Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 16, 2017

Had she gone too far?

The dove-pelted woman had left her pack's territory to get away from the wolves. Not because she disliked them, no - they were like family to her. The family she never had. She only temporarily left because her heat had begun, and she didn't want to accidentally... well, reproduce, with any of the pack members. That would result in trouble for both Sky and the male. Plus, she didn't want to disappoint Spring. Or Heston, for that matter. The alphas would no doubt be furious if she came to them pregnant.

So, here she was, wandering around, searching for a decent place to hide away until the heat had passed. It would be a few days, though that was better than disturbing the whole pack with her heat-scent. But had she travelled too far? She had been exploring for over a day or two, that much was obvious, but so far she had not come into contact with any lone wolves, which was surprising - though definitely good. With a sigh, Skylaris padded across the Kinta Flatlands. She had no idea whether there were any packs here, but so far she had not caught the scent of a border.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 17, 2017

The flatlands were where Atshen found himself on this particular day, and he had wandered aimlessly for quite some time. Though he preferred the tangle that was his mother's woods, Atshen also found that there was much more fun to be had beyond the forest.

He stalked forward at a sloth-like pace, his eyes scanning the barren territory as he trudged. The snow was receding from the blizzard, yet it's presence on the land was undeniable. It seemed like the wolves of the Teekon would see snow for quite some time.

A north-bound wind crossed the large wolf suddenly, bringing the scent of the woman from the creek and the smell of her heat. He could feel his instinct perk at this moment and he paused as a result, turning to the far-off figure curiously. Though he wasn't one to go up and introduce him, he instead lingered, wondering what she was doing.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 17, 2017

Skylaris was beginning to finally drift off into sleep when she caught the scent of a stranger. Immediately her head shot up and her gaze swept around the area. When she spotted the dark figure, she almost jumped out of her skin. Well, she would have if she could. The woman stood up, her eyes narrowing, and gave a questioning tilt of her head. The dove had recognised the stranger as a male already. That was only because of his large size and he seemed muscular, at least from where she stood.

"Hello? Who are you?" She called, a hint of curiosity in her voice. Though there was also a smidge of worry - perhaps the male had heard it, perhaps not. Either way, if he even began to cause trouble then Sky would not hesitate to attack. Her heat had left her in a particularly bad mood.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 17, 2017

She called to him suddenly and he watched. Eventually, after a long pause, the brute took a step towards the woman and lifted a brow.

"Whose asking?" he countered, pulling himself to full height.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 17, 2017

Skylaris ignored the slight show of strength and narrowed her eyes further. "Me," she snorted, holding back a chuckle. The dove rolled her eyes, then shook her head. He was intimidating, in a way, but Sky often ignored any signs of aggression unless it was her own leaders that were showing them.

"I asked first."

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 17, 2017

Her reply smacked him across the nose and he grimmaced at her reply. Feeling something nasty rile up within him, the male pressed forward without another word, his eyes burning into his form as he advanced. He was a dangerous force to be reckoned with, especially with her heat scent revving his engines. He could not recognize the pack scent that she carried, nor did he particulary care, but he did take time to sample is and commit it to memory.

Soon enough he was before her, a quiet growl rubling as she stood over her. He did not speak, instead he stood over her menincly as if attempting to intimidate the answer out of her.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 17, 2017

Skylaris did not like how this meeting was going, but she also did not like how he was trying to intimidate her. She gave a flick of her tail, and a small growl rumbled from her throat. She did not like being dominated by a stranger, and her heat was making especially irritable. She had forgotten about how her scent might be affecting the male, it just didn't cross her mind.

"Are you trying to scare me?" She narrowed her eyes once more but remained stood where she was. "Because, honey, I think you'll have to try a little harder." Oh, for goodness sake. Her blasted heat was making her argumentative and sassy, too. After she said it, the dove realized she may have just unleashed hell on herself, but what did the male actually want from her? When Skylaris had first noticed him, he'd just been watching her. That's when she remembered her heat-scent. Perhaps that's what drew him in. If that's the case, I should be more careful.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

Atshen noticed almost instantly the change in the female once he had drawn closer. Seeing the whip-like movement of her tail and hearing the low growl, the Silencer feel a pang of satisfaction that his actions were able to affect her so quickly. This feeling only intensified as she spoke and a smirk fell upon his lips as he watched on. His tail lifted at that moment as if further asserting his dominance, and the man grew stiff in his posture as instinct drew him to his next move.

Despite the proximity in their closeness, Atshen reached out to swing the woman with a massive foreleg in an attempt to unbalance her. Even though he was outside of the tangle of his wooden home, the male demanded respect. Such respect had not been given, and Atshen's only course of action at this point was to beat it out of her.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

Skylaris growled again, but this time louder, in an attempt to further warn the male not to come closer. This, however, was ignored as he stuck out a foreleg to perhaps unbalance her. This, indeed, surprised her and she stumbled slighty, though remained standing. Another growl left her muzzle before she reached her head forward and snapped at the other wolf's face, aiming near his cheek, hoping to unsettle him slightly. If that did not work, she'd have to do more.

The woman rolled her eyes and gave an irritated flick of her tail. "And what exactly do you want?" She genuinely was curious. Had he been lured here by her heat-scent or was it something else?

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

There was something about the scent that she gave off that drove him mad. Since he had never had such an experience with such matters, the Silencer was oblivious to what this smell could be. All that he knew was that it burned his nostrils and drew him nearer. He was snapped out of these feeling as she countered his strike and he turned to her quickly as if he was brought back to reality.

Acting quickly on both instinct and her actions, Atshen growled deeply in turn of her words, not particularly caring to answer her. Then, with impulse driving him, Atshen did what he did best: start a fight. Rearing on his hind legs, the two-toned male stuck, hoping to bring the woman down by crashing upon her with two heavy forepaws.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

Skylaris noticed the pause, and she realised that this male probably didn't know the heat-scent based on his hesitation. She sighed and mumbled "Heat," then huffed. She was in no mood to argue with this boy about dominance or chat about the matters of her blasted hormones. Besides, whatever he might say, only Spring and Heston could demand anything of her.

The rear and clash of bodies was unexpected and Sky almost yelped at the sudden closeness of the ground. Whoever this male was, he was pretty darn strong. Her head came into contact with the cold, snow-topped flooring and she snapped her head round with a growl. He had pinned her, accidental or not, by crashing into her so suddenly. The woman gave a mighty shove with her hind paws in an attempt to throw him off, but she tried to add a bite or two in as well, to whatever part of the stranger that she could reach.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

The word "heat" had no effect on Atshen, nor did it tell him anything in particular. He had yet to receive the "birds and the bees" talk, and as such, the Silencer was unaffected by the word. Though he was confused when she uttered the word, he did not allow this to get in the way of his ultimate goal.

He landed successfully upon her back and out of habit; the boy slid his claws out so that he could keep a hold on her. Perhaps this fighting tactic would do him dirty in the future, but, thus far, the child had found much success in doing this. So, for now, he would go to this move in his sparring, as it had done him no wrong. It would only be when it was proven wrong that he would have to find another tactic.

Skylaris was quick to rebuttal as she bucked and he found himself winded at her movement. But instead of losing his grip, the man help on as he attempted to keep his hold. She struck again, this time on his forepaw and he winced. But instead of allowing the hot flash of pain get to him, the male lurched his jaw forward in hopes of latching onto the side of her neck.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

Skylaris felt a small surge of glee as she saw that her quick lunges had winded him slightly. Though it did little effect overall as the male continued to fight against her. Her head thrashed as she snarled, and with a wince she felt teeth scrape her neck. It was deep enough for her to feel the hot blood begin to drip down her fur, staining her usually silver pelt slightly red.

Again she lunged, once again pushing with her hind legs, but as an added bonus, she turned her head to the side to try and sink her teeth into one of his own forepaws. Perhaps then she could get him off her so that the fight might halt temporarily. She doubted it would fully stop until one of the two became victorious.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

He felt her blood begin to trickle into his mouth and it was with this that his motivation sparked. He was happy to have inflicted this type of injury upon her as she had been rude. Perhaps, he ventured, this would help her learn a lesson in respect. Atshen shook his head as he held onto her, hoping that he would inflict more pain as he did this.

He was painfully too involve in his thoughts to catch her lunging forward. Thrown off, he felt as she tore into his forepaw and he growled, with a mouth full of her scruff, and attempt to pull his paw away from her grab. Knowing that this would leave him vulnerable for her to imbalance him, he dug into her deeper with the claws that were still attached to her.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

Skylaris cringed as the pain grew, but instead of giving up she smirked. The woman had managed to startle him, and she used this to her advantage, pulling up her hind leg and giving a forceful kick, aiming for the boy's jaw. Her body had to twist in order to reach, since his muzzle was currently grabbing her scruff, but she believed she could just about get to him. Perhaps she could knock his jaw out of place, dislocate it, but she doubted she had the strength for that. It was always a possibility, though. It might at least get him off her neck.

The blood-stained dove was now beginning to pant, but she didn't allow her growing tiredness to affect her fighting. She was no warrior, that was for sure, but she still managed to hold her ground - even if it meant being wounded in the process. Though that didn't mean she hadn't lost battles before.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

Atshen grew more confident by the moment as he held onto he blood-stained throat. But it was in the midst in his retreating paw that she stuck his jaw with force. He let out a ferocious roar, letting go of her neck as anger filled his being. Scrambling above quickly, he reached forward, hoping to grab her foreleg.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

"Got ya," she grinned, though she knew she was tiring fast. She must still have been bleeding. Her grin turned into surprise as the stranger grabbed her hind leg. She had been in the process of drawing it back to her belly to go for another kick when he latched on. Whether or not the male had planned to catch this particular leg was unknown to her, but she grew slightly worried as he held on to it.

At least he no longer had a hold of her neck, which could do more damage than biting her leg, right?

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

Phone post! Sorry!

It seemed as though he was the one who had truly gotten her. Smiling darkly as she realized that she was trapped, Atshen began to tug sharply as he held on in hopes of causing her some major pain.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

Lmao, phone post from me too.

Skylaris cursed under her breath as the pain in her neck was replaced with pain in her leg. He was tugging, and he was smiling while doing so. Lousy brat. Just wait until I get my fangs on you. The thoughts in her mind were crushed once the pain in her hind leg increased and a gasp followed by a snarl left her jaws. The snap had been fairly loud. And the leg burned . "There, you broke the bone, you done now?" It was a plead of sorts, a begging for the excruciating pain to end, but she voiced it with a snap of her muzzle, eyes narrowed at the boy.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

The snapping of Skylaris' bone stirred a sense of pleasure within the male, and he looked up so that he looked into her sky-like eyes. He ignored her plea at the moment for his pleasure, knowing that he would not be letting go anytime soon. Clamping down harder, he kept his gaze locked to her and tugged aggressively, suddenly motivated by the snapping of her bone.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 19, 2017

With her plea ignored, Skylaris twisted and turned in an attempt to free herself. She already knew she couldn't reach the strangers face so she would have to make do with wriggling away. The woman began to urgently conjure a plan in her mind, but it was halted when she let out a scream of pain. Blood had already begun trickling down her leg, but that was not the cause of her distress. Her leg was being torn - literally torn - from her body. The hot red liquid was pooling underneath her but the pain did not stop. It only grew.

It did not take long for the male to release her leg finally. Or she thought so, until she looked down. A horrified gasp escaped her muzzle as she stared at the bloody leg on the ground. The leg that was no longer attached to her body.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 19, 2017

Atshen held on as though he was holding off for his life, his teeth ripping into her further as he attempted to hold his own. At this point in their fight, he was unsure where it would go from here. After all, he was at an advantage as she was unable to strike from where she was. For quite some time, Atshen continued to tug on her leg relentlessly. He wasn't sure of when he would let go, but, regardless, he kept on diligently.

The only other time that Atshen had removed a limb was when he had decapitated Bramble, and he often reflected upon the feeling. Honestly, at the moment in which he killed Bramble, the male felt as though he would never feel that way again. Apparently, Atshen was mistaken in thinking this.

Her leg detached with a satisfying snap and Atshen stumbled back a few steps as a result of the aftershock of the detaching of her limb. He did not recognize it instantly and have to look from her to the leg that he still held. Finally, when he realized what he had done, Atshen smiled darkly and lowered his muzzle to the ground to place the limb in the snow. Once it was situated, Atshen lifted his muzzle as a rush of pride overcame him, and eventually, he stood tall as he smiled towards her with his blood stained lips.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 20, 2017

Skylaris stared at the detached limb with an expression filled with both shock and pure anger. He took her leg. And boy was she pissed. "You....." she hissed, lashing her tail. "I'm not done with you yet. Oh, you've got another think coming. Sure, I may be in no position to fight you myself, but I have a friend that just so happens to be a mecenary. He also is at least double your size, so I'd be worried if I was you. Mark my words, when he gets his claws on you there won't be a single bone left unbroken."

The pain was still there, though. It was a sharp, burning pain that refused to leave her be. The blood rushed out of the stump, the stump that was the remainder of her leg. The thick liquid pooled by her tail, tinting the snow bright red. It was a sight, for sure. Sky had not expected this boy to be as strong as he was, but that didn't been she would be in awe of him. No, anything but.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Atshen’s Ghost - February 20, 2017

Her words meant nothing to the Silencer and as she hissed he watched. Her words came in the way of a threat, and Atshen stifled the amusement that filled him. This feeling was coupled with pride which peaked at the moment that Skylaris replied. He looked at her, thoughtful, as he held his silence for a moment and in this time he drew his tongue over his lips.

"I'd be worried if I were you," he countered darkly with a click of his tongue. He was not there to offer any sentiments and, instead, he found that his time with the sea-eyed woman was over. He bowed to pick up the woman's detached leg, locking his eyes with hers for one last moment before turning and departing the scene.

He was sure that mother would appeeciate this prize and he would present it to her once he returned home. In the mean while, the child rode out the wave of adhreline that he consumed him, feeling quite invincible as he storde away.

RE: Should've stayed at home... - Skylaris - February 20, 2017

I'll go ahead and archive this!

Skylaris felt herself grow more and more angry with the male, and before he left she spat out a few more words - as much as she could manage.

"Remember... the name... Skylaris. One day it'll come back to haunt you. This isn't the last time we will meet."
