and I hope to god the time ain't wrong cause I can't be hanging on like this for long - Rian - March 24, 2017

As per these threads, Rian is dispersing from Neverwinter Forest. @Kaskara @Eimear

As the daylight faded from the overcast sky, Rian approached the small meadow he'd called home his entire life. He looked upon the spring grasses, and recalled a time not so long ago when he could find himself lost in the towering waves of gold and green. Now he stood high above them, bulked out from a tough winter and his growing body, no longer the boy he once wished he could be again. There was no place in the world for that child anymore, because he now faced the reality of his decisions. Perhaps it would be easier to stomach this conversation if he was young again.

He came to a stop just beyond the den entrance and splayed his ears against his ruff. The sight and smell was overwhelming, and he nearly broke beneath the weight of his burden. But he shored up his stance and issued a soft chuff to whomever was in earshot. A large part of him wanted to invite his siblings and, indeed, even his mother, but he wasn't certain of their opinion anymore. In truth, he didn't know how they viewed their reclusive brother anymore, though @Dublin was just as much a ghost on the fringes of their life.

But there was no turning back now, so he stood patiently by to see if anyone was home to greet him.

Eimear wasn't far from the meadow, so it didn't take her long to reach her brother's side. And as soon as she did, her ears flattened on her head, and her tail tucked beneath her. There was something wrong here, some tension she had never felt before. Worry in her eyes, Eimear slunk to her brother's side and reached up to lick his chin, to wrap herself around him like they usually did in greeting. But he was stiff and immediately she took a step back, a whine slipping through her lips.

Rian, what's wrong? she asked softly, ducking her head toward his paws. Never would she guess that he was about to leave Neverwinter Forest. If she did, Eimear wouldn't be any better for the warning. She wouldn't know what to do - be angry at him or go with him - so it was just as well that she was none the wiser. For now.

Gonna continue with this. Feel free to pop in, fam.

Eimear, aiming to please, approached the meadow with her ears and tail lowered. She twined and twisted around him in greeting, only serving to swell the lump forming in his throat when she draws away suddenly. He knows that she knows; her sensitivity to emotions was greater even than his own, and the way her eyes flash when they settle on his own reveals the true depth of her uncertainty. He hadn't wanted it like this, but there was no controlling it now. The cards were on the table, and the chips were down—Cypress and Rannoch were waiting for him and the longer he lingered, the harder it was on his resolve.

He whined and splayed his ears, but remained firmly rooted in place. He wanted to reach out and sooth her woes, but nothing could possibly smooth over what he was about to say. He sucked in a breath and looked around, but found no reason to hold it back any longer. Dublin, Szabala and his own mother hadn't appeared yet, and though he was loathed to repeat himself, he would for their sake. "I'm leaving Neverwinter." He said in a rush though his eyes shot up to her own as if to beg her pardon. "with Cypress and Rannoch. He came back and now that winter is over we figured it might be better to find our own way... it just isn't the same here anymore, Eimy."
