Hymn to the Fallen - Spring - June 06, 2017 Spring loved it here... but it just couldn't work anymore. Even though she loved this place more than she could ever explain in words, their numbers had dropped... too low. So she padded out of her den and howled her her mate @Heston, @Natashe, @Skylaris, @Soltero and herded her pups Hinton, Soni, Soren and @Seri to her side. She had made up her mind on what she wanted to do, but now she just needed to pass it on to Nat and her Mate. She wanted to go back to Canada, start up a new life their with her family. She'd always wanted to show her mate Yukon and now that Silver Creek could no longer hold itself up anymore she felt that now might be the time to go. Still she would remind her pups of Teekon if they ever wished to venture back here to this wonderful place. She loved Teekon, but felt it was time to move on. She dearly hoped her mate would agree and her sister and friend, along with her son, but if Sky, Soltero and Nat wanted to stay that was there choice. This was hers. RE: Hymn to the Fallen - Skylaris - June 07, 2017 RIP Silver Creek! <3
Numbers were too low. Skylaris had known for a while that Silver Creek was much too quiet, and the pack could simply not manage with so few. What they would do, she did not know. Her son was her main priority, so whatever happened he would come first. For her, anyway. The silver dove, truly, wished that things were different, that the pack might have got just a few more wolves. But alas, life was life and they could do naught to fix this. She carried Solly by the scruff of his neck, padding swiftly to where the call from Spring had come from. Walking with three legs was just a part of her life now - she was used to it. The dove had learned how to actually move, and with a little speed too, so she wasn't doing bad in that regard. About the call, she assumed it was to plan what would happen next - that seemed like the main issue that had to be resolved. Would they disband and part ways, or would they stay together and find a new pack? Or might they do neither, and instead leave the Teekon? If that was the case, would she and Soltero go or stay? "Spring." The mother nodded in greeting to the Alphess, giving a wag of her tail accompanied by a smile. She had her own pups, too, so if they stayed in the Teekon a new pack would need to be found, very soon. The few adults could not care for both Spring and Sky's litter; a pack would be needed to help feed and protect the young. What were Spring and Heston's plans, if they had any at all? There was much to be discussed. RE: Hymn to the Fallen - Soltero - June 07, 2017 His mother had moved swiftly the moment the call could be heard. The meaning of it, he had no clue, but his mother seemed to be adamant that they had to go and see what was happening. What was happening? "Mama, where we goin'?" The boy asked, hanging limply from the jaws of Skylaris. "Whas happ-nin'?" Maybe she didn't know either. On arrival at the scene, Skylaris put him down on the ground and spoke to the one he knew as Spring. "Hai S-Spwing!" He chirped, tail wagging just like his mothers. He hadn't seen the alphess much, nor spoken to her, but Sky seemed glad to see her so she couldn't be a threat! Still, though, he pressed against his mothers chest as she sat. He was placed between her front legs, where it was warmest. RE: Hymn to the Fallen - Natashe - June 07, 2017 Nobody was around anymore and the numbers were far too low, that had been known for a long time. Despite the low numbers Nat had continued to hunt and patrol like normal, keeping the pack's stocks full of rabbit, Badgers, and whatever medium sized prey she could find around the area. She had just sank her teeth into a rabbit she had caught for herself when Spring called, and with a small sigh and a flicker of worry she picked her meal up and carried it to the area she was called to. She saw Spring with Hinton, Soni, Soren, and Seri and spotted Skylaris with Soltero and wondered what was happening. Sitting down she dipped her head to her sister and smiled at Sky "What's wrong Spring?" she asked softly. |
