How do you explain to someone what you yourself don't understand? It was a question that Estelle spent her evenings pondering since her return. She'd gone to see Eden every night that she'd been back.Why can't I feel them moving anymore, Essie? What's happening to me?

She hadn't seen anything like it. Just before Estelle left the territory, Eden seemed fine! A bit more giddy than usual and perhaps gassier too, but otherwise, the mother-to-be was in perfect health. So coming back into the Court and finding that her cousin was bedridden on what seemed to be a deathbed was an understandable surprise on Estelle's part.It's okay, you're all okay. Just lie down.
