Don't leave me hanging - Odette - January 13, 2017

Thunder... Lightening... Snow... Fear.  She ran through the land at a wild run, her fear almost suffocating.  She wanted home...  she wanted it back... now.  It was cold and she was scared.  The sound of Thunder boomed behind her alongside a blinding strike of light.  She hated this, hated it so much.  She wanted to be free of all of it... she didn't like the storm.

And then... she was home, or at the borders at least.  She let out a shaky howl for @Pearl and @Sebastian, a desperate cry.  Her thoughts slowly began to dim and she realized that perhaps sleep would be nice... perhaps she would just wake up and realize that this was all a dream.  She'd wake up next to her parents and sweet Mato, Nova, Ivy and Benjamin.

Yes, that sounded nice.

She collapsed into the snow her body shivering with cold and feel asleep quickly, drifting into darkness... her breath slow.

RE: Don't leave me hanging - Sebastian - January 15, 2017

Sebastian had been terribly worried about Odette. She hadn't been home and the temperatures had been dropping. The male had been venturing out in the territory around them to look for Odette but there hadn't been much of a trace. Sebastian hoped that she would be alright. He rather had her find shelter for a longer while than that she would try and get home through this storm and perish.

When he heard the male Sebastian was on his feet and rushed to the borders. He actually sprinted there through the storm and lighting going over their heads. He was quick to the scene seeing his precious little girl in the snow. He let out a whine and nudged her, trying to nudge her away but she seemed pretty much out of it. The male grabbed her by her scruff and started dragging her through the snow. They would need to warm her up back into their warm den.

RE: Don't leave me hanging - Pearl - January 15, 2017

While Sebastian was out looking for Odette, Pearl stayed behind to look after the kids. She didn't much like hanging back while her oldest was still out in the cold, but the pups couldn't stand the temperatures and sounds by themselves. Still, she positioned her body so she could hear any potential howl from outside the den. And sure enough, she could make out a faint one that she was sure was Odette.

Casting a quick glance back at the four bundles, she told them she'd be right back and proceeded to bolt from the den and to the sound of the howl. It was nearly the fastest she'd ever gone, a pale streak illuminated by the flashes of light. Pearl practically slid to stop next to Sebastian and Odie, giving her a quick once over before helping Seb to drag her to the den. They had a ways to go before they'd arrive.

She floated in and out of consciousness as thunder and lightning beat sharply behind her.  The whole of her useless tail had become a victim of frostbite, along with the tips of her ears.  She probably would've died like that if her Father had not found her.

She did not wake as her Father began to drag her and only opened one eye weakly when her mother came to help.  "C-cold."  She whispered quietly, feeling very much out of it, her body shivering dangerously.  Then she slipped back into sleep dreaming that she was home, sleeping amongst her family, and warm.

Mild PP let me know if it needs to be changed! :D

Sebastian knew they had to get her out of the snow. Luckily Pearl came soon after he found her. "Pearl!," he let out in relief. The female helped carrying her but it was far too slow for the medic's liking. "Help me hoist her on my back!," he let out and lowered himself and nudged her by her belly so Pearl could help her put her on his back. He didn't want to drag her through the cold snow, especially with her mind going in and out of consciousness.

Once they managed to get her on Sebastian's back Sebastian started to step forward. He needed Pearl's help for Odette to stay on his back. It really would need to be a parent team effort luckily Sebastian knew he could count on his mate. They were pretty good at the team parenting thing. He made sure they got her into the warmth of the den out of the cold. "Odette," he spoke softly to call her back to the present and laid down next to her to keep her warm. He licked over her cheek. They would need to warm her up now, that was all what mattered.

Getting their nearly full-grown daughter on Sebastian's back was admitedly difficult, but it got the job done quicker than dragging her through the snow. Once back in the den, she laid on the other side of Odette, expressing her concern by whining gently and licking her face.

How long had she been out there? How close was she when this monster of a storm waltzed on through? She nuzzled her daughter, thinking of the fear she had felt when it hit. The mother looked to the side, making sure the pups still had room to move around, nodding to say it was alright to greet their sister.

Feel free to PP, as long as it doesn't include death.

She shivered and cracked one eye open as they laid her to the floor of the den.  For a long moment she felt confused.  Why did her ear tips hurt so much?  Why was it so cold?  Why was she even here now?  She whined.

"What's happening?"  She whimpered so quietly, that it would not be surprising if no one did hear her.  She cracked open her other eye, glancing blurrily at her surrounding, but then her eyes closed once more and she found herself slipping back into unconsciousness.

RE: Don't leave me hanging - Sebastian - January 22, 2017

Sebastian was worried about his daughter. Even when they brought her into the warm den she was still mostly out of it. He was trying to be a medic but it wasn't the greatest with finding out himself what to do. He didn't know the best way to deal with cold. He laid next to Odette so she was sandwiched between two of her parents. Any of their other young were also welcome to help her be warmed up.

She mumbled something and Sebastian couldn't really understand what she was saying at first. He hushed her softly and started licking over her cheek to her ears. "You are home. Your mom and dad are here," he spoke softly to her. He was not sure if she should rest, or be allowed to rest would she fall unconscious? "Do you want something to eat?" That would be good since having food in her stomach was bound to warm her up right. He looked worriedly at Pearl.

RE: Don't leave me hanging - Pearl - February 09, 2017

Pearl met Sebastian's worried gaze with one of her own. She nodded at him to get some food for her, just to have on hand, now or later. As their daughter fell back into unconsciousness, Pearl licked her face and gestured again to the pups to share some body heat with their older sister.

The concerned mother had no idea how to handle the situation, but she did the best she could. Reasoning that keeping her awake was the best thing, she nudged her in despiration, moving in ever closer to warm her up. Her daughter was going to live, goshdangit.
