Long Road Ahead - Onai - November 30, 2016 Backdated a bit because I haven't been able to post xD @Brandy
Onai hand't travelled far from his encounter with the snowy wolf before he sensed another set of pack borders. Hopefully these wolves were friendly. The large male was in no mood for another fight. Not today. His large paws travelled amongst the lands but at a safe distance from the borders. He dare not tempt fate this time. In his jaws he carried a small rabbit to which he had caught on his travels here. He picked a spot in the shade of a tree to lay down and rest/eat. He cared not if anywolf saw him so long as they were not going to start a pointless arguement because he was doing nothing wrong. He was just your everyday lone wolf eating a meal. RE: Long Road Ahead - Brandy - November 30, 2016 Normally, Brandy wasn't much to patrol. She took to wandering more inside the borders, tracking potential meals for the pack and mapping out each crevice of the Fen in case anything -- anything -- would ever happen. Because she was afraid of Ambrosia getting hurt or, honestly, wandering away, she'd offered to take up the job in her mothers place while she was sick. It was a tedious thing she'd never liked doing more than every so often, but if it meant her mother could recover all that faster, than so be it. Unfortunatley, the tawny woman only kept getting worse -- this was a double blow, seeing as her mother's life may be in danger and she would have to continue this job forever -- and though Brandy was ignorantly hopeful, nobody else seemed to want much to do with Ambrosia. Today, the chore became a little less tedious as a dark form appeared in her periphery -- momentarily, she thought it might be Peregrine, but she didn't know possibly how wrong that was -- and the Hunter halted in her steps. Her lemon eyes flicked to Onai, and though a growl of warning threatened to spill from her chest, he was too far away for it to really ignite any territorial urges. The recent influx of fights she'd been in had calmed the warrior, but the sight of the rabbit was enough for her to at least make a show that this was Broken Antler Fen land. Tail curling over her back and ears pressing forward, Brandy watched out his way, but stayed silent, curious. RE: Long Road Ahead - Onai - November 30, 2016 Onai was peacefully muching away ignoring the distant sound of pawsteps approaching. He was doing nothing wrong. Though something he could not ignore was the growl that followed. Onai's piercing blue eyes flicked to fall on a female wolf standing on the inside of what he presumed was a pack she belonged to. She was by no means alpha, she held no authority. Onai's eyes remained on the face staring at her a long while before he spoke. "Yeah, I know there is a pack here, but I shall have you know, I've done nothing wrong. I caught this rabbit long before finding you all and I decided it would be a good time to eat it. I'm not even threateningly close to your borders so you ain't got shit to worry about," he stated half respectfully half bluntly. There was however no anger in his tone. "If you really want me to move, I will," he added frowning before deciding to play the sympathy card. "But I'll have you know I've been travelling a long while and have already had a few angry run in with wolves and my paws hurt, hence I'm laying here taking a break," he stated with a small frown resting on his maw and his gaze never leaving her face. RE: Long Road Ahead - Brandy - December 10, 2016 The man met her stare unflinchingly, and this ruffled her pelt a little -- she took another step closer, but listened to his words -- even if he'd caught it elsewhere. Her own were loud enough to carry to Onai, but gruff and maybe even a little more cold for someone usually so sweet. After all, this was the borders of her home she was protecting -- the borders of the only home she'd ever had, surrounding the only family she ever knew beside Ammie -- and nothing would get past her while there was breath in her body. "Mouthy for someone who knows theres a pack here, but you're right: you haven't done anything wrong." A snort billowed from her nose, but it was here she sat -- content to watch, talk, but not leave her borders. In truth, she did want him to leave, but before she could take him up on it, he was talking again: so he already had issues with another pack? This brought her brow to a crease, and she laughed. "Must be either dumb or persistent, too, if you've already pissed off some other wolves." RE: Long Road Ahead - Onai - December 28, 2016 Onai's eyes narrowed as the wolf called him mouthy. He was not, he just knew the rules. "I'm not mouthy I just know the rules and was making sure you did too," he mused. But despite the fact Onai was not doing anything wrong this wolf proceeded to throw insults at him. None of which Onai wanted to deal with. So with a flick of his tail in annoyance and as if to say. Fine I'll leave happy? He picked up his kill and wandered far away to a place where he would eat in peace and quiet. |
