We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.. - Sylvas Streiter - March 03, 2017

A short travelling thread to.. well, I don't quite know yet! x3 @Heartha @Kieran Adrien @Hawthorn

They'd finally left the glacier behind and Eden, journeying away from their short-lived home and were now trekking across the outer lands of the terrain, venturing onward in hopes to find a permanent place they could call home.

As time passed, the glacier was completely out of eyes view and Sylvas let out long sigh, his tail swaying behind him as he turned his head to look over the small group, his golden eyes peered to Heartha, the only other adult left within the diminished pack and the brute offered her a small smile, ”We'll keep to a slow pace as not to burn too much energy for now..” He called to her softly, his gaze returning to the route ahead as his golden eyes stared cautiously around at the forest.

The mercenary came to a slow halt, standing silently as he waited for the others to catch up, ”If we continue onward through the forest, we might be lucky enough to even find a meal on our travels.” The male licked his muzzle, tail giving a flick behind him as he assumed they were probably just as hungry as he was.

RE: We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.. - Heartha - March 03, 2017

Heartha's mood had been down the entire time. Tulip she could not find, Bramble was gone as well. Everyone but Sylvas and the two pups with them was all she had of the past. Something she now just wanted to forget So much heartache was pushing her down.

And yet, Sylvas still managed to put on a smile. She put one on as well, a bit more forced than she had hoped. The suggestion was sound.

And the word 'meal' made her stomach rumble. "I hope we can find one soon" she said, glancing back at the pups. They would no doubt be starving as well. And she put their lives before her own, they were priority.

Tbh, I think they could start another pack if they got enough members. Otherwise, perhaps Moonspear is a good choice? They don't seem to have an overload of members, unlike many of the packs at the moment haha.

Kieran trailed behind his father and Heartha. At four months old, the boy was becoming more and more mature. His adult pelt was also continuing to grow through, giving him a cute ruffled look. His eyes were a deep green, all signs of the previous blue gone. They held a new spark - a spark of hope perhaps. The former hier was adamant that they would find another home. One where they could truly live. One that wasn't going to disband or die out. Nor be attacked.

"How much longer?" he asked, glancing up at Sylvas. Kieran was not the impatient type, he just simply did not know where they were going, or how long it would take. He liked to know those sorts of things.

The boy also stole a glance at Hawthorn, wondering how he was doing. He knew what it was like without a sister there. Especially one that had been there all the time.

RE: We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.. - Hawthorn Charley - March 23, 2017

Hawthorn was quiet as the four of them walked. His mind was far away, wandering the slopes of memory lane - silently, he remembered those days where he lazed around in the den, watching with amusement as his brother and his sister fought and bickered. He remembered feeling superior to them, remembered how he thought them to be silly, and couldn't wait to be rid of them. Now, now that all his family members had disappeared...only now did Hawthorn realise how much he actually cared and loved them.

And God, how he missed them.

But he couldn't think about them. Not now. Now, surrounded by strangers, bar Kieran, he had to be strong. He needed to be strong.

Although Hawthorn remained silent, he flashed Kieran a reassuring smile, then silently wondered how he managed to do so when he felt anything but reassured.

Sorry for the lateness! @Heartha @Hawthorn @Kieran Adrien

Sylvas glanced to Heartha as she spoke, his ears twitching some as he offered the silver woman a simple nod of his head, ”As do I.” He replied softly, allowing a long sigh to escape his leathery lips as he gradually glanced across the new terrain. There were packs within the lands, a few days journey maybe, but on empty stomachs, getting to them was going to be a whole other story.

”I'm not sure, son.” He said as he peered down to look to Kieran, ”But hopefully we will find somewhere soon.” Sylvas added with a slight, reassuring smile as he turned his head to look to Heartha and Hawthorn, ”But until then, let us focus on finding a bite or two to fuel us for the long journey ahead.” He licked his maw and offered them another smile, ”Keep a nose out and I'm sure we'll find something.” Sylvas instructed as he lowered his head to the floor, nostrils flaring as he began scenting the ground for any game lingering nearby as his large paws guided him carefully and slowly through the wood.

Heartha managed a small smile, although it was rather forced and stretched further than she meant it to be like. She meant it as a side of some sort of sign of comfort. She wondered for a time how long it would actually take to reach a new home. Without them coming to their end.

Sylvas said to keep a nose out for some prey, but she had never been the best of hunters. She did not say so, however. Heartha did not want to bring about any doubt among their little group. "I'll keep my nose up..." she said quietly. If anything was to happen that threatended the children, she would put herself first. Such as a hunt going wrong. And she was one to sometimes doubt.

Soz for the tinsy reply

Kieran returned the smile to Hawthorn, giving a small hopeful wag of his tail before his gaze found Sylvas once more. "Okay. I hope we find somewhere soon..." He just wanted a safe haven. He had not found one as of yet, and he felt like now he needed one. He needed the comfort of a nice warm home, where he could trust everyone and he could be safe. Where nobody would steal the home and nobody would die. At least, not like Eden had.

He allowed a drawn-out sigh to escape his mouth, gold eyes closing for only a second as he strolled onward through the forest. Hopefully they would come across something soon, fuel was needed for heir near empty stomachs, especially with the amount of travelling they would have to endure before finding a suitable place to call home.

Brown ears arched forward as he caught sound of the other's voices and Sylvas turned to each of them and offered a nod of his head, along with an encouraging smile, ”We'll get some way through the forest before taking a rest.” He suggested as he strolled onward, leading the way through the wood as he continued to keep a look out for any sign of easy game.

Maybe we can fade it here, you guys can make another post if you want with them just venturing through the forest.
