Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Kieran Adrien - December 31, 2016 Wanted to let you know that I, Belle, will be Kieran's new player! :3
He hated snow. It stuck to his paws and chilled him to the bone. It was thick and made an irritating 'crunch' sound when he stepped on it. "s'upid snaw." he muttered. The young pup was only just coming up to one month old, and his speech was far from perfect, but he was working on it. The cold didn't help though, it was always stinging his throat and it made puffs of air from his mouth all frosty and they looked like clouds. He was wandering, not far from his family - just exploring. He liked exploring. It always intrigued him greatly when a new discovery was found, even if it was only a boring smooth stone. It wasn't boring to him. Kieran had a good imagination, but was awkward in social situations. He didn't like large crowds of wolves; he much prefered to wander aimlessly on his own. He often crashed into things, however, as his eyesight was still poor. He was pretty clumsy; he tripped over his own paws a lot. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - RIP Eden - December 31, 2016 The days seemed to be growing longer despite the inclination of winter. The pups were becoming significantly more active, @Sorrel Marie especially. That being said, Eden noticed Kieran's sharp increase in acitivity as well. He was beginning to wander around the tunnels which the young mother didn't mind, seeing as Alder was now gone and the only other male within the Inner Circle was @Sylvas Streiter, her mate. She figured that it was good for him to learn to travel, but she didn't like his small body lingering in the cold for too long. So, as she walked to the entrance of the tunnels with her daughter by her side, Eden was quick to call her son to her. Kieran, she cooed, her voice sweet yet firm, come to mama, sweetheart.Decisions needed to made, but for now, the small group of four had some bonding to do. Tagging sis and pop for visibility. Syl doesn't really have to post, but it would be nice to have the gang all together!
RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Sylvas Streiter - December 31, 2016 Sorry, got shadow posted lol.
His leathery pads were numb from walking upon the bitter cold snow that now blanketed the once green grass, but regardless of the weather the borders still needed to be patrolled and marked. Quietly as the Knight observed the white scenery before his golden eyes as he made his way toward the entrance of the tunnels, he couldn't help but notice the small brown figure of his son ahead. The knight couldn't help but allow a small chuckle to escape him as he watched his only son stick out from amongst the white canvas around them, slowly Sylvas' large paws 'crunched' against the thick icy snow as he gradually made his way closer to his only boy. ”Where's my little adventurer headin'?” He smiled, bushy tail giving a wag behind him as the mercenary lowered himself to crouch before his only son. Sylvas smiled lovingly to his boy as he gave the pup a small, affectionate touch to his side with his nose. Having to tend to his duties, patrolling and protecting the borders, Sylvas relished the time that he got to spend with his family. Brown ears twitched as the familiar sound of Eden's voice sounded out to their boy, the male's golden eyes soon peered up from Kieran to gaze toward the entrance of the tunnels, a smile quickly grew across Syl's muzzle as his stare fell upon his mate and daughter. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Kieran Adrien - January 01, 2017 Kieran first heard his dad's voice and grinned up at him as he approached "hiyaaa,"He said, tail wagging behind him. "I d'nno,"was his response to Slyvas's question, and as he said it the boy wrinkled his 'brow' with a thoughtful look on his face. He then heard his mother call to him, so he turned in her direction. Kieran was about to open his mouth and protest, but he decided against it. He had to do what his parents said, as annoying as it was. He huffed slightly but made his way over to his mother. When he arrived at her side the little pup licked the side of her muzzle and flopped down next to her. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Sorrel Marie - January 01, 2017 Sorrel had been asleep during the entirety of her brother's little shamble. It was only when his hefty body jarred against her own did she wake up, protesting with a disgruntled squeal as she aimed a friendly swipe at his flank. "Keeeeraa!" She yawned, stretching out her hind legs as she draped herself over his grounded figure. She was still hazy from sleep, her bright blue eyes half shut, yet restlessness was something she was prone to. It took a while of head shaking and quick blinks before Sylvas came into focus, his face a familiar playground for the youngster. Emmitting a series of excited squeaks, Sorrel leapt from her groggy post beside Eden and bounded towards her father, paws wrapping round his foreleg as her jaws knower affectionately at his rough fur in a sort of wolfish hug. Surely dad would give her some fuss. . RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - RIP Eden - January 01, 2017 Eden smiled at her active youngsters, but she was secretly discouraged seeing Sorrel bound over to her father. Though the mother knew that he had just as much a right to the pups as she, they were hers before they were anyone else's and she didn't like that barrier being bent. Still, Eden walked over to her mate and nuzzled him gently, leaving a soft lick behind his ear. I don't like them being in the cold like this, she whispered to her mate, her paw softly kneading at Sorrel's fur. It was too cold outside for them, Eden was sure. They were still too young to be in temperatures this low, but she didn't want to pull them from the experience. After all, she had been the one to bring the royal pups outside when they were no older than her own brood was then, but it was different now that they were hers. It was personal. Still, she awaited her mate's opinion. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Sylvas Streiter - January 01, 2017 The mercenary's tail gave a joyous wag at his son's greeting, golden eyes focused upon Kieran with love in their gaze as he let out a hearty chuckle at his son's reply, ”I guess with adventure, you never really know where you're going.” He offered his only son a broad grin and slowly lowered his head to give a gentle lick to the boy's head. Gradually Sylvas' gaze returned to Eden as she called Kieran back to the warmth of the tunnels, the bulky male then watched as his son did what was asked of him, though in a slight huff. Sylvas smiled warmly as he watched him trundle back to his mother and accidentally disturbing his sister in the process. A large smile grew across his maw as his daughter began to bound her way out toward him, though quickly the mercenary's paws trotted closer to Sorrel till he felt her loving grasp about his foreleg. Letting out a small laugh at her actions, Sylvas slowly lowered his muzzle to her head as he gave her a gentle 'kiss', ”Sorrel, my love.. “ He smiled proudly. Soon, amber eyes looked over to Eden as she approached, giving him nuzzle and presenting a lick to his ear, as well as a whisper of words. Only then did his gaze peer down to his daughter whom was wrapped tightly around his leg. Slowly the male glanced back to his mate and offered her a simple nod of his head in agreement. Staring down to his daughter once again, Sylvas gave a smile and spoke to her softly, ”Come Sorrel, let's return inside to the tunnels where it's warm and maybe then we can play.” He gave a slow sway of his tail as he looked back to Eden with a smile, "Maybe whilst winter is upon us, they best not spend too much time out in the cold." RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Kieran Adrien - January 01, 2017 Kieran jumped in suprise when a paw hit his side, then groaned again as a weight was placed upon his back. "Sowweeeeelll," He whined, trying to push her off. The pup was saved, though, as his sister leapt off of him to go and see their father. The boy ignored the adults words, and instead focused his attention if his father and littermate. Kieran watched them then yawned, quite loudly, though he could not work out himself if it was intentional or not. He didn't like being the center of attention, but he didn't like feeling left out either. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Sorrel Marie - January 02, 2017 Her father's soft words and affection quietened her yearn for attention, quelling her steadfast frame into a slack ball of fur around his paw. With her round blue eyes peeking out from behind him towards Eden, she noticed other white things, lots of white everywhere in fact. And it was cold. Whilst her parents talked and Kieran yawned, the youngster's focus turned from that of blissful greeting to innocent curiosity. Quietly, she rose to her paws and gazed up at her father briefly, unawhere or simply not able to understand the vast majority of their speach. Nevertheless, she gathered the general meaning of tunnels, warm and play. Sorrel brushed her muzzle in the snow, the fact that her excitement had worn off making her shiver slightly as she gathered a mouthful of the frigid stuff in her maw. She glanced between both mom and dad as she waddled back to Kieran, not wanting to play just yet. With an affectionate squeak, she deposited her 'snowball' on his forehead and accompanied it with a flurry of licks. He may be a soft brown potato that Sorrel liked to use as a bed, but he was family, and deserved the same level of fondness, however icy (or slobbery) that may be. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - RIP Eden - January 02, 2017 With Sylvas's confirmation of Eden's concerns and his beckoning of the pups back into the tunnels, the young mother felt confident in her status once again. The wolves standing before her were her main concern, and she would do whatever she felt necessary to preserve their well-being. Even if it meant ruining a bit of winter fun. Eden whistled and called for her children, Sorrel, Kieran, come on sweethearts, before beginning to head back into the tunnels. She remained near to the entrance, so as to not completely abandon her mate with the two youngsters, but she hid herself to urge them to follow. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Sylvas Streiter - January 02, 2017 crappy post :(
The mercenary gave is wife a smile as she gradually made her way back toward the tunnels, then whistling to their children, calling them back into the warmth. His golden gaze peered down to his children lovingly, his stare peering between them both as he noticed his daughter had gathered snow to eventually then dump it on to her brother. A small laugh escaped him as he braced himself for Kieran's reaction, the male giving his head an amused shake as he gradually approached the pair. Licking his muzzle, Sylvas lowered his head to the pups and gave them a gentle nudge, his amber eyes slowly looked toward the tunnels entrance, the male noticing his wife had hidden from view. Smiling to himself, black lips parted and he spoke, though soft yet firm, ”C'mon you two.. better do as you're told.” He gave another nudge with his nose, tail swaying behind him as he tried to encourage them to go back inside. RE: Only Miss The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Kieran Adrien - January 03, 2017 Kieran blinked in suprise as a cold ball of the cold stuff (the adults called it snow) hit his forehead and splattered down to his nose. Any other time the young pup would have tried to get his sister back, but he was still blinking in shock at the coldness. Finally he shivered, but felt Sorrel's tongue on his head. He rolled over onto his back and let out a play growl. However, before he could start playing, his mothers voice rang out from the tunnels. Looking around, Kieran realised his mother was beginning to disapear into them. He let out a squeal and began to hurry over. "Maaamaaaa!" he called, frantically. He could smell her, but where was she? His fathers voice was just behind him, and he felt his dad nudge him, so he needed no more incouragement. The brown pup trotted into the tunnels, searching for his mother. |
