light of the seven - Silaluk - December 23, 2016 This is backdated a bit -- she's well outside the borders, near Ghost Lion Crag and the river near the fringes of the Forest! But she's close enough to smell the pack nearby so I didn't want to take too many liberties and GM that out :)
From the Plains and through the heights of Alpine Lake she went, Tugar alongside her, to return to her wolves. She and her subordinate were swift, and though they had returned to flatlands Silaluk noted the growing height of the Crag as she drew nearer. It was here her subordinates waited for her, and they need not wait very long. The strong scent of pack captured her attention and she redirected her course, stalking further away from The Malkaria's borders and toward the frozen riverbed that was now in the near-distance. She felt the furs of Tugar brush against her own and she snorted, her eyes falling to the sky that promised snow.
RE: light of the seven - Eshamun - December 25, 2016

there were borders to which eshamun did not often go, and those guarded by the mountains at their rear were two of them. yet the woman was aware that she must monitor all of her land, now that asherah was indisposed and giana .... giana had left them. honey as well. the ekar-eji felt keenly their disappearances and wondered at them. her own pack was faltering, and even with ar-khalba newly ascended alongside her, and arunik'ra returned, eshamun was unsure if the malkaria would survive the snows. the scent of another came to her, and the canaanite pushed forth, her ruddy hackles raising. the titanic dark shadow of a wolf was not upon her borders, but the sheer size of the creature gave eshamun a deep and fearful pause, and it was without her usual affability that the ekar-aji moved until she was visible, and regarded the retreating monster with a cold glance.

RE: light of the seven - Arunik'ra - December 25, 2016 arunik'ra had set that morning to finding her sister -- a task, it seemed, that was better left for another day. arunik'ra was aware of the irony as she struggled to keep up with the path left in the ekar-aji's wake: here she was, nearly as infirm as asherah, scaling a cliff in hopes of finding eshamun. when she at last came upon her sister she was instantly aware of whatever presence caused eshamun's hackles to rise: innately, arunik'ra felt her own lift -- with a slow growl to announce eshamun was not alone the sunspear padded heavily forward. alone, arunik'ra might have regarded the stranger without hostility -- but seeing eshamun's own hackles raised gave arunik'ra cause for defensive alarm. the beast before them was larger than any wolf of their homeland; arunik'ra was keenly aware that in surrendaal, such a mongrel would have been labeled as an ogre of molech's will, blighted by darkness and ruin. black wolves were rare in their culture, and the sunspear regarded this wolf the same way she regarded the ghost-like spectre she had encountered at the summit: with great distrust and misgiving. RE: light of the seven - Silaluk - December 27, 2016 Silaluk did not pause even as the wind carried the scent of those of the Malkaria toward her. As she moved, her gaze shifted and she found two narrow, knifelike women watching her. Silaluk yawned in a manner meant to display she did not intend to threaten or push the boundaries of the others. Their discomfort was evident, and Silaluk did not fight without reason to. Her companion also did not stop, and moved against her hindquarters. One ear rotated in their direction, hearing for hastened footsteps that forewarned of potential attack. By the second, Silaluk closed the distance between herself and the Crag.
RE: light of the seven - Eshamun - December 30, 2016

her sister stepped to her side; eshamun breathed in the familiar scent tangled through the sunspear's fur but kept her viridian eyes trained upon the large black wolf and her companion. the creature said silently she meant no threat to the borders, and eshamun lifted her chin, form relaxing, but made no move to approach, as the pair were moving quickly away from the copse. she glanced to the priestess then with a small smile, then turned to fade into the underbrush, presuming her pregnant sister would folllow.

|
