No looking back - Burke - January 06, 2017

Please post at least once so I know your character will join the travels. @Malice @Aeronwyn @Liri @Nico @Pyro @Ysengrin

That next morning Burke had doubts, but he didn't show them. He was going to give up his alpha role for good now. Put down his mantle of a leader and trust that in someone else. He knew that he was coming more of an elder and that it was more difficult for him to do his tasks. A long howl rung through the territory, summoning everyone to come to the river side and gather for their travels. Burke hoped most of their members would follow them.

He had send Judas ahead to scout and let Sebastian know they were coming. He didn't want to go there completely unannounced. If they were rejected they were without a home. Though he was pretty sure his good natured son was not going to put his father on the streets. Burke was ready to go. Now he needed to wait for the members that would join them. Some said they would, but he was not sure if Aeronwyn and Nico were going to show up.

RE: No looking back - Malice - January 06, 2017

Vassago has no choice but to come along XD

Malice was scared. She had met Sebastian and knew he was a good boy man, but to trust him fully did not come so easily. Yes, he was her mate's son, but from her time in Teekon she knew no one was without flaws. She was, however, excited to meet everyone there. Perhaps they had some playmates for Vassago and Pyro that were around their age. She even wished they would find some cute females so she could have the pleasure of watching them fall in love for the first time. It was no secret anymore that Malice could be sort of romantic.

That morning, she was quiet but strong. Having walked one last time on the borders, she was ready to leave their home behind. She knew she would return here someday to recall memories that would be lost by time - perhaps even bring a part of Burke there whenever he passed... Bad thoughts. Yes, he was old, but he was healthy. Surely the sky would give her another year with her beloved?

She joined her mate's side, ready to leave. She was mostly waiting for Pyro - for she had forced her firstborn to come along. He was moping around, but still fairly excited to finally truly see what lay behind the river.

RE: No looking back - Síff - January 06, 2017

Liri was awakened by the sound of Burke's call, rising from the pile of snow and damp leaves she had made her bed for the night after being intercepted the day before. She followed it, wary about meeting the rest of Burke's members face to face.

The only one there when she arrived was a woman, dark coated and obviously Burke's lover of sorts by the way she carried herself around him. Liri nodded to both, hovering several feet away as they waited for the rest of the pack.

Burke hadn't mentioned where exactly his pack was travelling to but Liri would stick with them through the travel at least. She had no other plans and no where else to go. For now Liri would travel with Burke's pack, providing medical care and helping to hunt when needed. When they reached their destination she would figure out what to do from there.

RE: No looking back - Aeronwyn - January 08, 2017

The water was numbing, as she allowed the current to flow around her. She cleansed her pelt ever so carefully, until so trace of blood remained, and her wounds were carefully tended by her tongue. She stepped from the current as a howl beckoned,  stiffly shaking the water from her pelt, the cold seeping through her pelt. She adopted quickly a fast lope, the warmth of the movement easing the cold and causing her many new wounds to burn.

she had stayed well away after the fight and the night, and allowed to consume her thoughts of what she ought to do now. Perhaps she simply ought to do away with her trade, become a healer, or such. A role that entailed zero privation or aggression, for she could not succumb to the anger again. Could not hurt innocents any longer to only curb her own reckless emotions. But she was a warrior, had been all her life, and the though of forgoing that role was hard to bear.

she neared the gathering, slowing, making sure her wounds were well hidden and the blood was not present on her coat. Satisfied, she aproached in silence, drawing near to he Lord and Lady, though she did not know if they would be such much longer. Quietly, and slightly resigned, she uttered a few choice words. "I stand with my Lord and lady " glancing to the pair a brief moment, she turned and made to stand amongst the other's,  her gaze searching for Nico. She needed to speak to him, and soon. But now, should she see him, she would be glad to simply no clue to his side.

RE: No looking back - Pyro - January 09, 2017

Pyro had never known anything but the isle in his life. Fear had taken him for a moment when mom and dad explained what was about to happen, for he could only think of the evil wolves of which Vassago had tried to warn him, but if dad and mom and everyone else was coming along there surely was nothing to be afraid of... was there?

"Do we really have to go?" He asked his dad one last time, standing beside him with worry and inexistent happiness in his features. He knew, at the bottom of his big heart, that Burke and Malice would always make the best desicions for him and Vass, but it was hard to let go of everything he'd eve known

he had never truly known the territory.
the boy smiled, a sad, wistful smile, and he gathered his tail like he gathered his roots. so sorrowful! his roots had sifted through the soil and found the precious, precious oasis of water-under-the-ground. yet in simply a matter of minutes they were ripped up and torn from the ground and they withered under the sunlight.
ysen bade a farewell to the land that had housed him, brought only a single fireweed seed with him so that he might plant it later. this he carried his his jaws in a leaf bearing his seed.
his seed. yes, his seed.
he smiled again, dropped the bundle where the rest had gathered, found himself standing by the young prince.
"again we wander, but not without purpose, young lad." the boy that was not a boy glanced towards his lord, ever his lord, and the smile fell slowly from his face into an iron cast mask of nothing. he stared at the rest thus, gaze strangely empty for the ever enigmatic wordspinner. "may our steps be sure."

RE: No looking back - Nico - January 10, 2017

After Burke's announcement of their disbandment and relocation, and Aeronwyn's disappearance, Nico had retreated into himself. He worried for the silver fae constantly, and found himself lost in anxious thoughts about his friend, a friend that he had feelings for. He blamed himself, often wondering if it was a mistake that he hadn't followed her and maken sure she hadn't made any rash decisions, something which he knew that she was very capable of. If she was dead, Nico would never forgive himself, because he knew it was his fault. He should've followed her, made sure she hadn't gotten into trouble, taken care of her - that was his job, wasn't it? Aero had done the same for him, it was only right that he should do the same for her.

When the howl beckoned, Nico rose robotically and made his way silently and swiftly over to the source of the howl. There was a new bleakness in his expression, and his green eyes, formerly bright and dancing with light, were dark and shadowed; glassy, as if he'd lost something permanently and with it, he'd lost something within him as well. When he arrived, the majority had already gathered, and quickly he scanned the crowd urgently for Aeronwyn, his heartbeat quickening when he couldn't find her.

But he found her, and he breathed a sigh of relief. Nico weaved through the wolves until he stood next to her, and he offered his Lord and Lady a respectful nod, but otherwise remained silent.

"Are you okay?" he murmured to Aero, his tone filled with underlying worry.
