All right, sport. Let's destroy the Mighty Avengers... - Stark - January 09, 2017 There was a moment so long ago that Stark was bound by the wills of his feet more than his heart and more than anything in him. He ran with his wolves, made his family and crafted it through hard work and determination. He'd made a family here, too, but that was something utterly different. That was wolves of a pack he'd tried to save but felt he was no better at doing than anything else. He'd let them down. Sure, some would see it as a final act of cowardice, or perhaps the lasting move of a broken man. There was room for speculation, room to imagine what was and what might have been. Stark had never worried about the thoughts of others after all. He wouldn't start now. Banner hadn't been the same without Buchanan and the pair would find him, figure out what happened. It wasn't a likely story that something happened to the male one day that changed his thoughts and made him leave B - no one was that stupid after all. Stark wouldn't buy it. They would track the male, find him, and find somewhere new. Make something without the taint of misery and misfortune all over it. Starting over.....it would be a new life. That'd make it what they wanted - they'd do what they had failed to do before.
Maybe that was what he'd needed for months. Fall seemed so long ago, but summer had been terrible too. There had never been a time that wasn't full of strife since he'd come to the Wilds and maybe it should have been a sign long ago. Now he'd stopped being stubborn and he'd taken it. Now, he'd take matters into his own hands. Snow was falling on the grounds and Stark took a deep breath. If they didn't go now, they probably never would, but he felt they'd seen the worst of it.
He found Banner curled in her willow, rather than the Crook, and gave a soft nuzzle to her. "We can't keep doing this." He said softly. "We're gonna find him, figure things out." He'd felt so broken not being as tied with his sister. It wasn't common for them to fight, but, things had changed since then - and he felt like he had, at least somewhat. Whatever was happening and the natural progression of life Stark didn't know. What he did know was that he'd do anything for his sister and he knew that this - this would benefit them both. "My paws have been itching for weeks and this? This hasn't been good to us for months." The if ever was left hanging.
"Let's go change the world."
