A light-emitting crescent moon - Koume - February 21, 2017 In the stillness of night did Koume wake, shaking her messy fur as she stood up. She did not realize winter was almost over and could not remember exactly how long she had slept. She felt hot - she felt flaming, and she needed to do something now. It was no surprise that the oldest sibling would be one of the feisty ones when not with her sister, and mother really should've expected this a long time ago; little Koume escaped. She crawled out whatever den she was in, wandering on her own just ready to be found.
RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Vandal - March 28, 2017 Luminous blue eyes peered tiredly ahead as the male strolled through the night, his strides were casual and slow as he found himself incapable of sleep. He wasn't even sure where his paws were taking him, but the Tyro knew he couldn't remain within the confines of his den. Normally, slumber came easy to the male, but for some unusual reason, tonight, Vandal's mind refused to shut off, so as he aimlessly wondered, he would grumble slightly with his silver and white tail thrashing behind him. As Vandal roamed, the familiar aroma of Potema caught his attention, causing him to come to a gradual halt. The source of this familiar scent seemed to be growing stronger by the second up a head, so with his nostrils flaring, Van slowly lowered his head, bright sapphire eyes instantly searching for the seemingly small approaching figure. RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Koume - April 10, 2017

The forest was a dark abyss in the time that followed day - the little flame walked 'neath the pale light of the moon peacefully rather than raging. It was a rare sight, seeing Azura this calm and focused, but it was necessary for her escape. Whether she was actually planning on leaving the save clutches of the Woods was even a question to her; she had no idea what one could do when not trapped in a den with sleeping siblings and a slumbering sack of white fur. Her back curved ever so gently, wanting to feel big like the trees and the many others she had seen, but to no avail. She was and would remain little for some time.
Soft pawsteps reached her sensitive puppy ears and blue eyes scattered across the black of night. She had slowed to a stop, looking around warily. This wasn't good - she had to hide, and quick! Tiny feet carried her to a random bush that blended well with her silver-streaked fur and she closed her eyes. With her muzzle, she flung some dirt on her pelt, hopefully covering her scent, and her breathing slowed. Was it mother? No, how could that woman be out here looking for her while having other kids to attend to and needing a night worth of sleep? This had to be one of Them - one of whom she longed to be.

RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Vandal - April 12, 2017 sorry for the crumby post x3
White paws strolled forward through the dark, the Tyro's leathery nose to the ground as he searched onward through the forest. And as he roamed, the brute's bright eyes flickered eerily in the shadows, his cold stare being illuminated briefly by the dense light of the moon that managed to pierce through the thick canopy overhead. Stealthily, Vandal's silver and ivory form slithered quietly below, creeping through the territory as his leathery nostrils flared - chasing the familiar scent further into the night. That is until it vanishes. The male approached the area curiously, head rising from the ground as sapphire eyes examined the perimeter, ”Hm.” Van shifted himself on the spot as he stared around him, the scent seeming to end close by and his gaze eventually averts to a shrub, one located to the side of him. Taking his time with every step, Vandal edged closer to the shrub and when he was close enough, the silver and white brute gently poked at it with his nose. RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Koume - April 15, 2017

Her breathing slowed significantly and her darker ears draped over her small skull. It was strange, considering she was not shaking with fear like most children would be at this point. Azura was as calm as night itself; shocked and alert, yes, but never scared. It was then that she started to retreat, her paws landing on the ground as if they were mere clouds. Her form was swift to say the least as she turned without breaking a twig - instead letting the branches puncture her skin as she bit through the uncomfortable feeling. She was in no hurry anyway and she quite liked sneaking around in the dead of night.
Just as she had shifted far enough from the outer side of the bush did a nose poke in and her breath stocked soundlessly. If she had not been a born spy, she would've slapped the stranger's muzzle but knew how to keep herself hidden. She retreated further, going out through the back with mere rusting that could've been the soft wind going through it. She relocated herself calmly and hid herself in yet another bush - this one bigger and easily less dense. Flinging some more forest-bedding on her coat, she waited, quite liking this "game".

RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Vandal - April 25, 2017 Leaves brushed against his muzzle as he continued to poke his nose into the bush, leathery nostrils flaring as he detected the faint scent of the one he was pursuing, though the unique smell was suddenly masked by the aromas of the forest floor, dirt mingled with the strong earthly smell of the woods. But still, Van continued to prod at the flora, his cold blue eyes closing as he managed to plunge his head deeper into the shrub, though only to reopen them to peer around inside at nothing, just a tangled mess of protruding twigs and roots. The look of disappointment was plain across his face as he retreated his head from the empty shrub, an unkept tail swaying curiously behind him as his silver ears began to pivot a top his head, carefully listening to the noises around him. The brute stared suspiciously into the darkness, his head tilting at times to the sound of rustling leaves as they began to dance all around him, swaying in the gentle force of the winds that now swept through the woods. A smile grew across Vandal's lips as his white socked paws began to shift upon the ground, the young brute slowly slinking his way into the shadows as he searched for the seemingly cunning youth. He strolled idly with his nose to the ground and step by step trailed his way around the towering trees, his cold eyes examining the undergrowth as he continued to search for the mischievous spiderling. RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Koume - April 28, 2017

While it was not her mission to run away from the wolves of the woods, it was, however, her mission to train and become better. Already had she noticed the structure of the pack and had studied their standings - sensing the instability of it all and the tension that came from all the dark beings in one place. As long as she did her job extremely well, there was no possible way she could not rise in the hierarchy that fuelled every action. A cunning smirk upon her face, she shifted yet again - making a quick break for the entrance of their tunnel system. Having been there a few times, she knew the way relatively well enough in the darkness that came with the night. Whether the stalking entity behind her followed was not her concern anymore - she would navigate soundlessly through their many tunnels which would ultimately give her the victory she so deserved; freedom and the praise from a superior.

RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Vandal - May 10, 2017 A low rumble sounded within his throat as he slunk through the forest, his cold sapphire gaze focusing on the darkness ahead as he manoeuvred his way around the trees and shrubs. And as he moved, there seemed to be no sign of the crafty spiderling around and now, Vandal thought himself to be searching in vain. His dirty socked paws came to a gradual halt and the brute now stood, still within the darkness of the wood, that is, until the male decided to sniff the air, thinking he'd lost the child's trail entirely. Slowly, the tyro turned his head as the cold nightly winds blew through the territory, leathery nostrils flaring as the aromas of the forest filled his nose and finally, the faint whiff of Potema's offspring as he lowered his snout to the ground, her scent leading back through the entrance to the tunnel systems. Van stared at the entrance, paws shifting him forward as he gaze into the black abyss of the tunnels, allowing a devilish smirk to creep its way across his maw, ”Well played lil'one.” He whispered to himself, tail giving an amused flick behind him as he ventured after the sneaky little rogue and back into the tunnels. RE: A light-emitting crescent moon - Koume - May 12, 2017

Surely she had lost him - surely he had not ventured after her into the darkness that was only battled with the faint light of glow-worms. Her pelt had gotten damp from the wetness of the tunnels and her scent ultimately grew stronger; wet wolf was not a very pleasant smell and would therefore stand out among the stale air that filled the tunnels. Still did she sneak around and try to find another entrance; she didn't know the tunnels as well as she thought, but probably a lot better than her stalker.
