Innerbloom - Wildfire - November 15, 2016 The earth may have shaken and bellowed but the wolves of Drageda remained steadfast. Wildfire contemplated these recent phenomena even as she peered up at the moon, its buttery face so close to earth that she could make out the craters and shadows on its face. Despite its brightness and the excitement of the past day, the Bandrona felt sleepy and soon crawled into the den, her warmth curling against her mate's as she sought and found the respite of sleep. She rose with the sun the next morning and stepped outside to answer a call of nature. Feeling restless, Wildfire trotted away from the den, heading west to avoid the glare of the morning sun. She managed to track and kill a groundhog working on its fall fattening, yet she didn't have an appetite so most of the kill went into a nearby stock. And despite the exertion, she felt more fidgety than ever when it was all said and done. In fact, it was more than that. Wildfire had taken pleasure in dispatching the overgrown rodent, as always, but now she found herself fantasizing about the details of the kill in a way she never had before. Crushing it to the ground and severing its jugular had been particularly enjoyable today. It had almost been like scratching a deep itch: immensely satisfying. She wanted more of that feeling. But the idea of hunting more small game bored her. She turned away from the cache, heading toward the geyser field to inspect the damage, mind still preoccupied. Even as Wildfire walked, she felt more and more keyed up. She veritably vibrated with agitated energy. Only when she arrived to watch a geyser boiling over furiously did she recognize the truth: for probably the first time in the Bandrona's life, she was spoiling for a fight. RE: Innerbloom - Rosalyn - November 17, 2016 Rosalyn had claimed a spot near the geyser field for her own resting place, nowhere near the steaming jets but far away from the sleeping dragon at least. She had a lot to think about and preferred not to be buried while doing so, thanks very much. The mountains rumbling was only part of her troubles, and the rest she kept close to herself, wondering if she should approach Thuring - one of few she was aquainted better with. Perhaps. Sometime. Today her path was destined to cross another's anyway. When Wifi came she was snuffing around in search of prey and ready to track down a nice fat rodent she smelled. When she saw Wildfire staring at one of the guysers nearby, however, she decided it could wait a moment. Part of her wasn't ready to quit just yet, and she wondered in part if she simply hadn't tried hard enough here. "Contemplating a bath?" She joked as she approached, not yet recognizing the other's agitated state. RE: Innerbloom - Wildfire - November 17, 2016 She legitimately didn't notice Rosalyn until she spoke. Wildfire started, her fur prickling instinctively, her eyes sharp with displeasure as they clapped upon the other she-wolf. Once recognition struck, she calmed somewhat, though her black tail gave one decidedly predatory lash. Idly, she wondered what it would feel like to bathe in one of the thermal springs. Would it burn? Would she stink afterward? Would the heat simmer away all her worries and cares? Shoving that silly notion aside, Wildfire replied curtly, "No." She then paused for half a beat before squaring off with the other woman and ask, "Spar with me?" It was a very unusual request for the ambassador, yet she felt the itch all the way down to her bones. She needed to work it out somehow and a (friendly?) spar seemed like a reasonable solution. RE: Innerbloom - Rosalyn - November 21, 2016 The welcome she got was cold at best, almost aggressive, and Rosalyn's brow shot up at the obviously foul temper taking Wildfire. Alright then. And that wasnt where it ended, apparently. The question came - spar with me? - and she sized Wildfire up momentarily. She unlike the other was not spoiling for a fight in coming here, but she'd be lying if she said it wasn't appealing. And in complete honesty, if it was to be anyone, she would enjoy this most. The jealousy she harbored towards Wildfire was slight, and she knew it was petty, but it sang in her to put the girl in her place. Gently, of course. "Sure," she responded, eyes not leaving the other as she squared off. She gave a slight smile, then braced and contemplated how this would ensue. if you wanted to move this along you can pp, I figure they are fairly evenly matched?
RE: Innerbloom - Wildfire - November 22, 2016 Rosalyn didn't respond right away, though she visibly sized up Wildfire. The Bandrona waited a little impatiently, then smiled a little when the other she-wolf took her up on the challenge. She did experience a brief second of panic—she hadn't fought anyone, playfully or otherwise, in a long time—but she figured they were well-matched and that her anger would somehow fuel her abilities. The Kru assumed the position and Wildfire didn't waste any time. She dropped and then lunged nearly simultaneously, fangs reaching for Rosalyn's right foreleg. She managed to land her hit, though her opponent swiftly pulled away and the Bandrona's teeth only just barely grazed the flesh and sinew. That was just as well, as she wasn't out for blood, despite her temper. I don't mind if you PP hits either! :)
