eos, goddess of the dawn - Deirdre - October 15, 2016

@Winchester maybe ! but open

deirdre had been awake long before first light. in some days time she would gather her wolves together again, she knew, but beforehand deirdre had much to do within the forest. the pale witch moved quietly within it, scouring the land that had fallen beneath falls spell once again for new herbs that came within this season, and seeking to know the herbs that would not be present for it.

she had not known how long she had been at it until a stray remnant of light pierced through her sequoias. she lifted her head to stare at the sunbeam for a moment, quiet and contemplative.

Winchester had been awake. It was harder for him to sleep in this new territory, away from everything he was familiar with. As the first light streamed through the trees, he decided to go for a walk and explore around, be more familiar with the surroundings.

Winchester was still limping most places, as a result of a bite from a fight with another wolf. He spotted the pale healer...what was her name again?...Deedee?...No...Deirdre. Yes, that was it, wasn't it? She seemed contemplative. He wondered what she was thinking about.

*dei's spidey-medic senses tingle*
deirdre heard the approach of another, the step irregular enough to warrant her full attention. when winchester arrived he had been injured, and she had assisted him then. as she took the inky wolf in, it seemed he still hurt... though she could not yet tell if these injuries were more recent. she trotted over toward him with her head high, her task of finding herbs pushed to the wayside in favor of aiding her subordinate.

she asked, are these new...? and moved to use her snout to investigate, wondering who he had fallen into an altercation with if they were new.

"maybe not new, but they certainly sting." the dark wolf said. Winchester was no expert on healing. He was a generally fine wolf, medically, but since he left Poughkeepsie, there always seemed to be something bothering him. The dark wolf turned his head to Deirdre. She was a competant healer, much better than anything he could ever dream of doing. He was grateful be had found this pack, with his old friend Cas, and such nice wolves.

Winchester felt that he wasn't good enough, but at least he would try. Who knows, maybe this place will be even better than Poughkeepsie, a safe haven, away from all the darkness and fear.

she listened to his words with upturned ears, her muzzle brushing over the spot as he permitted. no, they did not smell new, but they had not healed well. how did you come by these? deirdre asked next, wondering also at how long they had afflicted his person for. i have something that might help with the sting; it may scar, still, depending on how long ago you have had these wounds for... she did not know if she would be treating them too late, but she would do her best to make him, at least, feel well again.
