saints and ghosts - Florence - December 25, 2016 For any Nereides members! Tag for visibility. Also, @Leiagore. I apologize this post is all over the place.
Unable to locate her companion, Florence begins her trek back to search for Meteora and the others. She knows they have not gone far, with their scents still fresh in the area, but Florence often makes the habit of drifting back and forth. And now, with the misplaced @Mnemosyne, she’s less inclined to return to her new leader without the woman’s half-sister in tow. Uncertain how they’d gotten separated to begin with, she knows she needs to take responsibility for her actions. Florence finds her way to the bay with the scent of a pack on the wind. The thought alone makes her stomach turn and she worries about where Meteora and the others have gone. Not far, she hopes, and she doubts they’d move too far without her but the anxiety settles in her chest anyway. When she comes upon the pools of the bay early in the morning, low tide finally away from the shores, Florence finds herself temporarily distracted and with a hunger in her belly. She noses through each one, soaking her limbs and part of her fur despite how cold the water is, and keeps herself moving until she’s settled the grumble in her stomach. RE: saints and ghosts - Leiagore - December 27, 2016 Truth be told, Leiagore had been watching the parasite from her perch atop a collection of frosted boulders since her arrival at the bay. She knew little about the pale creature and ,with her and @Mnemosyne travelling a way behind Meteora and the main body of the band, she was yet to think of her as any more than an outsider. Shifting her weight slightly, she moved swiftly across the bay, eyes narrowed, until she came to pause near to Florence. The wolf was lucky in the sense that dark Nereides had no bone to pick with her. In the case of a prominent stranger, then the situation would have differed strongly. For now, though, she merely watched from a distance as Florence hunted her way through the tide pools. RE: saints and ghosts - Florence - January 03, 2017 She manages to catch a few struggling fish in the pools but they do little to satisfy her hungry. Fishing had never been much of a skillset for her and even the easy ones, like these, put up more fight than it’s worth. A huff ripples her lips and she steps out of the water, shaking out her coat and feeling the cold really set in. The wind from the sea does little to help and she moves, thinking it will be best to move inland, but the sight of another catches her attention. Her demeanor changes instantly, fur bristling around her form as she narrows her eyes to find the woman ahead familiar. There is little she knows about the other, as her time with Meteora has not been long but her devotion still clear. She may not be a true wolf to the Nereides but that does not cause her to falter. She’d given up her life in Azgeda, some time ago, and hasn’t looked back since. Florence chuffs light, ears swinging forward as she smooths out her hackled fur and begins her approach. |
