Apsara calling - Wildfire - January 06, 2017

This is prob future-dated a few days.

Her mind churned as she retraced her steps, journeying back toward Drageda. Her heart weighed heavily in her chest as well. Yet when she finally reached the sound and came upon the tree, Wildfire felt her spirit lighten a smidgen. She stepped into the cavernous trunk, no trace of fear or trepidation within her as she ventured further inward. She didn't go deep before turning around three times and sinking to the wooden floor with a low, weary sigh.

She wanted to sleep, yet her mind wouldn't stop racing. She wasn't sure how Thuringwethil would react when she reappeared after disappearing like that. Wildfire wasn't sure how she would behave either. She supposed the saw the logic in the commander's argument now, yet the decision still stung her, as they hadn't discussed it or made it as a team. Furthermore, her parents' deaths still caused her to stop and weep at random and she wasn't sure she could stomach a confrontation of any kind right now.

Although she couldn't rest, Wildfire did not yet attempt to return home. When the evening waned into night, which then softened into sunrise, the nearly two-year-old slowly stood and stretched. She headed toward the opening of her little hideaway, tipping her smudged snout toward the pink sky to greet the day.

RE: Apsara calling - Shida - January 07, 2017

Hope you dont mind! If Wildfire would rather not deal with an ass at the moment let me know!

Shida had never seen an expanse of water before, and was rather thrilled at the idea of finding such a thing. That this little cove was beautiful, although Shida hardly noticed. The male wasn't one to notice the grace of nature, he prefered other pastimes. It was at this moment that he caught the scent of a woman, which piqued his interest. There was no pastime the shadowy male loved more than the tormentation of another.

An wicked smirk appeared on his face, as he lowered her nose to the ground and began his hunt for her presence. He passed the tree once, over looking the simplicity of the hiding place. Although as he continued his search and continuously was lead to the trunk he could have hit himself with the idiocy of his oversight. Especially when her delicate nose ventured out to the fresh morning air. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." The obsidian brute taunted off to the left of the trunk she had sought refuge in.

I definitely don't mind; thanks for joining!

She considered heading into the woods to catch some game for breakfast. Instead, Wildfire retreated back into the depths of the tree. She had barely gotten settled again when she heard footfalls outside. Her ears twitched but she held very still, listening. Strangely, the footsteps came and went a few times before they stopped just outside the fallen trunk and an ominous voice called out to her.

Her heartbeat accelerated at the possible threat. Wildfire climbed to her feet and stood there, braced but unmoving as she called, "What do you want?"

RE: Apsara calling - Shida - January 09, 2017

"What do I want?" He spoke the thought out loud, following with an amused hume. "I want....to have some fun." A devilish smirk crawled along his face. He took a few slow, tantilizing steps toward the entrance of the truck. Shida still couldn't see the female that was trapped inside, but his head fell low as his amber gaze tried to catch even the slightest glimps of the femme. "Come out and play." He giggled to himself, with an almost neurotic tone, the grin still firmly in place.

Every step he took toward the entrance was slower than the last. He wanted to savour the moment. And by god he hoped for the reply of terror, he dreamed to hear the slightest fear in her voice. The hope set his teeth on edge, as he waited what seemed like forever to hear her voice.

ok kinda creepy..... I've never written this type of toon before.... hope it's not to awful!

RE: Apsara calling - Wildfire - January 10, 2017

Your post was fine! I don't mind PP, by the way, sans major injury or death. :)

Edit on Jan. 25: Just tacking on a quick conclusion, since Shida was removed.

The stranger's reply caused a chill to crawl down Wildfire's spine. She couldn't help but think of Goober. He hadn't been creepy like this, at least at first, and when the unfamiliar wolf stepped inside the tree, she could see that they looked nothing alike. She swallowed thickly, her fight-or-flight response kicking into high gear. Perhaps he was just toying with her, bluffing. But... maybe not.

She was a diplomat by profession and yet her mouth was dry and she couldn't find her words. Instead, Wildfire let him inch closer and then, without any warning whatsoever, she rushed him. She didn't aim to make contact at all, just take him by surprise and then hopefully dart around him to make an escape.

To Wildfire's surprise, she succeeded, fleeing into the woods without so much as a scratch.
