open, but hoping for @Hemithea !!

now, Galateia worked her muscles by digging; she sought to bring to the island herbs that were not already here. she had brought gifts from the monoliths to deposit into the earth to bring new herbal life to this place. but the digging was slow for her, painful. her breathing was labored, and the pale pearl knew that though the task would take any one else thirty minutes, she would likely finish by nightfall. twas noon, now. but she did not ask for aid, as this was another way for her to heal. she worked her muscles, slowly pulling at the pliant earth.

RE: after mood and weather, in the waves you will float - RIP Hemitheia - March 13, 2017

ngl i had a heart attack thinking this was THE galateia - but im also super excited its you too!!

She fled from the coast as soon as the winds stopped whipping the sea in to a frenzy. It had been as if the Mother rose up against her specifically, knowing that Hemithea was unsure of her place among her sisters. But even with the sea in such a vitriolic state, Hemithea would not be deterred — she sought the island where she'd first met Gabe, swimming against the currents for a few perilous hours until she dragged her sorry self on to the bank. While the girl's first visit had been quick and easy, this one was the antithesis -- she was drenched, panting hard, and sagging against the rocky shore with her silver-tipped fur hanging off of her body in ragged clumps. Hemithea could feel her heart pounding. Her pulse was fast, throbbing just beneath the surface of her skin; but she turned to regard the path behind her, and sneered triumphantly as if to say, So there, Mother.
