Great Balls of Fire - Regan - September 26, 2017

@Vaati I think the nothern or southern borders of BFW are somewhere south of GreatWater lake, so is this okay? Backdated before Sept. 13th.

Regan had stopped at the lake's edge to take a long drink, filling his stomach with the cool liquid before setting off again. The large male lumbered at a steady pace his eyes flashing to and fro as he kept an eye on the area around him. The scent of a pack's borders made him shift directions to try and stay away from it, but soon he grew lost in thought and ultimately ended up walking a few feet away from the borders. When he came out of his thoughts the pungeant odor of urine and blood and decay filled his nose, causing him to look at the ground around him. The strength of the smell made him aware that he was awfully close to overstepping his boundaries, but the skull of a wolf drew him closer.

Eyes wide with disgust and morbid curiosity he lowered his muzzle to the skull and nudged at it, stumbling backward as what he could only guess was the rotten remains of an eyeball fell from the empty socket. He wrinkled his nose in disgust and muttered "what kind of pack litters there borders with the remains of their own kind?" it was freaking him out to be honest.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - September 29, 2017

this works perfectly! thanks :D

The scent of a stranger lurking near their borders is one that fascinates him, for more times than most it is an idiotically curious wanderer who has no intention of joining their ranks. Therefore, it is simply stupidity that one should loiter near a pack that displays the heads of their enemies on their borders, but many do nonetheless. It is Vaati's beholden and rather joyous task of driving them off, on the occasion that one creeps forth. Thunderous footsteps fall as he barrels towards the stranger, his presence alone forboding of what is to come. But he does not attack immediately, first pausing to evaluate the other of their intentions before his hackle raise and his ears fall back against his skull in blatant hostility. A low snarl balances on his tongue, the peaks of ivory canines peeking out from between his lips; he indicates for the other to explain themselves before he advances for the kill.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Regan - September 29, 2017

Just as he stumbed backward from the decaying skull, thunderous paws approached and he looked up to see a massive white brute snarling at him. "What the fuck" he muttered loudly and stood up his fur bristling as he eyed the brute who stood before him with hostility. Not one to hold anything back and not intelligent enough to realize that bluntness was totally not the right way to go here, he spoke unabashed "Chill dude. I was just checking out the nasty head on the borders. Pretty gnarly if you ask me, what kind of pack does this?" he spoke quickly and didn't show any signs of the nervousness that he felt rising in his throat.

While he tried to avoid fighting for the most part, he did occasionally like to engage in battle. It seemed that this could easily go toward a fight, and Regan found himself hoping that they would tussle. He coud go for a few new scars, and he'd like to see just how many scars he could place upon this brute's white pelt.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - October 01, 2017

The stranger does not take his chance to explain, to justify his presence on their borders, or even run. But that does not concern the young titan, it is simply his job to remove the other from the present vicinity. The matter of the other's physical intactness once he is done, does not weigh on his conscience in the slightest. He advances threateningly, ignoring the remarks made by the other, except for the one relating to the tactics used by Blackfeather Woods to defer those who cannot stomach their intensity. He chuckles lowly at the question, answering only in a one-worded retort. "Mine," It is his pack he protects as he lunges forward, knowing that the stranger has used up his chance to save himself. Vaati aims for its throat, getting straight to the point with his intent to simply rid him from their home, dead or alive.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Regan - October 01, 2017

Regan continued to move backward careful not to back against a tree or some other blockage that would leave him vulnerable and trapped. He flattens his ears back and curls his lips over his fangs, a low growl of warning rising up from his throat. He had not crossed the borders or done anything harmful to this man's pack, so why was the brute acting like he was going to attack?

He recieved a one word response to his question about the pack and had just enough time to see the man's muscles tense up before the lunge was made. Regan ducked low and shielded his throat by tucking his chin in tight, the brute's jaws crashing against his skull instead of reaching the lethal area they had been intended to. Regan scrambled away a few feet and circled the white fur brute, now realizing this was a fight and not running off when he should have.

pushing off the ground he propelled himself forward, keeping his chin tucked close up to the moment he was a few feet away from Vaati where he tried to barrel into the male and knock him over.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - October 01, 2017

Hit for Vaati.

The other's attempt to barrel him over could only be described as "cute". Vaati is big, and while the other is of formidable size, he does not compare. Out of everyone he has encountered, hardly any of them have. Only Rannoch had ever been a big enough, worthy opponent capable of defeating the spiderling, and yet, Vaati had bested him too. Perhaps any other means of attack would have proven sufficient in this fight, however, an attack on diminishing Vaati's size is one that would prove a failure, and while his intent to grab the other by the throat the first time did not work, he would attempt it again. He maneuvers himself quickly, so that while the other kept his chin tucked, the soft side of the back of his neck was left exposed for Vaati's jaws to clamp down on, and that is exactly what he would do. This area, he has learned with practice, is the most vital grip one can have on an opponent, one that would solidify the hold he needed to drag the other down and keep him there. He had done so many times before and had no doubt that he would do so again this time around.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Regan - October 02, 2017

Miss agai for Regan! sorry for the short post!

Regan had failed in his attempt to knock Vaati over was foolish and of course it had failed, and the opposing male was already swiftly moving back in for the attack. Regan ducked low and slid forward, turning his body to the side so that instead of his neck, Vaati clamped down on his shoulder. Grunting with pain Regan turned his head to the side and snapped at the side of Vaati's face, whether he succeeded and tore him open, or missed and the male released his shoulder it did not matter to him.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - October 02, 2017

Miss for Vaati & one more round after this :)

The other twists and turns, aiming at his face this time in an attempt to tear it open once more. Of course, he cannot let that happen and he tucks his chin and pulls away, escaping any harsh bite aimed in his direction. Using this advantage, he swoops under, attempting to swipe at the stranger's underside where the flesh is soft and easily sliced. He knows this from experience in fact, however, his strength is waning and his muscles grow tired by the minute. Perhaps he does not need to simply end the other as much as getting him away from their border; at this point, his attack is merely for sport and one he is quickly getting tired of.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Regan - October 02, 2017

Regan curses as his bite misses but he would not dwell on the unsuccesful attack, instead he moved away from the brute. Vaati wasted no time though and before Regan could get too far the white furred brute was slipping under him. Regan sucked in a sharp breath and reared up onto his hind paws, balancing and towering over the brute before twisting his body and dropping back to the ground on the right side of Vaati.

Growling deeply he circled away from the white male his eyes flashing with anger. He could run now but he still hadn't gotten the chance to draw blood, while his own shoulder dripped from the bite. Regan ran forward and lifted his upper body up in the air, aiming to wrap his forelegs around the brute's neck where he would pull him against his chest and tear at the top of his neck and the back of his throat. He once again guarder his throat by tucking in his chin and tilting it to the side slightly, blocking his jugular from any bites.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - October 02, 2017

Hit - and there is room for Regan to escape so you could have him dodge out in your next post if you want :)

His attack does not land, and in this time the stranger makes way for his own assault, revving up on his hind legs and entangling his forelimbs with Vaati's head, trapping him. And it works, momentarily. It is a move Vaati has never seen before, and for a second he processes, before swiping at the other's chest with claws extended. This gives him the momentum to push the other out of ways from his facial area, and any soft spot on his neck that the other sought to maim. With the other's failed attempt, he takes advantage of their position, balancing so that his weight is supported solely on the other, overbearingly. It is an open area he attacks, and his nails are sure to do some damage, but he has grown increasingly tired and his lack of energy at this point will give the other a window of escape, if he chose to take it. If not, Vaati would continue his assault until there was little life left in him, and that spirit is evident in his eyes as they train mercilessly on the other, ripping at what he could where he could.

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Regan - October 03, 2017

Regan stumbles backward on his hind paws able to keep himself upright for a few moments more moments until Vaati places his weight upon him, throwing him off balance and causing him to drop back down to the ground once more the other's nails scratching across his shoulders and over the bite mark that still remained open and bleeding from before. Regan gasped with pain and stumbled as the shock of agony caused his foreleg to give for a moment. Regan knew this was his time to run and so far he was unable to make any hits on this brute, Vaati's skill being far better than his.

Growling once more he turned around and fled, limping slightly and not looking back a single time to see if he would be tackled to the ground. Once far enough away he lay down and licked the wounds he coud reach. For the others he would head back to Greatwater Lake and clean up with a swim through the waters.

Regan out! Feel free to post again or Archive! I enjoyed this alot :D

RE: Great Balls of Fire - Vaati - October 03, 2017

thank you so much! ❤

Finally, the stranger relents, backtracking his intend and fleeing the vicinity while he could. Wise decision, Vaati smirks and snarls at the retreating form of the other, limping away with haste. It was only a tiny display of what Vaati, what Blackfeather Woods was capable of, and for that, the other should be thankful he did not permanently join their ranks as a head on their border like most of their victims became. Nevertheless, Vaati's muscles ache as he too reverts into the depths of the dark woods, the result of too much too soon after being forced to hang low and let his body recover from the Cerberus's assault. It is a fact he loathes, that for a moment, they had rendered him incapable of doing what he does best, however, the tides have turned and he is in full swing again, and more than ready for the impending confrontation to come.
