Fishing is key - Sebastian - March 31, 2017 Sebastian knew that his young weren't that young anymore, soon they would be adults, and he hadn't spend much time learning them a very important tradition. Water was a big theme in their territory. Sebastian loved water and, of course, to fish. He taught Odette how to fish around this age, perhaps even earlier. Sebastian went to fisherman's fen, where the water was clear and fishing would be easier. He howled for his children. Hopefully they would show some interest in what their father wanted to teach them. Plus he wanted to spend some quality time with all of them. Maybe one would have the Rochester fishing genes. RE: Fishing is key - Nova - April 05, 2017 The howl had pulled her from the borders, where she'd been out looking - not for anything in particular, admittedly, but it'd been good exercise. Since spring had begun Nova had spent more time out of the densite out mapping and scouting the stars and was beginning to notice certain things. The stars were much the same, in some ways. She'd see the same ones at certain points and they shifted slowly - but together. Like their pack. All different identities but together they were something else that was beautiful.
Nova changed her course and headed to her father, bumping her snout against his chin pleasantly before she peered towards the water. "Papa," She greeted warmly, tail giving a few wags before she returned her gaze to his expectantly; she'd always been a curious sort and was wondering what he'd brought them here for.
RE: Fishing is key - Ben - April 09, 2017

He had grown. Every time he looked in the water, seeing his own reflection, did he notice it. Even his fur had changed to an icy hue; he had not escaped winter, he had become it. Today, he went to check again; out of curiosity and fear. This time he noticed something different; why was his belly so round? Could it be? Had he become like a pregnant mother now, fat and round but without the babes? He frowned. Surely this wasn't good, he sighed. He had to do something about this; no more snacks, only dinner and more exercise. Perhaps he'd go with his sister more often to run or scout; walk the borders like he saw so many do.
The howl was unexpected and unpleasant; now that he was ashamed of his rolls he didn't want to face anyone until it was all gone. This, however, he knew to be impossible. Besides... They were family, right? And they loved him for the Benjamin he was. With a new hope sparking deep within his round body did he trot; soon running like never before. His tongue lolled out of his mouth as he did so; his breathing became irregular and his legs were burning. There he saw them; his father and Nova, and he smiled brightly.
But he wasn't paying much attention to where he ran now. Tripping over a sunken log did he fell; face-first against the soggy grounds of Broken Antler Fen. He pulled his head of the mud embarrassedly, looking up to see if anyone had noticed. He scampered up with much effort and walked the rest of the way with his tail between his legs.
Daaaadd...He greeted when he was close enough. He gave Nova a nuzzle to her shoulder. Nooovaa...

|
