Another First Step - Rouge - November 17, 2016 Continuation/Redue of this thread @Skellige
She had been searching for her new alpha in thei strange new world. The life of a pack wolf was new to her both in duration and familiarity. It almost made her feel uneasy, and not safe. She joined to give more meaning to her life, a bigger purpose then her continuious pattern of living as a loner. Aspiring to become a comfirmed scout so that she would have a place in the pack. By doing this she throught they would be less likely to just adandon her later on in the future. Calling out to their leader she was a bit nervious. Others of the pack might her and wonder who she was. She hoped that only he would arrive. RE: Another First Step - Skellige - November 29, 2016

The call sounded and the shadowy creature drew his skull upward from its rested position from within his cave. Glancing carefully toward Mannoah, who did not seem to be bothered by whether or not the brute came or went, he rose from his position against the rough stone and made a quiet remark about returning in a short while. She was certain to not have understood him, but Skellige expected her to remain where she was. Carrying himself carefully across the soft sands, the leviathan searched for the wolf who had summoned him and found the female across the stretch of beach. He had not found himself in the company of Rouge all too often, and had recalled her slipping from the ranks of the pack for a short time. The wraith knew that he had not been as invested with his wolves as he should have been. He had set his expectations for them too high and they were not being reached. In turn, he had lost more bodies than he had managed to bring in and the numbers of his pack were dwindling. So, he approached the female with a set of narrowed brows and a thin line against his dark lips. A slight cant of his crown was met with her call as if he were to ask her what it was she was needing from him. This was the scout, he recalled with a contemplative stare; she still had promise. RE: Another First Step - Rouge - November 30, 2016 The alpha Skellige of the pack came forth over the sand to where Rouge stood. He gestured with his head and no words. Never having been in the presence of an alpha and needing to show submission before she wasn't really sure what to do, but she was no signs of dominance from him and she though as long as she showed none everything woul be fine. She thought to make this quick and simple, get to the point and not drown on with a true conversation unless he instigated it. "Afternoon..." she nodded to him "I wonder if you might have a task for me to do." RE: Another First Step - Skellige - December 05, 2016

The scout was quick to drop formalities and delve right into the meat of their intended conversation with him. He did note that she failed to realize that there were required steps taken when addressing the king of the swell. Because of this, he lifted his skull upward and his tail rose to follow suit. Shadows were cast over his dark eyes by a narrowing of his brows. Directness he did not mind, but the lack of respect was a cause for concern. He could only imagine that she did not realize how to behave before the Leviathan. When she requested work, he frowned thoughtfully and nodded his skull. There would always be work for scouts, but he was not certain how much he wished to give her. Perhaps it was safest to start with the smaller tasks; once she had proven herself to be of value to the depths, he would offer her greater quests. “We always have work for scouts,” he growled quietly. “And we are short on them, these days.” It was a sad truth that their pack only housed two wolves who aspired to take on the scout role. They were a pivotal point of their ranks, though, and he wished to put them to work. “I’d like for you to trail the coast. Make sure that there are no others who are planning to claim land on the water’s edge. If you do come across any who’s aspirations seem high, gather a name. While you’re out there, I’d like for you to keep track of the coastal lands that would make for suitable homes,” he instructed her with a swift and firm gesture of his muzzle. If he could work through the winter and feed his wolves, summer would show him a new line of Cairn children and he would be pleased to send them to the waters to stake a claim of their own. Drawing his brows forward once more, Skellige peered at her with a curious glint. He wondered if she would truly stick around this time, or if her wanderlust would carry her away from their ranks again. “If you succeed at this task, return to me and I will have another – of more importance – for you to carry out.” RE: Another First Step - Rouge - December 09, 2016 His tail and his head rose and Rouge did the opposite. Lowering her tail, almost tucking it, as she lowered her ears and lowered herself slightly. She thought she may need to someone later how it is pack wolves interact with one another. With her disappearance right from the start she could sence that she was on thin ice and agrrovating even more people simply because she didn't know how to act wasn't somethign she wanted to continue doing. He indeed had work for her and assigned her to potrol the coast looking for others hoping to claim the land aswell as places they could take shelter. She nodded as she analyzed the task in her mind. She figured that their pack lied somewhere in the middle of the coast line. She could head in one direction then report in and go the other as she traved back. Thought that wasn't what was asked... The decision could be made later. He then stated that when she finished she should come back to him and would be assigned a more important task. This would gain his trust, or at least some of it and Rouge really needed that right now. "Thanks you. I look forward to returning with news for you soon." she lowered her head as she spoke. She waited to be dismissed before she would leave to potrol the coast. Last post unless you want to continue at all.
RE: Another First Step - Skellige - December 25, 2016 we don't need to, so I'll archive and we can have a new one soon when she returns
The woman seemed to accept the task that was offered to her. Skellige peered at her with a careful vision and studied the way her features changed when presented with a chance to prove herself. There would be a good likelihood that she would turn and offer him word of success. The flesh under his coat itched with the thought of holding the coast. It had so often been ingrained in his mind. The Leviathan knew it to be right in his spirit, and so he nodded his head to Rouge and allowed her to be on her way. He wanted her journey to begin as soon as was possible. The quicker she scoured, the sooner they would have any mark of an idea as to what was out there. One thing was certain, though; things had grown too quiet for the inky brute of the water. Skellige knew he could not find himself in a state of complacency. It would not shine kindly on his wolves. Instead, he would opt for the proactive approach. He would scour until he found everything he needed.
