Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - February 23, 2017 Though she was loath to go any further inland than she was currently, Maude found herself adjusting. Slightly. She still longed for the sea, for the wild freedom she had as a pirate, even as a part of Saltwinter. But her loyalty to Kjalarr, a crippling thing, anchored her in Neverwinter instead, and she found herself drifting inland. Dirt never stuck well with her. It was too fine, prone to becoming mud. Sand was sleek and slippery, the water sliding through instead of remaining trapped. She was reminded of this as she stepped into the meadow, still damp from the melting snow, a grimace of disgust as she felt the ground squelch underneath her weight. What was she even doing here? RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Ikari - February 26, 2017 It was quiet, peaceful and it seemed that nothing could possibly upset the perfect balance of the world. Then there came a rumbling, and a crashing, and a howl of glee. A moment of silence, and then, racing like a fiery comet, Ikari. He dashed through the meadow, gold fur and even brighter golden eyes shining, tail flailing behind him like a flag. His tongue lolled over his teeth, and his breath came in ragged gasps. He was pushing himself as hard as he could, legs pumping, chest heaving. The wind rushed by his ears, and he howled again. The rock appeared seemingly out of nowhere. In an instant, Ikari had tripped, staggered, and crashed head-first into the earth. His legs still kicked, running on their own momentum, and the earth churned beneath his writhing paws. When the dust had settled and his body had finally stopped moving, Ikari raised his head. "Wow." he grunted, righting himself. He licked his nose and came away with the taste of blood. The world spun for a moment, then stilled. Ikari stood and turned to face the rock, a scowl on his lips. He bared his teeth and rammed it with his broad head, yowling and falling back when he made impact. "Good job." he said, speaking to the rock, "You tripped me up this time. It won't happen again." He turned and limped off, muttering a soft, "fuck you" to the rock, still dizzy, nose bleeding, and now with a massive headache. That was fun. Wandering, at a much slower and calmer pace this time, Ikari raised his muzzle to the air. Someone's scent had drifted towards his nostrils, and those piercing golden eyes narrowed ever so slightly. It didn't take long for him to find the source of said scent, and he parted his jaws to shout to the stranger. "Oi, what're ya doin'?" He called out again as he trotted closer. "Who're you?" RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - February 27, 2017 Except from her paws squelching, there is little sound. Maude is left to her thoughts for a moment, which isn't always the best thing for a half???? madwoman. She thinks of Ondine and her brat, wonders for Kjalarr, her thoughts racing between sex and violence, as it usually did when involved with her love and his loves. She ponders thier future, even as her paws become engulfed in dirt and mud. But then there was a howl nearby, and Maude froze, her body turning towards her, bent in a fighting stance as she scanned the area. Her golden eyes lock on the golden wolf, the body tangled in the dirt, slowly rising. There was blood, which Maude snorted at. It reminded her of so long ago, when a coyote tossed rocks at her, scarring her muzzle. At least now there was no annoying creature, but simply Mother Nature fucking with them. As She usually did. The bleeding wolf asked who she was and what she was doing, quite bluntly, she might add. She was perturbed, but made little comment. Oi'm walkin' 'round 'ere. Ain't much else,She responses, giving the wolf a once over. The body suggested masculinity, but a quick glance near his crotch suggested otherwise. It felt strange not being the only one anymore, but she wasn't sure how to go about it. What if this wolf did identify as a she. Then what? Now she felt how everyone must feel when she came around. Me name's Maude. Who're you? RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Ikari - February 27, 2017 Ikari made his way closer before plopping his rump on the ground beside the girl, paying no mind about how close he was. He notices her gaze scouring over his body and his paws inch over to cover his crotch, although not a word is spoken about it. He gives her a nod before his lips turn up the slightest in a smile. "That's fair, that's fair." He pauses for a moment before speaking his name."'M Ikari. Pleased to make your acquaintance," he says, and bows as best as he can while sitting down, one paw lifted up to his chest for emphasis. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - March 04, 2017 He gets in close, for some reason, but Maude pays it no mind, instead wondering the reason behind the closeness in the first place. She blinks for a moment, giving him another once over before she speaks up. Ye was born a woman, eh?She asked bluntly, without any disgust or anger. She asks purely for clarification, but forgets to mention that she was born a man, waiting for him to respond instead. If she was smarter, or more considerate, she would have thought that maybe, just maybe, that such a question might be as much as a trigger for him as it was for her. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Ikari - March 05, 2017 "Bullshit." was the first word that escaped Ikari's mouth, "I'm a boy. See? I just said it. That makes it so." as if to prove his point, he coughed up a wad of phlegm and spit it off to the side, "I'm manly. Manly as hell. I bet my balls are bigger 'an any man's around 'ere." "Suck it, bitch," he said, feeling a bit better. "One hundred percent boy." Ikari huffed. "And maybe I just have a pretty voice. Ya ever think of that? Some dudes don't sound dudeish. That's normal. It's called growin' up." A girl! Ha! Silly! Perish the thought! He fell quiet for a moment, closing those golden eyes of his. "Well, asswipe. What now?" A few deep breaths and Ikari was feeling relatively better. The other wolf before him was indeed correct, however. He had been born a woman, but god be damned if he'd admit it. Ikari saw himself as a boy in every sense of the word, and no one could tell him otherwise. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - March 14, 2017 Maude cackled throughout the boy's tirade. It reminded her so much of herself; it was almost like looking into a mirror. Trying everything she could to prove that she was indeed female. It was strange how much they parallelled each other. Nah mate, it's cool,She stood up, raising one leg to expose her marred crotch. Look mate. I'm a woman through and through, but I's was born in a man's body, understand? It was one of the only times she would ever admit such a thing, but she felt some kind as if this guy was a kindred spirit. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Ikari - March 19, 2017 sorry, phone post ew
Ikari shoots a glare at the other as they seemingly laugh at him but the harsh look quickly dissipates. "Oh," is all he says for a moment before he gives the woman a nod. "Yeah, yeah it get it." Ikari is quiet for a moment before giving her a sheepish grin from his earlier outburst. "Ah, my bad, I guess." RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - April 06, 2017 I'm so sorry I've been inactive for a bit hnnnggh @Ikari
She is lucky she's able to distill the tension between them. It felt strange to simply admit that, to acknowledge something she had long since ignored and avoided. But at least with him she could admit it. Because he would understand at least. Nah mate, it's good. She smirked, shrugging casually. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Ikari - April 08, 2017 oh gosh, as have i
The golden wolf glances at the female, an intrigued look placed upon his features. He'd never met anyone like himself before, and maybe, just maybe he wanted to know more. Still feeling a bit embarassed about his earlier fit of anger, Ikari squished his ears against his head and scrunched up his nose the slightest bit before speaking once more. "Where're ya' from, if I might ask? It's not everywhere I meet someone, ah, so similar to me." His broad shoulders lift in a brief, nonchalant shrug. Now that he thought about it, Ikari, despite being female, looked more masculine than anything. Not that he wanted to change such a thing. RE: Life begins when you know how it ends - Maude - April 30, 2017 Tortuga,She recalls her birthplace with a burst of pride, depsite all the hardships that had befallen her then. I think ye'd like it dere, mate. Full o' pirates and fighters n' such,Far removed from the rather peaceful and boring packs here. There weren't enough skirmishes to keep her busy and interested. It's down south a way's, 'long t'coast,She wondered how it had been over the months. It seemed so long since she set eyes on the place. Where're ye from? |
