field trip - Bazi - May 20, 2014 After the previous night's drama, Bazi wanted nothing more than to leave the Creek for a few days and let the dust settle. Anger still burned hot within her chest whenever she thought of Ferdie and his unprovoked rage. In her mind, she saw his condition like a recurring abscess beneath the skin, filling with pus and filth until the pressure was so great beneath a bulb of angry, cracked skin that the whole thing just burst. And then it would start all over again. That was how abscesses worked. Eventually, the cavity would be just as full of terrible ooze and heaven help anyone that got too close. Not only was Jace wounded - he also seemed to serve as Ferdie's emotional anchor. If Fox chose to process the latter's case, Bazi wanted him within shouting distance of the alpha just in case. She still included in him the howled summons that floated from the northern edge of Creek territory that day, but fully expected him to decline the invitation to come alone. Two green wolves was good enough company. RE: field trip - Jace - May 20, 2014
Jace heard the feminine howl that called his name, he lay flat beside the creek bed ever so often his neck bleeding yet again. he wanted to ignore the call only because he did not wish to agitate his wound by moving around, however it was Bazi. Bazi his friend and his beta and he could not nor would he ignore her call. So with a small sigh and a sharp snarl of pain he walked towards the call. Not even caring if he didn't show up on time, if she found fault with that so be it. he tilted his head when he got there and promptly sat down blood dripping slightly from his wound. He hissed as he placed some more cobwebs on it then looked back up at Bazi You called Bazi? RE: field trip - Bazi - May 20, 2014 Just saw the post where Jace says 'lead the way' in the thread with Ferdie; keeping references to those events vague until we know what's happening!
Despite his injuries, Jace was first on the scene - not unusual, but she wouldn't have expected it. The wound on his shoulder was still open, and Bazi felt a surge of guilt to think that she might have wrecked yet another attempt on his body's part to heal in peace. "You could've howled back instead," she hmph-ed in favour of 'I'm sorry' or 'How are you?' - mostly to shift responsibility for the newly seeping wound back onto Jace. But he was a good wolf, a loyal wolf, and he would come even if two of his legs were bleeding stumps. Bazi angled one ear back, studying the drip-drip-drip of bright red that melted into his coat as if it had never existed. If she ever sustained injuries like that, it would look so much worse. "Did.. Scimitar take care of you?" she ventured. RE: field trip - Jace - May 20, 2014 she's getting so bossy self serving and jealous at times I love it lmao her and jace will probably eventually butt heads omg lol jace nodded his head and spoke quietly a simple hello would suffice bazi. he chuckled dryly. Jace frowned as his thoughts careened in another direcftion. since Bazi had gained the beta rank he was finding her to be a bit vindictive almost definitely bossy. He didn't mind as of yet but he wondered if eventually they would disagree about something and it would get ugly. Jace nodded his head I also saw the aspiring healer Razo. Am I right in assuming I'm staying here this trip? he looked at her wondering whether or not he'd be staying here. He supposed it was the smart thing to do given hiz injuries and ferdies instability at the moment. RE: field trip - Bazi - May 20, 2014 So fun, right?! :D I figured that power in the hands of the young must go to their heads.
Bazi made a face at his first comment, but it turned into a wry grin. "Hi," she over-enunciated. Whatever was leaking out of Jace, it wasn't his patience. Anger management had given him a zen-like quality that was hard to penetrate, though she had managed to put a few cracks in the mask on one previous occasion. If Athena and Scout hadn't been among the summoned, she would have poked the bear again today. The two newest recruits were presumably coming from further afield, and Bazi dropped onto her hindquarters to wait. "Razo? What's the deal with him and that Serengeti?" she asked, head cocked to the side. "And no - look at you, you're still bleeding." This she would not ask of him, however much it irked her to be leaving the Creek without a proper escort. "I'll take requests, though. Salt water fish? Horizon Ridge sand? Maybe I'll send one of the newbies in to try their luck with that psychotic Viking wolf they've got prowling the borders.." Her expression suggested that this was said mostly in jest. RE: field trip - Jace - May 20, 2014 yes very fun :) omg ur zen comment made me think of a series I watched where the cop had been wrongly accused and developed zen and it turned out he had turned out into a bada** from jail he kinda reminds me of jace now that I think of it tho jace is not humerous often Jace chuckled at her over enunciation and her wry grin. jeez Bazi talk about a welcome committee there Jace shook his head at her. He would have been unhappy to say the least had she decided to poke at his bear quality. He frowned in contemplation they say they just traveled together and that are not mates nor is Serengeti pregnant Fox asked her. he supposed that gave Fox more breeding stock to look over. he saw how she eyed up some of the males Bazi lately as well given he was a male it made him slightly uncomfortable. He frowned are yyou sure you want me to stay Bazi I'll go if you want me too and I like sea shells. probably kinda silly him bein all big, bad and burly liking delicate seashells but what was one to do you like what you like. RE: field trip - Scout - May 20, 2014 Scout pricked his ears forward at the call. Pulling out of the work-in-progress den, he headed towards Bazi's howl. Within a few minutes he arrived, she said hello to Bazi before turning to Jace, he was beginning the "h" when he froze, his jaw hanging out and his eyes bulging at the wreck. Clearing his throat, Scout shook his head and tried again, not even mentioning or asking what happened. "Hello, Jace." RE: field trip - Alyss - May 20, 2014 The white wolf wasn't too far behind Scout. She reached he meeting point, tongue lolling out playfully. " You had a party and began without moi? 'Ello Bazi, and 'ello you, you must be Scout, and--ooh, this party looks dead." she grimaced at Jace's condition. "Christ, Jace. What in God's name happened to you?" RE: field trip - Bazi - May 22, 2014 Hey guys - because Jace was banished from SCC, he can't actually be here. Danni and I talked about it, and this is what we're going to do:
- We're going to say that this thread takes place at the same time as Jace and Ferdie go to Fox for judgment. Whilst that is going on, this thread is starting - which might mean we'll have to change the thread to be a night-time thread. But that's OK! - The reason we are seeing Jace is because he is on his way out of the Creek after being banished - but none of our wolves know about it yet. - In my post, I am going to have Bazi hear Fox's call to meeting - we can come back to this thread when the meeting is done (with new information), Jace will slink out, and we can continue on with the knowledge of his banishment. Sound good?! The sight of Scout and Alyss, fresh and unblemished by politics, lifted the Beta's spirits. She greeted them with a bark, and was just about to introduce their purpose for being there when a sharp, urgent howl cut through the air. It was Fox. Bazi glanced at Jace, but said nothing - they both knew this would be about Ferdie. "Come on," she told the new recruits. The mission would have to wait. Without a further word, she rushed off towards the rest of the pack - blissfully unaware that Jace would not be following, and that this might be the last time she saw him. RE: field trip - Jace - May 22, 2014 He had managed to fool the white furred beta and truthfully best friend. She did not know he was leaving or had left only to return when she had called at risk of himself. however truth be told no matter what would transpire if the snowy female ever called he'd be there for her lay his life down in a second for her. He would miss her even in all her bossy glory. He watched her go a sense of loss burying its way into the gentle giant's heart. The feeling reaffirmed the fact that fox had been in the wrong in his mind. he had been defending his pack mates and himself. he whispered quietly for Bazi had run off far too quickly goodbye Bazi. I will miss you Then with one last blue eyed sweep he ran off towards the horizon and a new tomorrow. RE: field trip - Scout - May 24, 2014 sorry I'm so late! Been uber busy
Scout looked at the three of them before hearing the howl. He stood and began following Bazi. As he did so, he looked back at Jace. He slowed. Is... Why does he look so sad? Shaking his head, he picked up his pace to catch Bazi. RE: field trip - Alyss - May 24, 2014 The idiotic grin faultered. The howl for a summons was called. So why was Jace walking the other way? With a dark thought in her head, she began to pad swiftly o the call. RE: field trip - Bazi - May 29, 2014 Bazi left the meeting without saying a word, her thoughts flip-flopping between one thousand questions and the absolute stillness of shock. Her subconscious was working hard to justify Fox, spinning ridiculous lies about the circumstances surrounding Jace's departure - that he and Ferdie had in fact been lovers, bound by their sickness. Their rabies. By the time the Beta returned to the spot where Jace had bid her farewell, she was seething with anger as a result of these manufactured truths. She had never questioned Shar-Kali - and she didn't want to question Fox, even if her actions were... questionable. Jace had controlled his problems (if they were problems) and had served them all faithfully. But he defended Ferdie. When it came down to a tough decision, he chose Ferdie over pack. And that simply wouldn't do. Bazi found the spot she had abandoned to heed the call and sat back down, waiting for Alyss and Scout to return. She wanted to leave the pack lands for a few days now more than ever. When the pair failed to return to her, presumably shocked by the news, Bazi departed Swiftcurrent Creek alone. Fading here as both Scout and Alyss were removed.
