Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - July 31, 2017

The young white wolf headed out to find @Galaxy, the young pup she had been teaching about the stars. However, it was daytime, and she was not looking to teach Galaxy about stars. Even though she had been told it was not her fault, and she was back, Korei still felt the guilt that she swallowed back so long.

She sought the young pup out, with the intent to let off her guilt once and for all, by giving an apology. She started by looking by the rendezvous zone for the pups, and quietly called for Galaxy, well aware she could wake up anyone else inside if they were asleep. She had no idea how long they slept for.

Galaxy really wanted to figure out why Vela hated her so much now, though she didn't know how to deal with the other girl's distaste and wound up simply avoiding her to keep the peace. It made her sad—they had gotten along so well, once—but she just couldn't figure out what she'd done wrong or how to make it all better.

Despite this, the pup refused to dwell on it and wallow. The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing and, for once, she didn't feel hungry. She hadn't even eaten that much, either. She hadn't had much of an appetite since overhearing Vela, although Galaxy didn't really connect the two. It just made her happy that she didn't feel that constant, gnawing ache in her gut anymore.

She found a stick and was waving it around in the air when Korei Julia arrived. The instant the Omega strolled into sight, Galaxy froze. She then galloped right up to her older sister, dropping into a playful bow at her forefeet and flourishing the stick right beneath Korei's nose in a clear invitation to play.

Korei thought about how she was going to do this, would Galaxy even understand what she was apologizing about? Galaxy was so young, did she even understand death? Korei was broken out of her thoughtful trance when the young pup came out, carrying a stick with her. She giggled a little, the sight of that made her rather happy.

Korei got down as well into a play bow, but then shook her head when she remembered why exactly whe saw here at first. "Wait, Galaxy, there's...can you put the stick down?" she asked politely to the pup. She then sat down, and urged for the pup to. "I want to say something. Something I want you to listen to."

The yearling initially mirrored her playful bow, though a moment later she righted herself and grew serious. Korei asked Galaxy to put down the stick, then sat and motioned for the Omicron to do the same. The puppy considered resisting, yet she sensed something heavy in the air. She loosened her jaw, letting the stick tumble to rest on her milky white toes even as she plopped her haunches on the ground and peered up at her older sister.

"What is it?" she prompted.

Korei waited until Galaxy would be giving all her attention to Korei, and dropped the stick. Korei sighed, she finally thought up the words she was going to use.

"Galaxy...I'm sorry...I'm sorry I distracted Papa. He could have helped you, but I asked a question, and I'm sorry....I'm sorry that you fell" she said slowly, as if Galaxy was going to get angry at her for revealing it was even her fault that she had fell.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - August 01, 2017

Korei spoke with such sincerity that all desire to play slowly leeched out of the youngster. She listened carefully, eyes slowly squinting more and more with every word. None of it really made any sense to Galaxy. She did remember her older sister warning her about asking their father too many questions, but why was Korei sorry? She mentioned falling and Galaxy's eyes shifted side to side in confusion.

"...huh?" she said after a stretch of silence. "I f—ohhh..." It suddenly clicked: Korei was referring to that fateful night with the falling stars. The pup's lips pursed, as she was still having trouble understanding her sibling's apology. "It's okay, I'm okay," she said cheerfully in the end.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - August 04, 2017

The pale Korei watched Galaxy's reaction, at first thinking she had forgotten. Had the fall caused some kind of amnesia? Had the fall broken Galaxy more than they thought? Korei thought more guilt with those thoughts, that was until it seemed to click into her head.

"Are...are you sure?" she asked, feeling unsure if Galaxy was being genuine. If she was, it amazed Korei. Amazed at how much Galaxy was like herself, being cheerful till the end. And then, in the end with thinking about that, she smiled. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if Galaxy was like her.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - August 08, 2017

Korei pressed and Galaxy tried not to sound exasperated as she emphatically replied, "Yes." She then peered at the stick before her eyes lifted back to her sister's face. "Now can we play now?" she requested, oblivious to her own redundancy. She didn't wait for the she-wolf to answer, instead snatching up the stick and then running directly at her elder sibling with a playful war cry emitted around the piece of wood.

Korei was at first confused at how Galaxy could forgive her so quickly. But, she let go of that as soon as Galaxy asked if they could play. That felt like something that could bring the mood up, and that was something that Korei would really like to do.

So, she got into a play bow as Galaxy ran at her with the stick, jumping to the side while giggling at how silly her young sister looked with the stick in her mouth. "Can't catch me!"

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - August 09, 2017

Korei maneuvered out of the way, deftly sidestepping Galaxy's lighthearted attack. The puppy dug her paws into the loam, stumbling slightly as she spun around and leaped at her older sister again. "Can't catch me!" Korei taunted and Galaxy's eyes glowed as she regarded the Omega's playful pose.

"Posed to gra' the stick!" Galaxy declared around the very object in her mouth, dipping forward herself and waving it in Korei's face again.

Korei looked at Galaxy confused for a moment, then she laughed at herself for thinking Galaxy was going to hit her with the stick. Knowing how this game was to be played, she came back in front of Galaxy, making a grab for the other end of the stick and aiming to pull on it, but not too hard.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - August 10, 2017

A proverbial light bulb blinked on over Korei's head and she made a lunge for the stick. Galaxy squeaked, clenching her teeth tighter around the wood as her older sister nabbed it and tugged. The puppy planted all four feet in the grass, the column of her neck straining as she attempted to yank backward. This effort didn't go much of anywhere, so the puppy instead began to worry her head back and forth, hoping to wrestle the stick free from Korei's mouth.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - August 14, 2017

Korei clenched her teeth around the stick as he little sister did the same, and they both pulled at their ends. Korei was larger, but she decided to go easy. She planned to let go after a time, pretending that galaxy would win, as she wanted to be fair to her sister, though when she did let go, she did not know just how exactly how hard little Galaxy wa pulling.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - August 15, 2017

She had played this very trick on Jarilo not so long ago, yet Galaxy didn't think of that until she found herself suddenly flying backward, the stick popping out of her mouth when she landed hard enough to smart. It tumbled against her forelegs even as she ignored the literal pain in her butt and jumped back to her feet, bending to snatch the stick off the grass.

This time, instead of moving forward to playfully taunt Korei, she waved it a few times and then darted away in the hopes of starting a cross between keep-away and tag.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - August 17, 2017

Korei could only watch as Galaxy fell back onto her butt, and was about to make sure that her younger sister was all right although she stopped herself when Galaxy appeared more than fine. The smaller wolf got right back up, and started to wave the stick in Korei's face before running off.

"Hey!" she shouted, giggling at how fun this was getting then giving chase after her younger sister, trying to get in front of her to cut her off and stop her so she could make a grab for the stick.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - September 07, 2017

Korei humored her and Galaxy squealed around the stick as she dug her pale toes into the earth and ran as fast she could. She wasn't the most coordinated wolf in the world (by a long shot), but despite a few stumbles, she managed to keep her feet and even put some space between herself and her older sister.

Quite suddenly, Galaxy whirled and dropped onto her belly. She panted, her eyes sticking sharply on Korei, watching her every move. There was a mischievous look about her as her tail waved, almost as if taunting Korei to come at her.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - September 07, 2017

Julia gave chase, still trying to catch the stick that Galaxy held in her jaw. Galaxy suddenly got down on her belly, eyes remaining on Korei. It caught the older sister off guard, she was very unsure about what exactly her plan was her.

But, she was playing a game. Surely such a young pup could not do much...Korei slowly approached, increasing her pace as she got closer. Once close, she made a daring grab at the stick.

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Galaxy - September 11, 2017

She attempted to swing the stick out of Korei's reach even as the she-wolf sprang for it, yet Galaxy was too slow. She felt the wood catch in her teeth even as her sister grabbed the other end. Galaxy growled, though her eyes danced impishly. She tugged back for a few seconds, then abruptly released her own hold.

As Korei presumably bounced backward, the puppy flopped in the grass, tongue lolling from her mouth. The play session had sapped her energy and now she was good and ready to lay here and chill, possibly even catch a few winks.

Mind wrapping this up for us? :)

RE: Should've Taken Your Fall - Korei Julia - September 13, 2017

Korei still had plenty of energy inside her, and she felt like bounding round the place. She had grabbed Galaxy's stick, and did not expect her little sister to let go of the stick, and she was bounced back.

She stood back up to catch galaxy laying down. "Galaxy? Gala-" she whispered, stopping realising that she was getting very, very tired. She she laid down by her, as to watch over the her little sister as Galaxy looked to be close to going to sleep.
