are you gonna stay the night? - b - Galileo - May 14, 2014 this is going to be interesting <3 @Bazi
The lone wolf trotted down along the creek and into the mouth of the wetlands. He frowned as he felt the ground turn considerably more humid underneath his paws.Again he found himself wondering along the terrotories of Swiftcurrent Creek. Coincidence or not there he was, a lonely white speck of brown and black, standing in the middle of nowhere with his snout pointing to the sky. Suddenly his lips parted slowly and a long and anxious howl escaped into the air. After what seemed to last a good two minutes he brought his head down and sat, longing for the snowy figure he had impregnated in his mind, to appear like she did. He was tired of tossing and turning, of sleeping in the cold when his heart burned with another desire. He sat in the cold marshy floor, waiting for a response. A million thoughts and possible scenarios crossed through his head making him a bit dizzy. As he waited with his tail curled above his toes, his mind wandered to the day he had had the pleasure of meeting the young girl. Like an angel illuminated by the dim lighting of the afternoon and veiled under a coat of pure snow, she had appeared offering him a world he had never seen. The key she had given him now layed on his hands, and as he twisted in into the lock and turned the handle he hoped he had made the right choice. There was no turning back now, the door had been opened and he was going in. RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Bazi - May 15, 2014 :D
The pack is technically full, but I've asked the CMs what the situation is since you started the 'process' quite some time ago. Unlike Galileo, who had progressed well beyond the silliness of youth, Bazi was in the thick of it. Her confidence had been vastly inflated by her recent promotion, and other changes soon followed. As a leader, she was demanding, and whatever mild-mannered diplomacy or peacekeeping abilities had been instilled in her as a youth were falling away. The Creek had two feisty girls at its helm, with only Njal to rein them in - and he would soon be busy looking after his own, actual children. In the social arena, she was far more forthright now than she perhaps had the right to be. Ferdie and Jace had both felt it. She was also a sly flirt; especially around Cutthroat, whose brash manners intrigued her in the same way that the older, unaffiliated wolf did. It was this creature that she happened upon now, standing quietly at the very edge of the Creek's territory. Bazi approached at a trot, tail raised high and with a questioning expression on her face. A long time had passed since she had asked Galileo to join the pack, and she had started to lose hope that he ever would. "You ran off in a hurry last time," she said by way of greeting, cocking her head to one side and suppressing a grin (poorly). "I hope you're here to apologize for leaving me to look after the newbie on my own." RE: are you gonna stay the night? - Galileo - May 18, 2014 Bazi appeared promtly after Galileo's howls faded in with the noises of the early night. The male could not mask his joy when the lovely female walked into the scene, her white pelt as stunning as ever, although her eyes carried more wisdom and tiredness than before. Galileio greeted her with his usual bow, that used to woo the ladies all over the place, in times like this chivarly was lost, few boys cared enough to treat ladies with care. Galileo was one of them. "Bazi" he barked, a magnetizing smile showing his appreciation to her presence. The dainty female approached with her tail held erect in the air and her eyes carrying a question he knew to well. She asked about his sudden disappereance the last time they'd met, when in the middle of the rain they had huddled under a small cave for cover. It was quite a nice time in his opinion, until they had been awkwardly interrupted by one of Bazi's own packmates. "Yes, sorry about that" he barked returning her smile and flicking an ear back as if to pretend he was embarassed. " I figured you could take better care of her..." he barked not really maning anything off it. The reason he had left was due to the interruption, he didn't feel comfortable now that the other female had appeared. "Some are not as perceptive towards outsiders as you are Bazi" he added, remembering a black she-wolf's threat in previous days. RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Bazi - May 19, 2014 So Swiftcurrent is still rammed. I don't know if you want to join a neighbouring pack or keep Galileo as a loner?
Bazi rolled her eyes at that, but accepted the gallant bow with a broad grin. Sky had a habit of bulldozing her way through social situations, all enthusiasm and misdirected energy - of to the dismay of those involved; Galileo - it would seem - included. She was nice enough, but something about her didn't sit quite right. For someone so new to the Creek, there was far too much familiarity already, and not enough ritual submission. "I don't know if I'm that perceptive," Bazi responded, but clearly didn't believe herself; vanity was among the traits that had blossomed since her promotion, and she absorbed the praise like a sponge. Of her current pack-mates, Cutthroat was probably the most flattering - and although his way with words could be brash and simple, she appreciated it all the same. "So.. " The Creek leader looked left along the invisible fence, then right, ears flicking back and forth like fluffy satellite dishes. "..what're you doing here now?" RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Galileo - May 20, 2014 waa his heart lies in the creek
Galileo didn't make much of her eye rolling and comtemplated her face with an expectative gleam in his eyes. Then Bazi's coldness made his heart droop a little, he careless remark about being -or not- perceptive towards strangers rubbed off him in a bad way considering that he was a stranger. The female's eyes seemed to have lost their gentle glow, her face was dull and expressionless as far as the male could tell. Then she spoke once more with what Galileo thought to be impatience. "I know it's long overdue Bazi," he began, his voice as calm and recollected as usual, "I've thought about your proposal, and I wish to accept it, if you'd still let me.." he barked softly. His eyes were serious and expectant to her answer, "I do not want to continue being a stranger, that way you'll be more perceptive?" he added the last past as a light hearted joke. RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Bazi - May 21, 2014 Ah! Receptive, not perceptive, I think - I thought he was saying that she was a good judge of character. :)
Bazi fell silent, contemplating this. Swiftcurrent Creek was nearly at capacity, but Fox had given her leave to accept those that would be an asset to the pack - and Galileo would be. He would have to prostrate himself in front of Fox on occasion, but that was part and parcel of living in a pack. Trade a slice of dignity for protection and the bounty that came with communal living. "Well..I'll have to check my list.. " she began, but the ruse broke almost instantly. The hard edge of leadership gave way to the girlish enthusiasm he had fallen for at Duck Lake, and Bazi rushed forward to butt her head against his mottled shoulder. "Come on, then! I'll introduce you!" RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Galileo - May 21, 2014 yes! oops sorry por the confusion
The young female's silence was almost deafening, he could hear his own heartbeat thumping in his chest, and every second seemed eternal. Galileo's feet shuffled, as he thought he'd get rejected and would have to sleep with only the companion of the stars above his head -not that it was bad, but he was hoping he could sleep as a member of the Creek that night. Finally the precious white girl spoke, "Well..I'll have to check my list" she barked coolly. Galileo's heart dropped a little as he realized he was not the only wolf that had fallen under Bazi's charms, there was probably a long line of other wolves waiting for a chance to join. Then her expressionless face turned into a happy grin, and the male could not help but smiling with her. He'd seem to have done it. Now all that was left was meeting the Alpha and hoping he'd make a good impression on her too. "Right behind you" he barked as the female bumped her head into his shoulder, he nibbled at her ear before she left as a simple yet meaningful gesture that marked the start of a strong friendship. thanks for the wonderful thread :3
RE: are you gonna stay the night? - b - Bazi - May 29, 2014 Victory. Bazi wheeled around and romped off into the heart of the Creek, barely aware of whether or not Galileo would follow. But of course he would follow. She had snared him now - her first recruit, caught by the heart strings and charmed into leaving his old life. The fact that this older, worldly wolf would drop everything to follow her made Bazi feel powerful. But it wasn't a power she respected, or understood the impact of - and whatever sense of responsibility she was supposed to feel for another's heart was nowhere to be seen. |
