resist the temptation that was right in front of him and Charon had never been strong to resist that which he wanted. He took what he wanted and said what he thought. And right now, his body commanded what he wanted. "You will tell no one, ever," he murmured in softly purred command as she pressed her nose against his neck. He did not think of pups in that moment or he may have stopped himself there; he did not think of consequences past this very moment and he had looked around well before eventually stepping forward.

He took a step forward, allowing his nose to find its way along her neck and shoulder. A growl rumbled in his throat while he considered the favour he was about to do; a true hero, he was, rescuing her from herself and all that.

He didn't resist, as she thought he would. There were no second thoughts from him. His nose went through her fur, trailing down her neck and shoulder. She rumbled contently, the noise like a cat's purr as she lapped his neck, nuzzling the fur there, waiting for him to take charge, as he had so wanted.

The time for second thoughts passed as he was now entangled in the spider's web entirely. There was no way out but forward and he did not waste his time running his nose along her spine. He put a paw on her back and didn't wait for her reaction before jumping on top of her back, wrapping his paws around her middle and grabbing her scruff firmly between his teeth. Knowing that she would not resist he was quick about getting to it; and as fast as it had started, he was done, not much longer than a minute later. Quick as always. He slumped over her back once he'd reached his peak, making no move to get off just yet as long as he was attached.

It was only then that his head cleared, struggled free from the spider's web, and he started to think. But the thoughts were clouded with the reasons -- not the real ones, but the ones his mind had made up -- and so even to his own mind his actions were easily justified. "No one will know," he commanded again, a softly murmured command for her ears only, and he nipped her ear as he uttered it. He'd rather be a hero in silence. Others just wouldn't understand.

It was quick and sudden. Potema gasped with surprise at his fast mounting; it wasn't like she wasn't expecting it, but she expected some kind of warning first.

But as it happened, and so quickly too, she went along, her hips trying to push backwards against his, meeting him at his thrusts, though it soon ended. Potema whimpered, disappointed, but she bore his weight. He nipped her ear, murmuring once more that no one would know. No one, She repeated, confirming the promise.

It was over quick, and he lingered only a moment longer to hear her answer. He had forgotten about directing her right on home, but had he thought of it, somehow it seemed unlikely he would've helped her on her way anyway. Charon looked at his friend and felt conflicted, and so he nosed into the fur along her cheek once more and said, "Take care." There was a softness to his voice, and he turned away then, on his way, trailing away from the borders a bit further to find a place to clean himself and longer for a while to consider things.

Thanks Iris! :D

He was off her, a large weight lifting off of her back, literally. She turned to him, wondering what he would say. He nosed through her cheek, and she pressed against him gently. No longer were they lovers, but friends once more. Bye, she said, sitting on her haunches, cleaning herself off as he walked back into his territory. She watched, then rose to her feet. She didn't go back to her home; she broke her promise almost immediately as she headed north.
