The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams - Isora - April 07, 2017 Aching, white socked paws travelled onward as tired blue eyes observed her new surroundings, the girl having ventured through the vast terrain of tall grass, to eventually arrive here, at the bay. The skies were painted a mixture of blues with a warm shade of gold as the rising sun began to loom over the earth. A dry leathery nose twitched as the salty aroma of the ocean was brought to her by the swift coastal air current, her light fur bristling at its cold touch. And as she approached, Isora's eyes widened as the sea slowly came into view. Quietly, she stood, her dirty blonde tail wagging gently behind her as she peered to the line where the long grasses separated and hesitantly, one white paw touched the sand, the young girl's light ears pivoting at the tranquil sound of the ocean's waves lapping at the shores in the distance. A broader smile managed its way across her off white muzzle as she began to explore the new area, blue eyes looking over the bay curiously, excitement filling her as she took in the refreshing change of scenery. The other places she had roamed, with the tall grass had been interesting and all, but to Isora, this place seemed to hold a much bigger promise for a more thrilling adventure. And as she was trapped in awe, she carelessly wandered the bay, socked paws carrying her upon sand, to then come to another split, were the sand merged into soft, emerald colored grass. Inquisitively, Isora stared at the ground, though she gradually managed to bring her focus back to her surroundings, bright eyes noticing that she was now under a small, hidden forest beside the sea. She paused, ears swivelling atop her head, listening to the waves of the ocean as she continued to stare into the forest, completely fascinated, till she turned to glance back the way she had entered. RE: The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams - Embry - April 07, 2017 Hello!
Embry's thoughts had been elsewhere for the majority of the day, so that even as the crooning wind beckoned him to the shore, he would only sit and stare at his paws. He had been born with this aura of self-composed humility and reverence, but sometimes it grew to be a short trait among his wilder aspirations. It was useless trying to believe that he had done more than become an imperious weight upon the world and nothing more. Ostensibly, he had believed that perhaps the seaside would comfort him. And while he deeply enjoyed the beautiful, shimmering cerulean waves, he could not ignore the underlying sense of cavernous obsolescence. Beneath him, his honey-golden paws looked surprisingly large. He had never inspected himself with such harsh assiduity, and, in effect, had temporarily forgotten that he was still so young. The Teekon Wilds had taken many a thing from him, including his sense of spry, it seemed. But, then again, it took more than just good humor to earn prestige in the Fen. The byproducts of pack mentality were often just as lacking as they were benevolent to a man's esteem. So it was that when he first spotted the sandy female trailing along his newfound cove, he was filled with a new ambiguity of emotions: exuberance and cynicism. Sea-green orbs hardened, he stepped out of the copse of flaxen palms with genuine care, hoping not to startle the stranger. Despite his skepticism, he always held a certain politeness that simply could not be deluged. "Fancy seeing something new around here." He kept his voice cool, if not somewhat detached. There was a warmth in his tone, nonetheless, that followed in his cordial gaze. He kept his stance respectful, tail brushing the sand with rythmic strides, golden coat rolling across his muscular length with no sign of hostility. This was not his territory, anyhow, and she hardly looked menacing. "Enjoying the view? I must say, it certainly attracts those of idyllic nature. You can call me Embry... I live around here, for the moment." He wasn't lying. It appealed to him how similar their features were in terms of color, both in fur and gaze. He had never met someone so serene near the ocean, so befitting with the scenery. RE: The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams - Isora - April 08, 2017 Hello! Thank you for joining :3 I do apologise for this post x3
Isora was lost in her own world as she gazed into the vibrant green forest, blue eyes looking around in wonder at the beautiful surroundings she'd stumbled upon. It was all new and enthralling to the girl who was a complete stranger to these lands and a smile crawled its way across her muzzle as she silently admired the once concealed scene before her. Continuously, blonde ears pivoted atop her head as she listened to the calming sound of the sea, that is, until the gentle lapping of the waves were broken by the unexpected sound of a masculine voice. Instantly the girl's body went rigid and Isora felt her fur bristle slightly about her neck, heart gradually pounding more within her chest before she finally decided to turn herself and face the wolf. The girl's bright sapphire eyes soon fell upon a surprisingly similar colored male. She stood silent, awkwardly looking at the male as her bushy tail swished behind her nervously, the young female's mind scrambling on something to say, though when he spoke next, her lips curved into a friendly smile, ”I am.” She replied merrily to his question, offering the other a wag of her tail before adding, ”It's beautiful, I have to say.” She smiled again, though her ears arched forward when he introduced himself as Embry and Isora gave her head a polite nod before giving him her own, ”I'm Isora and I didn't mean to intrude.” Her tone was soft and apologetic as she shifted on her white socked paws, backing away slightly as her blue eyes remained on Embry's own, ”If this is your home, I can always leave..” She said, ”I'm new to the area and I'm just taking in the sights as I roam.” Isora explained as she peered quietly down to her paws. RE: The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams - Embry - April 08, 2017 No, it's a pleasure! He nodded as she complimented the vast shore's beauty, sea-green orbs dancing amiably. She certainly was friendly in comparison to his past experience with wolves of his age - brutal and harsh; undeniably determined - and therefore she was a rather intriguing companion. "Isora?" He rolled the word across his lips. It felt good on his tongue, a sensation similar to that of chanting the words of an ancient prayer. "It's a pleasure to meet you." His thoughts were trained primarily on the word's various characteristics when her voice broke through his inner-station, static until he tipped his gaze back upwards and returned his focus to the elegant figure. He watched in silence as she shuffled her paws, awkwardly edging farther away. It was somewhat alarming to Embry, who would have much rather preferred the opposite in terms of action. "It isn't my home..." A brief flash of pain jolted through his core at the notion of his origins. He did not let it last long, though a sore coldness tinged in the depths of his gaze. It took a few moments for him to recollect himself, tired from the morning's hunt and somber from the sudden revitalization of the one subject he had struggled to avoid. She didn't get far before he spoke again, this time with a much lighter tone. "If... If it's sights you'd like, I might know a place or two. There is a cove nearby that I can show you." He kept his gaze impassive, hoping not to bear too much weight on the woman. He didn't want to impose a sense of necessity, no matter what he personally thought on the matter. RE: The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams - Isora - April 12, 2017 The blonde girl watched the male curiously, but cautiously, her ears twitching as he repeated her name and Isora replied simply, ”Yes.” Her tone was soft, but she knew best then to let her guard down, having made the same mistake a few times before in the past. And as she moved, her light tanned, bushy tail swayed behind her in the coastal wind as she kept her sapphire eyes on the similar hued male. Slowly, Isora's head lifted some as she listened to Embry's words, ”Likewise.” She offered with a smile, her windswept tail giving a friendly shake. Though soon, her head tilted slightly as she caught his next words and the girl ceased all movement, gradually coming to a halt. ”Oh.” Isora replied as her stare averted to the ground, the girl suddenly getting the feeling that she'd insulted the man and tanned ears flicked back against her head, ”I didn't mean to upset you.” She started, head lifting as she glanced to Embry sheepishly, ”I haven't got a home either, if that helps?” Isora mentioned with a tilt of her head, the girl deciding to slowly lower herself down to sit upon her haunches, rather than retreat, blonde tail curling about her white paws as she quietly poked at the soft grass beneath her. As his voice sounded, her head jerked, the she wolf listening to Embry's proposal, intrigued, her blue eyes stared at him for the moment till she finally spoke, ”Sure, it'd be nice to have the company for once.” Isora said with a smile, ”Though I was planning on grabbing something to eat soon.” She mentioned, this time with a half smile and her tanned ears twitched as she listened to the distant sound of the sea, ”Maybe if you're hungry, we could do a little fishing?” The blonde she wolf suggests, ”I'm not brilliant, but I'm determined.” A small laugh escaped her as she watched the male, ”But if we can do that where the cove is, then we may as well go there?” Though she was hungry, admittedly, Isora was also interested in the sights that Embry sought to show her. |
