i'ma come out with my ride or die - Kallii - February 11, 2017 tagging @Atshen per request but all welcome! <3

She is far from Sandsnake Keep, further than any of her family had ever been before she suspects. The lands around her are foreign, strange and at first she is not sure what to make of the snow. She hails from red rock and warm gems of oasis’s. These wilds are beautiful in their alienness to her but it drives within in her an ache for her home. Kali draws in a deep breath, letting the cold air fill her lungs. It tastes clean, this air, even though for the past hour of wading through snow that was deeper than she thought it would be she has been scenting the putrid scent of blood and the sickly scent of decay. These scents are no stranger to the sandsnake but she is surprised to find them so far away from home. Sandsnake Keep is not a pack for the light hearted and being born into it’s pits had left Kali with no choice but to adapt to survive. It was fight or die and the three young daughters of it’s crowned Queen were certainly no exceptions. Kali favors her poisons the most, though she glimpses around her with slight dismay. She doubts she will find anything useful in the current state of the Wilds and she worries she will have to re-learn as she had to be taught as a pup. The flora was foreign to her, too. Her pace slows to an eventual stop as she stands a few feet away from the borders. She has no misgivings that they are borders, decorated with strewn bits of bodies. A head seemed to be looking at her though it is missing it’s eyes and parts of it’s frozen flesh have been stripped away by maggots and hungry scavengers alike. She has never seen anyone decorate borders before but it was a message that she deciphered easily. She is far from squeamish but she keeps back torn between morbid curiosity and fascination and the small voice that is telling her to turn away and leave. She does not listen to it. Instead she does the opposite as she tips her head back and lets out a low call, announcing her presence. RE: i'ma come out with my ride or die - Atshen’s Ghost - February 11, 2017 Atshen was already teetering about the borders when a call southward of his position came to him. Intrigued by the voice, as it was one that he had never heard before, he pursued it. It was a rarity for the wolves of Blackfeather Woods to have a visitor at their doorstep, and the Silencer was keen on meeting any who stood along their borders. Weaving between the decaying posts that marked the forest's borders, Atshen eventually beheld the woman who had called. He slowed when this happened, his eyes trailing her compact from in his approach. From a brief observation, it seemed as though she had the build of a fighter and he appreciated such prospects. He came to a pause when he was a few feet from the other, picking himself up as his molten-like eyes observed silently, his expression questioning. He would wait for her explanation before saying anything. RE: i'ma come out with my ride or die - Miraak - February 11, 2017 His ears perked as a low howl rumbles through his feet. The man is near the borders, close enough to peek out at the woman who stands, so calmly, near the bloodstains and rotting corpses. She does not have dark fur, but Miraak knows that there was more to just fur color when it came to being a creature of the night. She is unfazed for now, but for all he knew she could be putting on a face. His eyes slid over to movement from the Woods; Atshen. He makes no noise, instead watching to see how Atshen greeted and tested the woman, to best guide him next on his duties as sentinel. RE: i'ma come out with my ride or die - Kallii - February 12, 2017

Kali’s sea green gaze observes the ink colored boy as he approaches. He is large, old enough to be at his full height — or at the very least close to it — but she can tell he is young still. He is silent but his expression holds the questions that he does not give voice to. This silence seeps under skin as …a little unnerving. She has not known wolves at the borders to be silent when greeting a prospective joiner — though for their brutality and their fights the wolves of Sandsnake Keep are quite the talkative bunch (it might have had something to do with the fact that they were predominately women). This Sandsnake is no different. She enjoys verbal conversation even if she is rough around her edges and she does not have the eloquence of her sister Kaur when it comes to speech. She is known for her brashness, her spitfire temperament, and witty albeit also a bit dry at times sense of humor and there were no lessons of diplomacy that would make her good at it to stop her from unintentionally insulting someone (which happened once or twice).

She shifts her weight from paw to paw, her lips parted to speak only to delay it as another approaches. This male is as dark as the first and older; though like the boy he does not speak either. Do they all not speak? Kali cannot help but think to herself as her sea green gaze lowers to the stained snow, her gaze drifting over the eyeless head. A soft shiver goes through her as she diverts her gaze to the two males, hoping that if it is seen at all that it is played off as a chill. As it was, it was much colder here than she’d ever experienced before. “Nice decorations,” She compliments, gesturing to the severed head and other body parts strewn about this particular stretch of border with a dry smirk tugging at the edges of her lips. “You guys must not really like visitors,” Or if they did they certainly wanted them to feel unnerved. She is not easy to faze but the eyeless head is creeping her out a bit …or perhaps it is the eerie silence that she had been met with by both males initially. “I’ll get right to the point then.” Because she was a get down to business kind of woman. “I’m Kali,” The Sandsnake introduced herself with a respectful dip of her crown, her ears smoothing back to rest at half mast atop her skull. “and I’m looking for a pack to join.” She knew nothing of this pack — or any of the packs in these foreign lands — but there was some sort of gravitational pull she felt towards this place with it’s morbid borders. RE: i'ma come out with my ride or die - Atshen’s Ghost - February 12, 2017 Tagging for visibility, if you want to jump into this, Allie!
The woman teetered uncomfortably, as if unsure of how to take it all in. Atshen, in contrast, remained rigid, as he waited for the woman with the sea-like eyes to get to the point. As she mentions the border markers and he shifts his eyes momentarily to behold them before returning his gaze to the woman, nodding stiffly as if to agree that they were nice. His sight came back to her promptly, regarding her emotionlessly as he waited for her to get to whatever point she was building up to. And finally, it arrived. His eyes brightened, and he stepped towards her a step, regarding her with shining eyes. "I'm Atshen, a leader of these woods," he introduced himself, picking himself up a little higher at his introduction. "What can you offer the wolves of this pack, Kali?" He asked then, recalling the lessons that he had gotten from @Nemesis. RE: i'ma come out with my ride or die - Miraak - February 17, 2017 Skip Miraak for now; he's just going to lurk until something extremely important happens.
He says nothing, even as the woman spots him. He merely flashes a charismatic smile at her, letting Atshen vet her out while he lingers in the shadows, ready to tear into her flesh if she dared defy them, or refused to leave their borders. |
