How does hunting work in-game? - Katya - July 04, 2017 Complete noob question, but how does hunting work in-game? I'm currently in a thread hunting small prey with another wolf. They have worked out a strategy and are about to strike. Realistically, it will take just my post to catch the animal and kill it, but that doesn't seem fair to the other player. The other player is waiting on my signal, but it feels unnecessary to have both wolves bring down the animal. Also, would it take more than one or two wolves to take down large hoofed prey, like sheep or elk? CM note: I updated the title of your thread to follow our FAQ format. :) RE: Hunting - Antumbra - July 04, 2017 What thread are you referring to? Hunting is different from person to person depending on the prey and what they like to play out. If your character is hunting with another character, you'd follow the most realistic route IMO. Alternatively, you could PM the person on what they'd like to do. We also have this misc. hunting roll thread you could use to determine whether or not your character catches it. As far as prey size and what your wolf can catch, the bigger the prey, the more wolves it would take. I'm not sure if a wolf could bring down a sheep by itself (maybe?) but probably not a ram. A deer would realistically take at least 2 or more and an elk/moose would take several. RE: Hunting - Katya - July 04, 2017 Thank you so much! The thread is here, but I think I have my answer. |
